MrBossMan MrBossMan Any plans in development? :D Are we going along with the DnD style idea or? Just curious.
Probably going to go with the D&D style of roleplay. I'll have to allocate a fair amount of points to each player which is what I'm trying to do now. So far I'm thinking about giving everyone 15-16 points apiece. Does that sound fair? Also as for when we start this thing I'll probably have the opening post up tomorrow.

What do you mean by points though? I've been reading through a LOT some DnD manuals and stuff and I didn't see anything about points.

Attribute points, they're like the most important number to make a Character in D&D.

That's the problem though, I don't know how many points would be fair for each player character. I'd hate to give my character like 20, then give yours like only 10. See what I'm saying? I'd at least need everyone to be fair about it and give your character a reasonable amount of points.

So, everyone, post below how many points you think your character should get. Then explain why you feel they should get that many. After everyone has done that, then puts those points inside their character sheet. We will start the roleplay.

Ur character would hve too many points...

Hmmm how about this MrBossMan MrBossMan from the cs we can get the vibe of a character. I’ll try and create a system adapted to our roleplay. I’ll throw my pitch tomorrow evening and yall tell me if it’s good.
Sorry :( I'm basing it off of Baldur's Gate and in that game characters are usually given between 80-100 ish points with the minimum and maximum scores being from 3 till 18 (19 for some races).

Guys how about we all get 90 points each and we distribute them according to our characters? Tbh thats the average no. of points that is assigned to a character in a typical dnd setting.

Im so confused over these points xD whats the whole systen about ahhaah
Can we just collectively battle it out and quality of narrative and realism determines the outcome of the fight ahaha

LOL basically you have 6 ability scores, strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, wisdom and charisma. and you can have a minimum of 3 points till a maximum of 18 points (sometimes 19 depending on the race) according to your character's inborn traits plus training. for example My elf would have a high dexterity, both because of his elven heritage and also because of his training with bows and stealth. he would have average intelligence however since he'd never been one to sit and read a lot, which doesn't make him stupid by any means, just not as intelligent as a scholar or a mage. Henri would have high charisma for example since he's a bard, he's good at talking to people and stuff, yet he would have low strength as he's not much of a fighter i would guess.

Tbh i think its better if we just act out the fights because the dice rolls thing is confusing a lot of people i think haha XD. Still though it would be useful to flesh out the ability scores of our characters to have a better idea of their abilities and weaknesses. That's just my opinion though.

I'm with Shadow, no need to use dice rolls. But since I'm not a main protagonist, (though I hope to be a main or at least recurrent antagonist) I am not one to decide. I just find that sometimes Dice rolls get in the way of the story and it's easier to type it out unless you want to do character on character action or when you are fighting you want to make it more random.

Oh well... at least its just the points. I'm confused in general (:

I never got dice. Shadow tried explaining and explaining. But I am like... poker face.
