Isla Fey
Isla laughed softly as a small wet nose sniffed her hand in an affectionate way before the tiny creature clambered onto her head in search of shiny things. The Niffler had spotted the sparkly hair slide in her silver-blonde hair and was now trying to pry it from her.
"Gordon, no," she said firmly, picking the furry, mole-like creature up and placing him in front of her with a stern expression.

She had found 'Gordon' just a week ago, whilst visiting Hagrid at his Hut. The baby Niffer had been abandoned by it's mother and attached itself to her after she offered it one of her sparkly hair clips. Since then she had decided to look after him, keeping him secret from as many people as she could. Nifflers were certainly not allowed at Hogwarts, but someone needed to care for him.

"I found you some food, now come on. You must stay in my room until i come back." Isla did not want to leave him whilst she attended the welcome gala, but she also had a a feeling he would follow her anyway.

Hiding him under her robes, the young veela girl made her way back to her dormitory, sneaking him under her bed and whispering for him to stay. Once she had dressed, she headed out, with a brief look under her four poster. Sure enough, he was there. At least she had thought so.

Isla was quite taken with the decoration of the Great Hall, so taken that she nearly jumped in alarm when a tiny paw tugged on the strap of her shoe. Looking down she gasped, hastily checking no one had seen her pet.
"Gordon!" she whispered, grabbing him and running off into a dark corner, "You silly thing!" With great effort she managed to charm her clutch purse to be bigger on the inside and coaxed the little creature inside with a sparkly hair clip. With a loud sigh, she made her way out from the corner, hoping no one had seen her, and unaware of the tiny paw struggling to get out of her bag.

Emerson Albrecht

The fact that he admitted that he, himself, was hardly a dancer was strangely comforting. It wasn't necessarily that Emerson was an awful dancer, it just happened to be one of the few things that made her feel a little less confident and that minute lack of self-assurance tended to throw her more than she would like to ever admit. However, being with Omar, together in their lack of dancing prowess, could be exactly what she needed.

"It seems your attractive qualities are endless," she hummed. An appreciate smile brightened her features as he held the door for her. "I thank you kindly."

Her chocolate gaze took in the splendor of the Great Hall, a place she had frequented as a student of Hogwarts many a time. The prefects had clearly done a wonderful job and despite her own lack of creativity, she was able to appreciate the artistry. There was always a tiny part of her that both envied and adored people with that kind of imagination.

"The prefects really outdid themselves for this, huh. It's pretty awesome," she stated with a smirk.

Vasilisa Ivashkov

Before Vasilisa could respond, Louisa suddenly arrive. Even though there was a smile on her face. Vasilisa knew she was apprehensive. Louisa was a talker when she's nervous. Or no... probably, maybe all the time. Vasilisa can't help but to chortle as a response. "I'm rambling again, aren't I? Whoa. How on earth can you walk on that thing? They're like pretty daggers." Vasilisa thought that she swayed the other girl but Louisa managed to observe something else.

"They're quite comfortable actually." Surprisingly, it is comfortable. "Oh, by the way this is Midas Doherty. A Gryffindor prefect. Midas, this is Louisa Willows. Fellow Hufflepuff." Vasilisa added with a smile as she glance at Midas. She wanted to chuckle when she saw Louisa's expression changed. Evidently, the fifth year didn't notice the dashing young man with them and that made her flush and bid them goodbye abruptly. Vasilisa looked behind her, the smile was still on her face. "Her heart is on the right place. She's just... tense." Vasilisa said quietly, as if to explain Louisa's behavior. "My name is Vasilisa, by the way. Vasilisa Ivashkov." A gentle smile was etched on her lips.

It was really a good thing that she didn't greeted him by his first name. Vasilisa was on the verge of calling him Matthias, she heard the name a couple of times but they never actually got a chance to talk to each other before. Not only it would be very embarrassing calling him in a different name, it is probably downright offensive for the man. She can sense that he's proud but not that haughty. "We did work hard for everything. And with the short time they've given us, I say we did a good job." A chuckle escape her lips but then a pang of worry filled her expression. "It really is a cause for celebration. I just hope that someone won't spike the drinks because detention is not worth it."

