Please go to the Rules page and scan through them! I know they seem like a lot, but it's mostly just long-winded because I wanted to make sure everyone understood what I was saying. Just make sure you have the gist of what I'm asking. Thanks!

Doorknocker Dozu

75193eccad076b78a29109d4d74fdff5.jpg

Basic Statistics
Name: Dozu "The Doorknocker" Cross.

Age: 27

Nationality: He comes from the kingdom of Wedora.

Social Station: Lesser noble.

Hometown: Coastguard, the largest and richest city in the kingdom.

Occupation: Paladin of a dark god.

Relationship skills: Ranging from average to poor, not the most sociable guy.

Physical Characteristics
Height: 176 cm (5'7")

Weight: 75 kg (165.3 lb)

Race: Human

Eye Color: Glowing red

Hair Color: Jet black

Distinguishing Features: Large tattoo of a cage where the heart should be.

Psycological Characteristics

Mannerisms: Speaks with himself a lot, and tends to give monologues if nobody stops him.

Habits: Gets up early every morning to relax and clear his thoughts before begining the busy day.

Greatest Flaw: He is incapable of speaking the truth, even if he wanted to.

Best Quality: He's very sympathetic with other people's pain.

Personality

If you wanted to describe Dozu in one word, it would probably be "shy". Such profound shyness might interfere with his daily life, and his gentle nature collides especially with the job that has been forced upon him. Of course, that changes when he gets angry, but few people have ever seen it happen since he makes a great effort to maintain his patience in the worst of situations. He cares about the vision that other people have of him, mostly in regards to moral values; he wouldn't really care if someone found him ugly, but would be shaken if they mistook him for an evil bastard.

Since he's been cursed to not ever speak the truth, many misunderstandings arise, and that is very painful for him. It's especially problematic when someone who thinks badly of him requires his help, because Dozu's shyness would mix with his resentment towards this person and probably render him unable to bring himself to help said individual. He wouldn't be religious if he had a choice, but he's forced to pray daily to the dark god he serves. Currently, his greatest wish is to be freed from this evil god.

Your Story

Dozu was raised in a monastery and trained from an early age to become a paladin of a good god, so upon reaching maturity he was sent on missions and was eventually granted a lesser nobiliary title for his outstanding services. He was satisfied with his archievements and truly wanted to make the world a better place.

At some point, when he became involved with the inner workings of the church and nobility, Dozu was disgusted by the corruption and decided to seek new teachings to follow. Then, he was contacted by a superior being who claimed to be a defender of order and mercy. Dozu, in desperation, accepted to forgo his current beliefs and made a contract with this new god; who gave him power in exchange for eternal servitude. So, the paladin was tricked. He became able to wield dark magic, but also recieved a curse that made it physically impossible for him to tell the truth. He acquired an ageless body (not immortal), but was forever stained with the dark energy of this god, which slowly corrodes his mind and makes him lose sight of the division between good and evil. He'll do bad things thinking they're good.

Nadie
7bbf083d08b8d1edb93f3547c714c207.jpg

Basic Statistics
Name: Nadie (no surname)

Age: 19

Nationality: Unaffiliated/Southern Isles

Social Station: Outsider/Drifter

Hometown: Nameless Village

Occupation: Mercenary (Barbarian)

Relationship skills: Medium, non-existent while berserk

Physical Characteristics
Height:7' 7"

Weight: 326 lbs

Race: Quarter-giant

Eye Color: Green

Hair Color: Brown

Distinguishing Features: Massive size, long twin-braided hair

Psycological Characteristics

Mannerisms: Proud and ferocious in battle. Calmer outside otherwise, but no less battle-ready.

Habits: Speaks slowly and haltingly

Greatest Flaw: Refuses to admit to mistakes

Best Quality: Great at understanding people nonverbally

Personality
Nadie may appear to be a mindless brute, but she is fairly wise. She speaks slowly, choosing her words very particularly to get her point across. This in combination with her illiteracy and less-than-stellar understanding of Common language gives her the appearance of being rather slow-witted. While not stupid, it can take her a bit longer to understand something than most people. She is much better at understanding anything that doesn't involve numbers or words. She is keenly aware of other people's emotions, even if she doesn't understand what they are saying. That being said, she prefers to tackle problems head-on with brute force rather than through a complex strategy; it just seems like a more efficient use of time.

As strong as she is, Nadie is still rather superstitious. She believes in and prays to Peixnai, the sea mother; she even carries a bottle of seawater with her wherever she goes. While there isn't much she is scared of she is hesitant to attack aquatic creatures, who are closer to her goddess. She also has a soft spot for animals, though her view of what is 'cute' is rather skewed; a newt is just as loveable as a rabbit to her. Otherwise, she is a fierce fighter who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty... or bloody. She is proud of her strength and skill as a warrior, so much that she will go out of her way to find greater challenges for herself.

Your Story
Born in a village far in the southern oceans, Nadie grew up a quarter-giant among a tribe of humans. Having only met her mother at birth, her only knowledge of her giant side comes from her human father; her original tribe thought someone with only half of their blood would be weak, and thus the child was given to the father. And so Nadie grew up within the human village, soon towering over the inhabitants. Her size and strength made her the chief warrior among her people, but her father's words continued to ring through her mind. Was she really that weak? Was this the extent of her true strength? Eventually, seeking to prove her worth, she took a boat out one night towards the north.

Once she reached the mainland, she was met with a mixture of scorn and awe. Few had ever seen a half-giant, let alone any friendly creature with giant's blood. This was further complicated by the difference in language between Nadie and the people of this new country. What she did quickly learned was that gold spoke louder than words here, so she began making a name for herself as a mercenary. It wasn't easy, as she rarely fully understood what it was she was fighting for, but as time passed she began to work up her vocabulary. She fought against increasingly stronger foes, slowly mastering the land's weapon styles. She eventually learned of the ultimate challenge; a dungeon that few entered and fewer survived. Excited, Nadie took up her greatsword and what few belongings she had and made her way towards the mountains.
