For as long as he could remember the witch tower has been forbidden. Only fully armed soldiers enter to feed the creature trapped inside. Legend has it that the Witch inside is the only connection to the underworld and her release would be the end of humanity. Furthermore, she cannot leave the tower unless she is invited to leave. However, curiosity pushes him to find out what is truth and what is myth. I'm looking for someone to play the young man and heir to a wealthy family and protecting the tower.

Age: 18

(So basically my profile pic)

Personality: He's a very kind, considerate, and observant person. Some believe that he's too curious for his own good.

Bio: Jack's inquisitive nature persuaded him to leave the manor at an early age to travel and explore the world. He has only recently returned due to his father's ill condition to take his place as the sole heir of the Riddle Manor. And as the new Lord, the responsibility of The Tower falls to him. It was a well known legend that a witch has remained confined in its stone walls for more than hundred years. The Riddle Family was a direct descendant of the powerful wizard that had managed to lock the creature away, so they were held accountable for it's continued imprisonment. Jack, however, remained ever curious. He could still remember a very vivid memory of his father forbidding him from ever nearing the tower and how furious he had been when he discovered that Jack had been visiting the spire, even if it had just been to stare at it in fascination. But even with all the wonders he had witnessed first hand, the Witch's Tower had always held an air of mystery that sparked his ever growing curiosity of what truly hid in its depths.
The celebration boomed. The coming of age ceremony was loud enough it drummed all the way over to the witch tower. She could hear it all bouncing around the brick walls of the tower. From the upper room she was able to peep out a window. Her big dark eyes peered over the manor. She wondered what it was like out there. She wanted to see. She wanted to know. She wanted to stop being so alone.

The crowds were filled with the unfamiliar faces of the rich and distinguished. Jack had spent a good portion of the evening being paraded around the Manor as the guests clambered for his attention. All sorts of women crowded around him hoping for a chance to capture the Riddle heir's attention whether it was for his money, title, or exceptionally attractive looks (or so he likes to think). The Coming of Age celebration had been suggested by one his fathers close colleagues, a baron of Spain, to form important relationships with the world's most well known leaders and influential business partners. So far it had been quite a success as all sorts of powerful figures from around the world had come to partake of the special event. Jack, for the most part, had been able to keep a steady facade of confidence throughout the whole proceedings until he was thoroughly worn out. He had promptly excused himself and sneaked out into the chilly darkness of the night. He began to take a stroll through a rather beaten forest path in attempt to cool his overtaxed mind. But with a start, he found himself standing in a clearing of sorts and right in the middle was the infamous Witch's Tower. Jack let out a shaky laugh as he gazed up at the structure. He must have unconsciously lead himself to the open glade, his childhood memories reminding him of the serenity he had felt whenever he had gone to 'visit' it. He glanced up at the very top window and nearly had heart attack as a pair of eyes seemed to shine in moonlight before abruptly disappearing. Every fiber of his body told him that he was just a bit tired and should turn right back around to the Manor to get some well needed rest. But like a moth to an open flame he made his way towards the tower. He only hoped he wouldn't end up burned to a crisp.

Neko leaped away from the window. Was that a boy she saw? It'd been so long since she saw someone who looked like her age. Was he the one bringing her meals that night? Fear filled her. The last guy they had bring her food was cruel. He had done awful things to her. She didn't mean to hurt him though. She had cursed him with sores all over his body. He had to have a skilled wizard remove the curse. Whenever someone hurt her they often felt the pain she did in one way or another. She ran down stairs and hid behind the only chair in the room. Her hair stuck out like a sore thumb behind the white chair. She closed her eyes and tried humming to calm herself. That was the last thing she remembered before being shut away. There was a big strong man humming to calm her. She wished she could see him again. She waited, knowing any moment another man who'd hurt her was about to come through the door.

Jack looked up and down at the weather beaten door. It looked so old and worn that he could hardly believe that it would be able to keep a witch from breaking it down. The thing didn't even appear to have a lock! So with a bit of self motivation, Jack hesitantly grabbed at the rusted knob and gave it a push. To his surprise the door stayed firmly in place. So with more pressure, he shoved at the door until he was applying his full body weight. It still refused to budge. Jack leaned on his knees, breathing heavy from all his failed attempts. He glared at the opposing slab of wood before taking several steps backwards. He was determined to get into that tower and he was not going to let a stupid entrance way stop him. So with renewed vigor, he ran full sprint into the door and came stumbling into the dimly lit room. And just to his luck, he tripped over a small pile of rubble and fell unceremoniously to the ground. "Success...," He groaned, raising a congratulatory fist in the air before it fell limp beside him. His body hurt all over and he might have possibly dislocated his arm by slamming into a door but at least he made it.