Arianna Dela Cour

"No... not drunk. Just....just enough to get courage, I suppose." Aria answered her quietly. She's not the one to imbibe but a little grown up juice to loosen her nerves can help. However, she's not even sure if someone can spike the punch. If ever, she can just settle for giggle water. Anything is better than pumpkin juice. Still holding Preston's hand, she gave it a little squeeze. "Everyone will definitely show. Sad to say this is mandatory." she added, giving off another pout. The idea of them dressing up for a get together was slightly rubbish. She was actually okay if they went to a little trip to Three Broomsticks for Butterbeer and some pumpkin pasties. But no, the gala needs to be a grand as the prefects can deliver.

Aria looked at her a sly smile upon her question. "Of course. Gorgeous girls in their pretty outfits." she said simply, her dimpled smile was still on her face. "Dress to impress, am I right? This is the only time we can dress up before we can go back wearing black for another year." Aria then abruptly stop walking, stopping Preston at the same time. "Hoping to see someone?" Aria asked, flashing a radiant smile at her.

Preston Walker
"Oh. Well just for courage I guess that's okay. But do you really think they'll have alcohol at this thing? I mean. It is run by prefects....oh! Unless you mean somebody would spike the punch. I guess that's possible..." Preston would have contiinued talking if Aria hadn't begun. But she hadn't really been talking about much of anything so it didn't really matter to be honest. And she had technically been mumbling...

Judging by the reply she received from Aria...Preston still couldn't tell whether she was into girls or not. She had to almost physically force herself not to sigh. Luckily, she succeeded. but at the last question...

Preston blushed just a touch around her ears and on her nose. She always hated how splotchy she looked when she blushed. "Uh...no. No one in particular. Just...thinking that I could maybe put myself out there. Meet someone. Maybe."

Francesca Simmons
Madam Pince the librarian hardly looked up as Francesca swept into the room, her expression now slightly less surly. "Miss Simmons, will you ever leave?" she asked without real irritation as Francesca passed her and made her way toward the astronomy section of the library and took a seat in a comfortable chair with a book titled 'The Truth In Our Stars: A Guide to the Constellations' by Henrietta Ursa. Francesca chuckled at the witty irony of the author's name and settled down to read, recent events fading fast from her mind.

"The gala is in the Great Hall," a voice drifted to the front of her mind and Francesca slowly looked up and around the room to see the source of the voice. It seemed impossible that anyone would be addressing her, as no one would care if she attended the gala or not, however there was no one else in the library but Madam Pince, and it would be illogical for the person to be addressing the librarian on such a matter. Finally Fran spotted the girl who had spoken, who was giving her a suspicious look.

"I'm well aware of that, however I don't wish to loose brain cells attending such a frivolous and vapid function," she said, a little petulant and defensive, setting down her book and studying the girl who was dressed for the occasion, "Why aren't you at the gala? You're dressed in the right attire."

Gareth Roden-Smith
The young Hufflepuff, was just chewing his way through a pumpkin pastie when someone addressed him looking quite cheerful. It was the Hufflepuff prefect of his year, whom he had only spoken to briefly on a couple of occasions.

"All the good stuff goes first," the boy, Talfryn said with half a pastry in his mouth. Gareth had to chuckle at this as he conceded, "It's true. Thought I'd get in there before the gannets arrive!" His gaze swept around the Great Hall once again, before turning back to Talfryn. "Nice decorating you lot did. You're giving old Flitwick a run for his money!"

At that moment a bout of laughter erupted near them from a gaggle of students. Gareth turned to see the source of the commotion and found another fellow Hufflepuff getting to her feet, having supposedly tripped over. She was blushing furiously and Gareth offered her a kind smile. "Hey you lot, nothing to see here," he told the laughing students, gently but firmly shooing them away.

Before Gareth could process what just happened or even greet the Hufflepuff girl, Louisa, a familiar Gryffindor swept in like a whirlwind, pushing her friend over to him before disappearing before he could even blink. "Uh...." he said, blankly.

"Hello, dear. Of course, it wasn't really necessary for her to tell me your name. It'd be impossible not to know the name of a well-deserved Quidditch captain. But it's true, as she said, the name's Daghda, and I assure you, it's a right pleasure to meet me." Gareth's puzzlement quickly turned into a smile as Daghda introduced herself. He blushed a bit at the mention of his new title as quidditch captain.
"I assure you it's a pleasure to meet me too," he jested, though false cockiness even in an earnest way, was not his forte. "The quidditch captain news got around quickly I see."

