Shibuya is one of Tokyo's special wards and one of its most notable shopping districts. The area is busy both night and day for its status as one of Japan's fashion centers and its rich nightlife. Students looking to unwind after a hard day usually meet up at the Statue of Hachiko in front of Shibuya Station.
Sakaguchi Academy is a prestigious academy located far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Its gates are closed to most, only those with connections or exceptional talents are admitted. Due to its relative isolation from the rest of Japan, about 90% of its students reside in the school's dormitories. Instructors are fluent in multiple languages and foreigners aren't as rare as one might expect here. Sakaguchi Academy prides itself on its students' creativeness and independence. As such, the money transfer from families to students is not permitted and students are required to join a club by their second-year. Students are required to wear the standard black and gold uniforms, however, they are also allowed to customize it to their heart's content.
The World of Vermilion is Shibuya's dark reflection. The abandoned shopping district is home to dangerous monsters the fight amongst themselves for control over the area. Skies alternate between dark, red skies and storms that cover the land in ichor. Buildings have become hives for the beasts that now stalk the ward. Entrance into this world is only permitted to the Evokers and portals are generally hard to come by.
