Good Afternoon everyone!

First off I am well aware what I am looking for is not everyone’s cup of tea and looks like I’m looking for a needle in a haystack. More importantly I am patient and flexible, willing to hear other ideas if mine does not suit yours. In a perfect world we would be able to collaborate together, and I would enjoy that immensely. So hear we go…..

What you can expect with me.
-I’m an avid reader and writer. I can write some lengthy replies when inspired. That being said I don’t expected every response to be a novel. I want the role play to flow well and understand that a lot can be said with few words.
-As for characters I can play both female and male, the latter not being my strongest. This does not mean I won’t play male. In fact I welcome the opportunity to do so. I just need a partner that is going to be patient with me.
-I do want to keep this role play on site. I would like to do it through a thread. When it comes to developing our characters and just regular chatting we can do that in PMs. I promise I’m friendly and love a good talk. We don’t have to role play all the time.
-What you should also know about me is I work a full time job and I have a family. This takes up a good chunk of time so my responses might not be consistent in frequency but I do make an effort not to keep my partners waiting. Also writers block does happen…. It happens to everyone. I will be honest and let you know if I’m struggling. I feel like in those instances two heads are better than one. You can do the same with me if your stuck. The key to the role play is communication.
-This goes with what was just said. I feel like the more we communicate and develop our story and characters as we go along the less likely we are to get bored. So if there is music, art, or movies/movie characters that inspire you for your character or scenes please share. I love doing this. I feel like it helps my partners to better understand my characters. That being said this is all to be done with in the rules and guidelines of this site. Let’s keep it clean.

I have several story/plots in mind, all of them being modern, slice of life stuff. I do believe they have their own unique twists that make them more enticing than others. I like my characters flawed and my stories filled with twists and turns, some dark and some humor mixed in. Romance is inevitably a part in my plots but is not always the center. I like the dynamic it can bring with our characters. Below is a plot idea that we can expand on, just message me. (More ideas to come. This one took me a minute to put into words. I am open to any that others might have)

Lost - War is a dark and haunting thing. It can stain the soul and leave the afflicted in a state of helplessness; something not many are accustom to. When you join the military, when you dedicate your life to the service of your country you know the dangers that come with it. You are broken down then built back up to be a stronger individual both mentally and physically. Honor, loyalty, and valor run through you and bring a self assurance that makes you proud of being a soldier. But when the war weary soldier returns home, physically exhausted and mentally pushed to the brink then what? He is physically absent from the war but in his head he is reliving it piece by piece, day and night, trying to make sense of it all. He tries to fight back the darkness on his own. He tries to find healthy ways to cope but as time moves on and those around you can no longer see the physical wounds of war, it becomes easier for you to slip into the shadows. Easy for the world to forget how lost you are.

This could be said of our soldier. Having spent a life in the military and having been back home and discharged. He has no where to go, no family besides his military brothers and sisters. He struggled on his own for a year, finding comfort at the bottom of a bottle, but never finding true freedom from the images and memories that haunted him. Not until one of his fellow soldiers finds him and tries to save him from the darkness. He brings him back with him to his families ranch in hopes that it will sober him up and get him back on his feet. It’s back breaking work but it’s work nonetheless. Our soldier, however, is not the only one lost on the ranch. His friend and fellow soldiers cousin has had her own personal struggle with a haunting past. It might not be war that has left its scars on her but it’s tragedy. To our soldier she is a mystery. One of the few women on the ranch it’s hard not to notice. Even harder still is the fact that she is not like the others. One look at her and one could see she is a wild child, that lives on the edge. She’s dangerous and he can’t help ignore the warning signs. One lost soul recognizing another. This ranch is a place that the lost can be found.

I did have a fellow role player suggest that this could also have a historical element, having it take place post WWII. I loved this idea.

Vikings-I am also flirting with the plot idea that is based off the TV series Vikings. My very basic idea is that after a successful Viking raid they take captive a young woman and her brother. The reason they take her is because she can speak their language and she begged them for the life of her brother. So instead of killing them with the rest of their family they bring them back with them to be slaves/servants. The warrior that takes her believes that she can be useful for understanding her homeland and people in future raids. She would serve as a translator, if she cooperates and he doesn’t kill her first. This is a very basic idea and I’m open to brainstorming this one as well.

New Plot
This new plot is more modern fantasy. I’ve had this plot for so long just haven’t used it in a long while. It’s a heaven vs. hell apocalyptic scenario. For centuries there has been this clash, this battle for power and souls. Heaven and it’s multitude of characters have fought back to keep the spiritual veil intact, protecting the beings from the darkness of this never ending war. Occasionally some creatures or elements from the darkness sneak past the veil but heaven has some strong allies on earth to help handle the pest problem. They are the thin line protecting the public from the evil that lurks in the shadows. They are not angels but they are not human either. They are guardians hidden amongst the people. Their powers are unique to each individual and only used to keeps things in check. They are few to protect many. Each band designated to guard their city. That being said the recent years have been troublesome and they have been kept busy. There is no rest and hardly any clues as to why the sudden shift, the sudden push towards distraction. They have no clear answer until one night when they come across a seemingly ordinary being, a woman that has attracted the attention of a very well known demon. Little do they know she is the key, the chess piece that could end this game in hells favor. Hell needs her and will do anything to get their hands on her. Heaven wants her dead. The threat permanently erased from the face of the earth. These guardians are stuck in the middle sworn to protect the innocent, including this woman.

Again I am open to other ideas outside of the plot I have posted. I welcome any suggestions.

I’ve updated the original post. Hopefully that helps you all better understand who I am as a writer.

I’m also exploring the idea of doing a WWII plot, all of this has been inspired by some classic movies and movie stars and some tv series, like band of brothers and the pacific.

I might just take this plot and use it to write in another thread. I’d love to role play it but I don’t think it’s in the cards for me.

This sounds really fun! I actually have some background with the military and I love anything western, PM me if you're interested!