Midas Doherty
Midas was greatly amused when a babbling redhead stumbled into the vicinity, even more so when she described the prefect's heels as being like daggers. Clearly she had never heard of stiletto heels, which were based entirely on the stiletto dagger. A slight smirk of satisfaction settled upon his face when the redhead noticed him, turning pink with embarrassment and stammering on her words. He offered her a devastatingly charming smile as she excused herself. His charm never seemed to fail him.

"Her heart is in the right place. She's just...tense,' Vasilisa said of the girl. Midas did not much care but he nodded his understanding as Vasilisa introduced herself. "Ah, a beautiful name," he complimented, "and I've no doubt someone will try spiking the punch. It is the oldest trick in the book, figuratively speaking." He looked out into the corridor for a moment before adding, "If you will excuse me, I feel it might be time to scout the hall for any suspicious behaviour. A pleasure to talk to you Miss Ivashkov." He smiled, putting his hand out to shake.

Jolie Hayle
Jolie did not smile at the blonde girl's banter, though in her head she found the dry humour amusing. She never liked to let anyone get a grasp of what she was thinking or feeling. The sense of mystery and danger kept people at arms length, a safe distance. Jolie had no friends and did not intend to start making them in her penultimate year of schooling
"Not your cat?" she asked, intrigued, "seems to like you though."

Jolie bent down and picked up the cat, cradling it in her arms. The cat purred and pawed at her face. Feline's seemed to sense that she was a nocturnal creature of the night just as they were. She felt completely comfortable around them. "Perhaps its owner is looking for it. You know, you look like a cat person," she decided as she stroked the cat, her expression still neutral. "Jolie by the way. But I bet you already know that," she introduced, her tone of voice decidedly bitter. At present Jolie was not a fan of this gala thing.

"Endless? Well, I'm flattered, but they are hardly endless. I have my flaws, I assure you." Omar followed his statement with a laugh as he followed her into the Great Hall, stopping to nod politely in the direction of Midas, a fellow Gryffindor.

"They did, indeed outdo themselves, but I can think of a few more things that are considerably more awesome. I know this girl, you see. And she agreed to be my date to this party. No big deal. Just what I've wanted for a while now." He gave her a small wink paired with a charming grin. "What's say we get some punch, huh? Before somebody swoops in and spikes it?"

Kiyoko Tachibana
Kiyoko had never been much for parties. Her older sisters were, but to be fair they had never been shunned away by their parents. It wasn't easy being kid that the family just wanted to hide away. A lesbian and a wizard! She was an absolute freak in their eyes, and they wanted nothing to do with it. Surprisingly though, they were more okay with her being hella gay™ than they were with her being magical or whatever. Still, they were okay with sending her away to Hogwarts. Probably to get rid of her, but she wasn't about to complain.

Needless to say, Kiyoko had ventured out enough to dress up. Some high fashion Japanese inspired shit that she thought looked ugly but it wasn't so bad. She was mostly just ignoring it and her surroundings anyway, so it was all good. Instead, she was completely enveloped in her 3DS. Playing Smash Bros. Her go to being Zelda because, to be frank, she was so kick ass. It was weird to see a wizard with a piece of Muggle technology, but honestly, Kiyoko gave no fucks. She would enjoy her Muggle technology all she wanted to, and no one was going to stop her.

Alexei Karkaroff (Elliot)
The great thing about having a no-robes party for the fifth and sixth years is that it made it a lot easier for Ellie to ease his way into the Gryffindor common room without his Huffllepuff robes drawing attention to his being there. Once the school year had began, Ellie made sure that one of the first things he did was get the Gryffindor common room password from his best friend Nikolai so that they could hang out.

Being apart of a pureblood family, although originally from Bulgaria, Elliot was used to dressing up for events, so he didn't have any complaints. Plus, he quite liked the suit he had chosen for the occasion.

He headed his way through the boys dormitories and opened the door to Nikolai's room with a grin on his face. "Pozdravi, priyateli!" Elliot greeted closing the door behind him as he entered. "Hey, Koni," Ellie sighed happily plopping down on the bed next to his friend. "Niks ready to go yet? I hear the food is going to be pretty good so I wanna get down there pretty soon."