Neko squealed in surprise when the boy came flying into the tower. She coward behind the chair, but kept her eyes glued to him. He was at least handsome. If he was going to be like the others at least he was attractive. She watched him raise his arm and announce success. Then he just laid there limply. Was he dead? She slowly crept over to him and gently poked his side. She noticed, with a grumbling growling stomach that he had no food with him. She pouted. If he wasn't there to feed her what was he there for?

"W-why are you here...?" she asked meekly. "Why don't you have any food? Are you alive mister?"

She poked him again, a little harder. He was warm so he had to be alive. She poked at his face next. It was very nice to look at. She couldn't help but marvel at him. What was his purpose there. Furthermore, what was her purpose? It was all very confusing.

Jack slowly opened his eyes and grabbed at whatever seemed to be poking his face. When the room finally stopped spinning he glanced at the soft object in his hand a realized with a start that it was an arm. He followed its length and blinked as he came face to face with a girl. Realizing their inappropriately close proximity he immediately let go of her arm and shuffled quickly back to a safe distance.

"I-I apologize I hadn't realized...." His voice trailing off when he finally got a good look at her. She seemed to be about his age with pale, creamy skin that contrasted with her ebony black hair. But what fascinated him the most was her eyes. Two pools of shining sapphire that gleamed and sparkled with hidden secrets. Realizing he had been starring, Jack turned away and hoped she hadn't noticed his flushed cheeks.

She tried hard not to scream when the boy jolted up. The moment his eyes fled her she raced to the chair she had cowered behind before and hid. Her eyes filled with tears. Their gorgeous blue depths ached with fear. She clung to the edge of her light blue dress, sitting on her knees.

"Please...D-Don't hurt me." she said in a quivering voice. "I-I'm sorry for angering you. I-I really am."

She was talking about poking him. The way he had grabbed her arm she was certain he was mad at her. She trembled. Why was he there? He didn't bring dinner. He didn't come with the stuffy older man that owned the tower. He was alone. Wait. He apologized. What did he apologize for? She was even more confused than she'd ever been. Why was he so different. Was he possibly there to bring an end to her miserable existence.

Jack watched in shocked silence as the girl hid behind a chair and begged him to not hurt her. He slowly righted himself into a a kneeling position and came towards her before stopping just a couple of feet away.

"I'm not here to hurt you nor am I mad," He whispered softly, raising his hands to show that he meant no harm. "Besides, I've got the physical strength of a tea spoon so I'm sure you'd be able to the win the fight" He joked in an attempt to lighten the mood.

"Y-you aren't mad?" she asked, blinking. "A-and you won't hurt me?" she slowly crept forward. "B-but you have no food. Why are you here? Who are you?"

She stopped about 4 inches away from him, on her knees. She lightly poked his hands as she spoke. He seemed to be telling the truth. But if he wasn't there to feed her or hurt her, what on earth was he there for. It'd been a hundred years since someone had visited her just because they wanted to. A frail little smile crept across her face. she stopped poking his hands and instead she pressed her palms to his, lining up their fingers. Her hands were very small and very frail, or that's how they felt. It would be hard for someone to believe she was a deadly witch.

He held his breath as she closed the distance between them and seemed to ask him a barrage of questions. He tried to focus on his train of thought as she poked at his outstretched hands before settling her palm against his. A small smile seemed to grace her lips and it was then that he finally managed to get his jumbled thoughts in order.

"My names Jack" He responded, taking her hand in his and placing a gentle kiss on its smooth surface "Jack Riddle".

He really didn't have a good reason as to why he had decided to barge into her home except to satisfy his curiosity and that was hardly a good enough excuse. Oh don't be silly this can't be her home He assured himself Because this is the...this is the...

The realization dawned on him and dropped her hand in surprise. This delicate girl couldn't be the heinous witch that had been depicted in the legends...could she?

As he spoke she tilted her head slightly to the left as if hitting a record button. "Jack Riddle?" she repeated with the same sweet voice. Her cheeks flushed a bit when he kissed her hand. Such a soft touch was greatly welcomed. She liked it. "I am Neko Noir. It's very nice to meet you."

As she spoke her smile grew, but it quickly fell away to despair when he released her hands. Did he dislike her name? Neko may have been the witch in the tower but the persona that was her human form was more sweet and gentle than anything else. The image of her now was painfully ironic when compared to the demon she held dormant inside. She was incredibly powerful, powerful enough to open the gates of hell, she just didn't know it. At least, Neko didn't know it. Noir, the demon inside her, knew far too well that she could destroy earth. Furthermore, Noir knew how to posess Neko's body and make her do unspeakable evil. Fortunately, however, Neko was trapped in the tower, and so was the demon. Her only way out was to be invited out.

"Did I say something offensive? If I did I am very sorry."

