i freelance poetry, but I've never shared it with anyone until now. also I'm bored. so here we go. My first poem in this collection. critiques, comments welcome please. some of them are autobiographical, some of them aren't. you can try to guess if you'd like.

Short, evocative, beautiful. I applaud you. If I had any critique it'd be that the ambiguity is at a level higher than suits my tastes, failing to convey the story. The feeling, however, it conveys in spades, and I'm legitimately left saying "Wow."

i know, mostly the poems are for me anyway. for my feels. but thank you for the compliment.


 
this one i was trying to do something new with the stanza/rhyming pattern. not sure if it worked out too well, but see for yourselves. might wanna put your browser on 100% zoom for it. i made it too small on accident haha.

Oh. I must reiterate - Wow. Wow, wow, wow. I dunno if the parallel between physical imagery of the sea and physical imagery of a woman's body was intentional - I think it was - but either way, I'm loving it.