Jessamine Rose

Jessamine scrunched her nose in an irritated manner at the tone taken against her. Though, she could hardly fault the other girl, for she, herself, found the festivities to be trivial. It seemed she had found a like mind in that regard.

"I'm a prefect and as such I perform my responsibilities," she said rather flatly. Her finger fidgeted with a gold bangle dangling from her wrist. "Nevertheless, I've already completed my duties and desire to do no more than I am required. So, I've resigned myself to a place that seems far more appealing as I get no satisfaction from superficial conversations had at social gatherings."

Truly, she had yet to understand why anyone would enjoy such a frivolous occasion. Her curious mind tempted her to find out, but the uncertainty that dwelled within her stomach was ever daunting. For now, she let her eyes wander towards the shelves books, seemingly endless. Despite all of the books she had read, she had yet to make a real dent in the library.

"I presume you like books more than people," she observed. "Me too."

Omar's words colored Emerson's cheeks a pale, rosy hue. "You really are a sweet talker," she remarked, her voice only faltering slightly with nervousness. "But yeah, let's get some punch."

A smile crept on her face as she regained her composure and she proceeded towards the punch bowl. She willed the blush on her cheeks to subside before she fully faced him again. "Who do you think the culprits will be this time? A Slytherin, perhaps? Maybe a Gryffindor?"

A part of her hoped it would be Gryffindor, if only to steal the thunder of their rival house. If she were feeling particularly ballsy, even she might have considered partaking in some mischievous activities.

Ronan Calhoun
Staring blankly before him, the young man's nostril flared as he stood, flabbergasted at the image. His nose scrunched in disgust as his eyes twitched. The only person who was able to get the young "Master" into such a bloody unfashionable, atrocious attire would have been his mother, but the culprit this time was none other then Seraphine Favager and Kyle Eun. His face paled in comparison to his light brown, curly hair as he grumbled under his breathe not before hearing Eun and his bloody threat walk outside the dorm room.

With an eye roll, Ronan wanted to rip the outfit to shreds as he wouldn't stand for any mockery or tom-foolery for being in a suit and not his traditional robes. They were all the talk but no, they couldn't even give him the ounce of respect for his choice of attire and placed him into this damned muggle costume. Begrudgingly moving away from the mirror, he turned to see that it was just him and Ryker left. Furrowing his brows, he stared pointedly at him, "Don't you dare say anything, Ryker unless you want something spiked in those potions." He gritted through his teeth, his hands still balled into a tight fist as he got his "jacket", walking out the door. Groaning, he massaged his temples before taking out his handkerchief, making sure to wipe his hands six times before letting the idea go.

Walking down the common room, Ronan still huffed as he got to the bottom as he stared into the fire. Yeah, he was waiting on the Lestrange, but it wasn't like it meant anything, so he says. Looking over towards the stairs he called out to him, "Lestrange! I thought you wanted to go to this shindig, you coming or what? If you don't come down in less than a minute I am changing and succumbing to those brewing potions we are making for the year."

Nikolai Dragomir
Run, little wolf, or you'll be captured and made into someone's little toy! A mocking voice cackled in laughter as the wolf panted and ran quickly through the Forbidden Forest in hopes of escape. Where'd the frightening little wolfie go? Don't tell me you're afraid of a little fetch!

With furrowed brows and sweat dripping down his face, Nikolai was brought of his own nightmare at the sound of someone's voice pulling him away along with a small tilt in his bed. His eyes opened slightly while he lifted his head before turning to look at the person. Ulvi. "Tanta?" He called out, groggily before rubbing his eyes, looking around as he knew he was back in his room and not the forest. Inhaling sharply, his head dropped back down onto his pillow as his heart beat slowed down steadily. "Ready? What for?" He asked his best friend before realizing there were more people in his room. His best friends that were from other houses, Axelle - another friend that also barged in but moreso Jesse's friend, and his house mates. Turning to look at his housemate, Andy, Nikolai blinked profusely.

With a sudden jolt, his teddy bear ended up being knocked to the ground as it fell off the bed. His eyes scanned first between Jesse and Axelle. "You. . ." He started muttering before he swallowed back his nervousness, shaking his head to fully situate and wake himself up. Soon he found himself looking towards the girls. He didn't really understand what Axelle and Tanta where talking about so during that moment, he looked briefly between Axelle and Tanta's clothing as he furrowed his eyes in confusion once more before looking at all of them, questioning, "You guys are looking quite well-dressed to work out. Can you even lift weights like that.... wait, are we going to the gym?" He questioned before Jesse catching the end of his question that was directed towards Axelle.

