Lia
Fair is foul, and foul is fair.
Welcome
Hey there! Welcome to my interest check! My name is Lia and I'm 25. I have been around for quite a few years now, but it's been a while since I posted anything new. For the past three years, I've pretty much just come around to bump my past interest check. At the end, it dawned on me: was I still interested in the same old plots, or just too lazy to come up with new ones?
Well, since enough has to be enough at some point, here I am now!
All of my plots have realistic settings. Plot 1 and 3 are modern, while plot 2 is historical. They span across different genres, tones, and stakes, so feel free to look for the one that better suits your tastes and interests.
First of all, as I usually do, here are a few things about me and what I’m looking for:
- At the moment, I'm mostly interested in MxM pairings. They can all be either platonic or romantic depending on your preferences, just let me know.
- Shoot me a PM! I‘m more comfortable both talking and roleplaying that way.
- My posts can get quite lengthy, but I'm happy to match your style. I can be casual with about four paragraphs per post, or go full-on novella length, depending on what we have going on.
- I speak fluent English, but I‘m not a native speaker, so please be patient with any minor grammar mistakes. I do my best to prevent them from happening.
- Let’s be friends! Feel free to talk to me about anything.
- I try to get a post up at least once a week, but that can vary. I will let you know if anything unexpected happens.
- I don’t have any triggers, and I like mature themes. I’m okay with topics like death, suicide, murder, drugs, alcohol, any kind of medical conditions, and strong language. If you have any triggers, though, please let me know before we start. This is supposed to be fun, not traumatic.
- Please be over 18.
And now, for the plots! Please keep in mind that they are just starting points. If you want to add or tweak something before we start, feel free to share your own ideas.

- Plot (1): A stolen Dark Web laptop.
A man is walking through a dark alley in the middle of the night. He's got a backpack, a hoodie, and a fancy laptop. He just wants to get back home and isn't paying attention to his surroundings. When he gets mugged, he can barely process what is happening before the thug runs off with his stuff.
But this man is not just any man. He is a hacker who has been operating on the Dark Web for a few years now. And the laptop is not just any laptop, but the primary device he has been using for an important criminal operation. If he loses this laptop for good, it will not only compromise him, but also the entire operation and all the other hackers involved. And these guys? Well, they'd be less than impressed.
For days, the hacker uses a secondary device to keep communicating with the rest of the group, pretending everything is fine, even as they start growing suspicious. Meanwhile, he's trying to track his stolen laptop, but nobody seems to have turned it on since the theft. The pressure builds until he finally can't handle it on his own anymore. He needs backup. So he contacts another hacker from his group and tells him the truth. The bad news? He's pissed. The good news? He's in the area, and he agrees to meet him at a local coffee shop to come up with an action plan.
(No preferred role. Let me know if you'd prefer it to be platonic or romantic.)
- Plot (2): Victorian decorum and Victorian angst.
Ah, the infinite joys of life as a footman in a big rural estate. Opening doors. Serving tea. Carrying trays. Dealing with fancy aristocrats from all over England. Earning a solid pound every single month.
For a couple of years, a young man has been living this life. His days are always rather busy, but also quite unremarkable. As long as he does what is expected of him, the butler and the master let him fly under the radar. Besides, the estate is always so quiet, so uneventful… At least, until the master's son comes home.
The footman has never met him before. But he's heard the rumors. The young master is mentally unstable and has spent the past few years in an asylum. And there he is now, pale, with an edgy look on his eyes. The footman initially tiptoes around him, just like everyone else, but he ends up getting a little too close for comfort. And before he knows it, this young aristocrat seems to cling to him, for reasons he can't understand. Maybe he is too lonely. Maybe he is too sick and vulnerable. Maybe he has no one else. Either way, the footman never signed up for this.
Still, if this is what finally gets him in the good graces of the master, how bad could it be? A few extra shillings a month definitely never hurt anyone.

- Plot (3): A last boy band tour.
Five years ago, a world-famous boy band announced their end. Fans cried, tabloids speculated, and social media was on fire. However, nobody could say it came as a surprise. Scandal had been brewing for quite some time at that point, with rumors about an abusive manager, a merciless record label, and growing disagreements among the band members themselves.
After the band's breakup, each of the members went their separate ways. One of them reinvented himself with a solo career that ended up being just as successful as the old group, if not more. Another one decided to quit altogether: no more projects, no more contracts, no more shows, no more events. Except for a few pictures taken by paparazzi over the years, he wasn't seen at all after their last interview together.
But now, everything has changed. Their old record label contacted them. Their proposal? A small reunion tour, a lucrative offer for just a handful of shows in a handful of cities, no more than a couple of weeks. Everyone agreed, including the member who had been away from the spotlight for years. As soon as they meet again, however, complicated old feelings are reawakened between him and his old bandmate. It's only unfortunate that the bandmate soon realizes that he is not there for the money or the nostalgia, but for revenge.
(No preferred role. Let me know if you'd prefer it to be platonic or romantic.)
