overview.
Windsor Academy is renowned for their world class school of arts, languages and cultures - headed by Professor Sir Montgomery Scott. Or... was headed. You see, Montgomery had no shortage of enemies, even amongst his own staff. People trying to snatch his position for themselves, people burned in the process of him getting ahead. There were names, a lot of them: stepping stools in his game of power and pawns on his chessboard. There were numerous people - those he blackmailed, bribed, angered, used. The list is endless. It should have been seen coming. Predictability would have foreseen the outcome. Yet, no one was prepared for a cold Sunday morning in Autumn. When the fog was high and the leaves were painted gold, orange, red and brown
TW: Murder
Inside St-Mary-le-Bow, the church of Windsor Academy, a body had been discovered. Father Arthur Phillip discovered Scott's body around 9:30am, in front of the altar. He was found on his knees, with his hands folded across his chest and his head placed on the front side of the altar. If it wasn't for the ice pick sticking out of the back of his head, one would have assumed the man was just silently praying. The handle had been broken off and was missing. There were also signs of strangulation, however police determined the perpetrator used gloves.
The police hit a dead end. With no leads at the crime scene and no cctv to catch anyone going in and out of the church, the police had one place left to check. The victims home. Whilst surveying the home, police stumbled upon a discovery. A sleek, black book. One filled and compiled with endless names. Some were expected, some were surprising but the police would be lying if they said they were caught off guard. But one set of names had police in a tight bind. The names of eight students...
Explanation
The plot revolves around eight central students whose names were found in Professor Sir Montgomery Scott's black book. The black book, as police later learn, is a book containing every person Professor Sir Montgomery Scott ever crossed. People he blackmailed, people he knew were his enemies, even his friends. The role-play starts soon after the revelation and discovery of the black book. The names in the black book have been leaked to the public via an unknown source. The role-play will revolve around the eight students in the black book, navigating their lives after the leak, coming together as they realise they only have each other and trying to outwit a third party who seems adamant on framing the students for a crime they didn't commit. The main crux of the storyline and the overriding plot will be the students journey to track down the real murderer and also discover the identity of the person trying to frame them.

rules

rule one.
In total there are seven positions available for the students who were mentioned in the black book. However, should more people want to apply, positions may open for students who are not mentioned in the black book. The positions are not first come first served and will be accepted after reviewing character sheets. Characters are accepted based on their relevance to the plot line and what they bring to the group. There is no gender ratio that needs to be followed, however all characters must be eighteen and over as this role-play does follow mature themes.
rule two.
Discord is a requirement for this role-play for things like OOC, plotting, relationship building, etc. It's also just a great way to be able to connect to everyone else. A certain amount of activity isn't a requirement for discord, but it is nice for people to get involved in world building and to give updates!
rule three.
Realistic face claims only. Unfortunately, as this is a more realistic role-play I'm not going to accepting any anime/drawings/digital art, etc. If you're struggling to find a face claim, I will be more than happy to give my assistance in helping you find one. In tune with this, I would also like diversity amongst the characters too if possible.
rule four.
I would like everyone to post at least once a week to keep the role-play alive, however I do understand that people do have things to do and life does get busy. If you are going to be busy or unforeseen circumstances do happen, please drop me a message as I would love to accommodate everyone and their needs. In order to keep the role-play going if one person is busy, we may occasionally break into 'side-stories', I'll give more details on this if the event were to happen. And lastly, for a word limit I would like at least 500 words for one post. I understand that not everyone is 100% fluent in English or someone may feel like they can't write enough - if this happens feel free to drop by and message me!
rule five.
Please follow all RPN rules. Respect everyone - tension that may build in character doesn't need to translate out of character. Be respectful of more sensitive topics and matters. Please fade to black in instances of erotic content and intense mature scenes. If you're struggling to get along with another person or if you're struggling in general please talk to me and tell me. Again, if you need to take a break then let me know and it can be written into the role-play as a side story.