But, before anything else was said or done, someone else barged into the room and it was none other than Ellie. Sleepily looking at his best man, Nikolai yawned slightly once more, "What are you going on about this time, Ellie?" However, at the mention of food, his ears perked and his eyes widened as he quickly moved the comforters and sheets away from him. "Food? Where? Let's get going; I am starving!" He said, quite enthused as he got dressed in whatever he found in his closet. Soon, he headed towards the door, before looking behind at his friends, really underdressed for whatever was happening. "The food is going to get cold, we have to get there before someone steals it." He warned them, wanting his best friends to follow him along with Jesse and Axelle. Whatever worry that was on his mind was erased and his current motivation to move was food. He was very food motivated, that's for sure.

Theresa al-Basrah
With a slight head tilt, Theresa listened intently to Niklaus' response and couldn't help but smile softly ever so often. But, when Nikolaus stopped himself from saying whatever it was about Seraphine, Theresa brushed it off as well, not worried about whatever insult or maybe compliment he may have had for Seraphine. However, when Nikolaus seemed to have almost fallen, Theresa reacted quickly, leaning over towards him out of reflex. But, seeing that he had been able to balance himself, she leaned back, sighing a breathe of relief before laughing softly. Shaking her head, Theresa covered her lips, stopping her giggles from escaping, "Oh goodness, don't tell me you've tried Ezra's punch and gotten a little bit woozy, have you?" She teased him even more before nodding fervently.

"I do think it's best to make the most of the night, so what do you say about me accompanying you, that is, until you get bored of me or 'phone' a friend?" Theresa questioned, slightly nervous though her tone was still upbeat and lighthearted. She hoped he didn't take to heart what she's been saying as she wanted to keep things as pleasant as possible. Theresa would hate to be another thorn in his or someone's side, again. Plus, it was a first time she had spoken to anyone else not out of obligation but out of wanting to keep someone company. Extending her arm out, Theresa smiled, as she gave Niklaus a choice to take her hand. If he chose to take her hand then he would agree to accompany her, but if he had chosen not to, then there was no harm done in asking, right? Whatever Niklaus choice was, she would always respect his, or rather anyone's, wishes.

Ryker Lestrange

Ryker was sitting on the fluffy emerald green armchair in their room, his legs were dangling on the armrest while his hands were busy flipping the pages of some beaten and yellowish book that he nicked in their shop. The usual partly condescending - partly amused smirk was drawn on his face while listening to Ronan rant.

He was already wearing his party clothes, a plain white shirt, dark jeans paired with dark dragon hide boots and he was just waiting on a friend to finish moping and complaining about the clothes he has to wear for the night. A chuckle escape his lips as he lazily looked up at Ronan. He totally understand why the man was slightly pissed off, like any pureblooded wizard, any Muggle-like attire can be deemed as an embarrassment and an outrage. For that matter, the garb that Ryker personally chose for the party would probably sneered at by his father and frown upon by his mother if they happen to see him, but he didn’t care. Like Ronan, his parents shared the same disgust. They’re not exactly that keen on having their only son dress up as a common useless Muggle. Ryker's mom actually tried to prevent him from wearing such simple and horrible attire but alas small incineration spells here and there, his mother understood that she can’t convince him otherwise.

“Stop fussing about it. And I’m actually counting on you to spike the punch.” He said, tossing the beaten book back on his bed before pushing himself up to stand. Ryker then grab the grey coat from his bed and wore it with a smile as he stared in front of the mirror while Ronan proceeds to the common room. This night is definitely going to be interesting.

“Don’t be such a girl, Calhoun.” Ryker said as soon as he followed his friend in the common room. The guy was still obviously annoyed at what he was about to deal tonight. Favager was really a force to be reckon with when it comes to persuading someone. Ronan was the living example of it. Poor chap. “Don’t worry, boys will still line up and ask you to dance with them.” He added, pulling his sleeves up his arms before clapping Ronan’s back. A sly grin was on Ryker’s lips, “Come on, Princess. There’s a punch waiting to be spike. You didn’t exactly dress up for nothing, you know.”