Jack's nerves turned into a tight ball of conflicting emotions as the girl introduced herself as Neko Noir, confirming his earlier suspicions. It had been years since then but he could still hear his father warning him to stay away from the tower for a dangerous, evil creature lay trapped within. A small part of his past self let a flutter of fear bubble in his mind. But he quickly brushed the feeling a side and took a deep breath to calm his irrational thoughts. Even if she was the witch, she had not struck him as some sort of evil nor dangerous creature. He slowly let a genuine smile settle on his lips as he shook his head in response.

"No, no not at all in fact..." He reached into his side coat pocket and pulled out a piece of peppermint candy "Since you've mentioned food earlier, here is my apology for not having brought some"

Neko graciously took the candy and popped it into her mouth, rapper and all. She'd never had candy before. When she was free candy didn't even exist. Smacked the plastic wrapped treat against her teeth. She then gave Jack a look of confusion. How was this thing supposed to taste? To be perfectly honest, the confused expression she wore was adorable.

"Though I do appreciate the gesture, Jack, how is this supposed to taste? It's very interesting..." she said through the plastic.

Jack looked at her with a dumbfounded expression before bursting into a fit of laughter. It only lasted for a minute though as he quickly regained his self control and let his laughs subside into amused chuckles. He supposed being trapped in a tower for a hundred years didn't really give one much time to discover the new inventions that had been created in the last century. Jack's smile turned sad at the thought.

"You have to take the wrapper off first" He explained and gestured with his hands how to remove the piece of plastic.

Neko then took the candy from her mouth and twisted off the wrapper. She looked a little embarrassed that she had not known that. She quickly inserted it into her mouth. Her blue eyes widened. It was delicious. It tasted like mint but sweeter. She made a happy face followed by happy little slurping sounds.

"It's sooooo good!" she exclaimed. "This is even tastier than the party dinners." she said with a sweet little swoon. "Thank you, Jack. I really like it."

She then stood and ran up the stairs. She returned shortly after with an old silver pocket watch. She placed it in Jack's hands. It was on a chain like a necklace.

"Y-you can have it." she said softly. "It plays a song at both noon and midnight...if it's wound up." she said. "A friend gave me it a long time ago."

Jack gratefully accepted the gift and gingerly held the timepiece in his open palm. He could tell it had been kept in good condition despite its age and turned to thank Neko with a bright smile. Jack pressed the little button protruding from its top side and watched as the cover came swinging open to reveal a little clock inside.

"It tells time perfectly!" He commended when he realized with a shock that an hour had passed since he had excused himself from the party. With a bit of haste he shuffled to his feet and frowned slightly at the prospect of having to leave so soon. If Jack was going to be perfectly honest he enjoyed Neko's company more than the other women that flocked around him like sheep. She talked to him just for the sake of talking not because she wanted something from him.

"I've got to go..." Jack breathed, pocketing the watch in his coat.

"I understand." she said standing up and gingerly taking his hand. "I appreciate you visiting me. Please don't let much time pass before you come to see me again." she said politely.

She went to the door and with a wave of her hand the broken down mass went back into place. She then delicately opened the door for him and smiled sweetly. She liked him. His company was pleasant. Neko hoped with all of her heart that he would return to her the next day. He was kind, and that was something she was not at all used to. She had long since come to expect cruellty but his tenderness was refreshing.

"When you come again qould you bring some more of the plastic wrapped treat?"

Jack watched in amazed silence as the shattered door seemed to repair itself with a single gesture of her hand. It also led him to question once again why she stayed in this ruined tower. A memory from his childhood grazed the surface of his thoughts but the harder he would try to remember the more shifted and unclear it would become. He was interrupted from his little reverie as he noticed Neko opening the door for him, an endearing smile gracing her lips. She asked if he could bring more of the wrapped sweets and Jack didn't hesitate in giving a nod.

"Its a promise" He responded holding his hand out with his pinkie raised. It was a childish action but if there was anything he was good at keeping it was a pinkie promise.

Neko looked at his pinkie in confusion before wrapping her own around it. She could not help but think the gesture very queer and intimate. She looked into his eyes and smiled really big. For the first time in along while she felt genuinely happy. over a hundred years in the tower and only one other person came to visit her with kindness and not with malice. That person was the same wizard that locked her away. Perhaps he felt guilt and sadness for Neko. Either way, he was kind and strong.

"Thank you."

Jack reluctantly left the tower and gave the upper most window a wave before making his way back to the Manor. When he had made it back Jack was greeted with concerned and anxious faces as they questioned his health and whereabouts. He subdued the unsettled crowd with a calm smile and explained that he had just gotten slightly lost in the woods during his little stroll.

"It seems that it had changed quite a bit since I was child" He joked, earning the desired laughter from the others.

