Hey, I'm Lind and I'm on a pretty specific hunt. A little bit about me:
  • Only interested in 18+ partners as I am an adult and would feel weird about RPing with someone who is still in high school.
  • Not terribly good at fancy formatting but I'll do some basic stuff if it's a necessity. If you want me to go more complex, you might have to show me some examples and have a little patience. I'm good with BBCode but I'd never heard of BBCode+ until joining this site.
  • I'd consider myself lazy lit. Just give me something to work with and we're golden.
  • Ditch-friendly. Sometimes people stop responding, it happens. If you approach me later with new RP or want to continue, I'll still be game.
  • I'm pretty variable with posting time. Sometimes it can be twice in one day, sometimes once a week. It all depends on my schedule. I'll never hound you for replies but will remind you if you specifically request it of me. I'm even okay with waiting a month or two for a reply if needed.
  • Interested in M/F and occasional F/F, can reluctantly be convinced of M/M, though romance isn't the primary focus for this. I'd love it to be included, though.
  • I double if you'd like me to, but it's not required.
  • Canon characters? Yes. OCs? Absolutely.
  • I'm happy to RP here or Discord, whatever your preference is.
  • I'll provide samples on request.

Some of my OCs laid out in the most basic of terms include:
  • Martyr (Mover, Striker(Changer 1), Thinker 1), hero, a member of the [city name] Trinity. Team includes Saving Grace (Shaker, Mover, Blaster) and Judgment Day (Tinker/Thinker).
Martyr is a newer member of the Trinity, who previously were a themed duo. Her abilities aren't as marketable as a hero as those of Saving Grace, the head of the team who has an awe aura, flight, and blasts beams of light, but they do hearken back to the team theme. Judgement Day, whose abilities are confined to devices that help or hinder other capes depending on how he feels about the cape in question, has always sort of been the guy behind the scenes.

Martyr is able to move in blinks - disappearing and reappearing by up to a few yards, including through occupied spaces - and superficial wounds made on her are able to be weaponized. She can change blood from those wounds into notably sharp bladed weapons, ones that last for about an hour or until she allows them to flake away into nothing. Any wounds that these weapons come from effectively seal themselves up once a weapon is taken from them. Wounds that desperately require medical attention have not been witnessed as have been utilized in the same way, as it is believed that the pain of "drawing" weapons from wounds increases with the severity of the wound.

Additionally, Martyr has limited combat-focused precog abilities, ones that give her information on possible injuries coming her way roughly within the next two to three seconds.
  • Echo (Stranger/Changer, Master), antihero, who is out to put a stop to Narcissus (Master/Stranger, Changer), a villain.
Echo and Narcissus have a kiss/kill dynamic and are believed to have triggered at the same time and under the same circumstances.

(Echo's abilities are under major overhaul, I wasn't satisfied with them before. She and Narcissus have abilities inspired by House of Leaves and the functions of echoes/fantastic spaces therein with heavy hints of the Greek myth about them.)
I can provide more information about either of them or both! The side characters listed are both for doubling/NPCing purposes and are optionally characters that (if for some reason) you had interest in making your own, you'd be welcome to do so. As a note, I am absolutely willing to tweak these characters' abilities if asked. I like the concepts of them but the details are totally up for negotiating.

Some vague plot ideas I have:
  • An established villain network butts heads with a new up-and-coming hero.
  • An established hero faces a new villain they're not sure they can beat.
  • A hero and a villain set aside their differences and face the force that caused them both to trigger.
  • A hero and a villain set aside their differences to face an Endbringer.
  • A hero is seduced to villainy after being pushed to the edge one too many times.
  • A morally-ambiguous cape realizes they can enact the social changes they desire by joining up with the hero.
  • A cape faces the other cape who caused their trigger and gradually comes to realize, throughout the course of their conflict, that the two of them aren't so different.

I'm pretty easy-going, all told, and I'm not sure if offering all of this info is standard procedure, but here it is. Thanks for reading!

By Scion's magnificently golden abs! I'm interested.
Fantastic! Did you have a preference for OCs or canon? What sorts of plots do you like? I have a few vague ideas for OC-related plots and one for canons, thought it involves one of us playing Taylor.

For my ideas, I've had one for canon characters where Danny and Taylor both trigger at the same time resulting in multi-trigger powers. For OCs ideas, I have none, but I like yours.

I like these two in particular:
  • A hero is seduced to villainy after being pushed to the edge one too many times.
  • A cape faces the other cape who caused their trigger and gradually comes to realize, throughout the course of their conflict, that the two of them aren't so different.

Hmm, undeniably interesting though I've been leaning towards OCs a bit lately. I wouldn't be opposed to hearing more about your idea, though!

And those two could certainly be combined? A hero getting pushed to villainy through the combination of those two factors could certainly be a thing or the hero being pushed that way as the cape that caused them to trigger realizes their similarities.