"Me? A sweet talker? Hardly!" Omar couldn't help but laugh at that. In fact, flirting made him nervous if he thought of it as flirting. He would much rather think of it as honestly. Honesty was easy enough to get out of his mouth without stuttering. "Wouldn't it be interesting if it was a Ravenclaw? I feel like they hardly get enough credit- which would make them the perfect culprits! But I hope it isn't Slytherin. Too many of them are good at potions and I don't trust them not to spike it with something less fun than alcohol."

As they reached the punch bowl, he filled two cups and offered one to her. "My lady?"

Konstantina Ibsen
Koni was not surprised to find the lovely Axelle Beaumont occupying the room. She'd been sneaking into the room almost as long as Koni had. Honestly, the boys were used to it at this point. And in doing so, they had discovered a mutual like of eachother, and could even call themselves friends. After all, they had a lot in common. "Strip Quidditch? I'm down. You'll have to run over the rules with me at some point. But I have to commend you, Bubblegum. It's a pretty great idea." She grinned at Axelle before turning her attention to Jesse.

I only wish this was a pub, MacDowell. I'd be much more pleasant, I assure you." That being said, she pulled a flask from her suit pocket and took a swig. Unsurprising, she was practically a functioning alcoholic. She held out the flask to Axelle and Jesse. "Want a drink? It's charmed to refill endlessly."

At that moment, Elliot entered, another close friend to Koni. And she couldn't stop a giant grin from reaching across her face when she saw him. "Ellie, my man! Took you long enough!" She wrapped one arm around him, an affectionate way of greeting that was reserved to just him. Niki and Isla had their own affectionate greetings. "Want a drink?" She held the flask out to him, but honestly, she was very unsure if he would take her up on her offer.

The entire time, Koni had been rather amused by Niki's antics, but she figured it was time to be rather blunt with him. "You better dress a little fancier than that, Ulvi. Or else Ms. Favager is going to serve your head on a silver platter." She shook her head at Jesse and Niki. "How could you both forget about the gala? After all, there are bound to be so many cute girls all dressed up to flirt with. And so many scantily clad.... best idea Favager and Medina have ever had."

Niklaus Vogl
"Me? Oh no. No punch." Klaus' face was nearly deadpan as he gave his reply. And he studied her. And, almost as if lightning had struck him, his eyes popped open wide and a loud "oh!" came from his mouth. He quickly looked around, embarrassed by the wrid looks he was getting. What was wrong with him? Notmally he was more composed than this. "You were joking, weren't you?" He scratched the back of his neck, shamefaced that he had ben so late to understanding her joke. He didn't want to her to feel as if her humour was lacking. She was quite amusing actually...but still.

"I would be honored if you joined me, Miss alBasrah. But I must apologize, I happen to be very dull company to keep. Just know that I won't be offended should you decide to trail off to better conversation partners and leave me in the dust."

For the first time, Klaus really studied her appearance and made note of her features and her dress. She was breathtakingly beautiful, really. A Prima Donna Ballerina.

Regina Atwood
Regina nad Atty (that is, Atticus Riverdale who was now going by Ace beccause he's a dolt) had been friends since year one at Ilvermorny. In fact, when Atty found out that Regina would be transferring to Hogwarts, he worked it out with his parents to join her. For Regina, it was a matter of safety to get her away from her father, since he was a muggle who didn't really approve of magic and had threatended her life a little more than once. For Atty- Ace- his parents were purebloods who just thought it would be fun for him to experience other Wizarding culture.

They had both been Horned Serpents, but she was always convinced that he should have been a Puckwudgie. But apparently, he had no interest in healing anything. Only music. He was an odd one. But they had always gotten along. Now, even though they were in separate houses, they could still be found spending time together. Exchanging words in their Texas twang. Which is what they were currently doing in one of the far corners of the great hall.

"To be honest, Atty, I'm not quite feelin' at home here." Well, it had only been the first week of their first year here...so that was completely valid.

Atticus Riverdale
Ace had known Reggie (who he still insisted should go by Gina but she claimed the more tomboyish nickname suited her so he went with it) since their first year at Ilvermorny. They had bonded over the face that he shared a name with her cat. Atticus. He was convinced that was the only reason she still insisted on calling him Atty, even though he had expressly asked to be called Ace after their transfer to Hogwarts. He wanted to start out fresh...with a cool name. But his mother had a love of muggle literature that was bound to make people wary of him.

"Just relax and have fun, Reggie. It's better that we're here. And honestly, I think we're going to like it." In fact, he knew he was going to like it. There were so many pretty blondes here, he felt as if he would be able to just take his pick.

Celeste Steele
Celeste Steele's attention was solely on the male next to her as she was literally hanging onto every word that Taye -her bear as she likes to call him - had been saying for the past few - for who knows knows how long - minutes. She was enjoyed her time spent with her best friend and downright in a blissful state of mind. As Celeste smiled and nodded here and there, gleefully agreeing with Taye whenever he asked a question, she couldn't help but lean her head on his shoulder as he spoke of the story he was writing. One of Celeste's favorite past time was listening to Taye's voice and hearing his heart beat against his chest. To her, she felt as if his heart sounded like tennis balls being whacked against the wall and it was "oddly" soothing to her.

Although the two spent most of their time together whenever they weren't busy with their classes, Celeste would honestly miss her best friend. He was practically the Spongebob to her Patrick and she couldn't help but giggle at the memory. Just recently, the two of them had decided to catch up on muggle tv shows and they had found themselves enthralled in the series that by the end of each episode, Celeste had cracked up laughing to the point her cheeks had been hurting!

Nevertheless, Celeste's favorite appeal about Taye in the whole wide world was his ability to tell and write stories! Oh, she absolutely loved it when he wrote stories and told them! It was as if he was her very own storyteller and Celeste loved hearing about the dragon and the princess! Giggling softly, Celeste responded, "Oh, Taye," she said in a singy-songy tone, "I love any story that you write, even if it's a little cliche because I know you'll be able to add your own little touch and spin to it! And it always takes me for a rollercoaster ride!" She giggled softly before tapping her chin, leaning upright, her body facing towards him, "You know. . a knight whisking away the princess from the dragon sounds very intriguing! But, the princess perhaps doesn't mind kissing a few frogs to get to her Knight?" Celeste suggested, tilting her head to the side before exclaiming, "What if the dragon was the princess' foster parent? And. . and. . ." She started before hearing Taye's revelation of it being dark before he apologized to her.

Furrowing her brows, Celeste was slightly confused as to why he was apologizing. There was no need - oh. Looking between both her and Taye, it was only then she realized the attire they were in. She completely forgot about it as well! Quickly shaking her head as she didn't like seeing Taye so flustered, Celeste inhaled sharply before giving Taye a quick hug, wanting to calm him down. As she kept her arms around him, hugging him tightly, Celeste smiled, "Silly, bear. . .you never need to apologize to me! It's okay! I honestly forgot about the gala myself!" She reassured him before pulling away from the hug, winking at him teasingly. "We should get going though! We don't want the Nargles stealing all of the food before we do!" She laughed before standing up signaling Taye to go with her as she skipped ahead, but at a slow pace so that Taye would be able to catch up.

Theresa al-Basrah
A few moments of silence passed through the both of them and Theresa couldn't help but feel her resolve slowly slipping. Her fingers were getting clammy and her feet were slightly aching. She hoped she didn't ruin this opportunity to make a friend. Biting her lips, she would have to remind herself to ask her best friend if her jokes were really bad. However, before Theresa could overthink anymore Niklaus had let out a small laugh and assured himself that she was joking. With a smile Theresa nodded, laughing along with him, "I should probably brush up on my jokes, shouldn't I?" She asked, waving off the hopefully awkward atmosphere she made.

To make matters much more uplifting, Theresa felt as she found her opportunity to re-try a second hand at friendship again when Niklaus agreed to accompany her. With a slight jump to her step, Theresa was beyond gleeful that he had agreed. "Oh, no. No, I don't believe you are a dull company. If anything. . . may I inquire if you are always this polite?" Theresa smiled softly, before she took a few steps forward, taking lead to walk around the banquet hall. "You don't have to be polite with me, be yourself. Uh . . what do they do on tv most of the time. . ?" She question out-loud, moving her mouth around making silly faces as she does before a "light bulb" popped over her head. "Ah! Right! Express yourself!" Theresa exclaimed, laughing slightly before asking, "If you don't enjoy the gala, what do you enjoy then?"