He was once again dragged back and forth in between his guests and had become the epitome of exhaustion by the time the last visitor had left. The ever faithful head butler of the Riddle estate helped the young master to his chambers where the man collapsed onto his four poster bed, fast asleep. The old butler shook his head and proceeded to remove Jack's dirtied coat. It was in that moment that he caught something fall from its pocket and onto the wooden floor. He reached for the object and with wide eyes looked at the silver pocket watch in shock. He recognized the clock for he had seen it everyday since he had begun his work at the manor over sixty years ago. He recognized it from the ancient painting that hung proudly over the library fireplace. It had rested in the hands of the great wizard that had lived and died hundreds of years ago.

Brilliant! absolutely brilliant!!))

Noir paced the depths of hell. Flames lapped at the scorched corners of her red dress. Her every appearance was like that of Neko's except that her hair was white and her eyes were red. She was sinister in air and countenance. Her face could appear sweet and maybe innocent but it was a devious facade. She was wicked. She was the child of the devil himself. Her existence was a curse on the earth. She paced further, running her hands through hell's fire. She looked across the red hot stones to a diamond clock. It was not moving. She growled angrily. In the Witch's Tower she could not posses the body she desired.

If she were less knowledgeable she would guess that the humans killed her body, but she knew that would kill her as well. However, her death would not harm sweet little Neko at all. It was a strange curse, something the two of them were born with. The child of an angel and the child of the devil. They were tied simply by a day, an hour, and a curse. It was wicked, and it was Noir's only hope.

Jack awoke to a steady stream of sunlight as the curtains to his windows were opened one by one. He groaned rolling over twice before finally pushing himself up so he sat on the edge of his bed, legs hanging limply over the side.

"Good morning, young master"

Jack rubbed the morning grogginess from his eyes and mumbled out a quite good morning of his own. He didn't recognize the voice as one that belonged to any of the servants but oddly enough, he found it rather familiar. He glanced curiously at the figure that stood just a few feet in front of him and his jaw dropped in surprise. Standing in the middle of his room was Jack's childhood friend, Martzia. The last time he had seen her was when they were saying their good byes as he boarded the ship to Italy. They had only spent one summer together but it was one of the most treasured memories he had.

"Martzia?"

Tears filled her eyes as she came running towards him, arms outstretched before engulfing him in a tight embrace.

"You remember" She sighed in relief. Martzia pulled back but still kept her arms around him as she examined his face from chin to forehead. "I see puberty as done you some good"

Jack laughed and returned her hug. He was so caught up in the unexpected moment that he didn't notice the tall, dark figure standing outside of his bedroom door.

"I see you two have gotten acquainted"

They both searched for the source of the voice and immediately separated themselves when they realized who it was.

"Father!" Jack exclaimed, quickly running to his side "You shouldn't be out of bed!"

"Its my heart that's weak not my body, son" The old man chuckled. He placed a hand on Jack's shoulder, his face turning serious "We need to talk"

゚☆,。・:*:・゚★o(´▽`*)/♪Thanks♪\(*´▽`)o゚★,。・:*:・☆゚))

Neko awoke bright and early that morning. She hurried to the window and looked out, hoping to see the manor, and to see her friend approaching. She went to her battered old closet and put on her best dress. She looked like an angel in it. She even took the time to braid her long black hair. All the while she would run back and forth from the window expectantly. The morning was going by far too slowly. She wanted to see him! As she raced back and forth the door open and three soldiers came in with her food. They set it atop her chair before calling for her. She poked her head around the corner and stared in fear and bewilderment at the three gruesome men.

"Good morning, little pretty." said the short stubby one, coming towards her and reaching with his grubby sausage fingers. "Come here. Ya better pay us for sich a delightful meal mmm?"

"No! Don't touch me! Go away!" she turned to run up the stares but was nabbed.

The other two men held her down. The lace petticoat ripped. The satin top dress was tarnished. From the manor one could just make out the shrieks of pain and terror from the tree men. They all came running to the manor, one covered in painful boils, onother in ulcers, and the fat man was limping with his waist and further covered in his own blood. Furthermore his right eye had been obviously ripped from its place in his head. They were all calling for Master Riddle, Jack's father.

"Sire!?" called the tallest one. "There must be an end to this girl."

"Alone" He added, making eye contact with Martzia. She politely bowed her head and left the room. She glanced up at Jack and mouthed the word 'later' before closing the door behind her.

There was an unusually tense silence as Jack's father paced around his room, looking at the new nick knacks that his son had brought home from every corners of the world. He smiled and reached for a tiny seashell that had a soft, luminescent inner surface. He had given this to Jack when they had gone to visit the British Isles. It seemed like a lifetime ago.

"Father?" Jack inquired, snapping the old man from his musings.

He cleared his throat and was about to talk when the screams of three men could be heard right outside the manor. Jack and his father exchanged glances before hastily making their way down to the parlor and out the main entrance. The sight that greeted them was one that Jack would never forget. Boils, painful diseases of the skin, and one was even splattered in their own blood. Jack had to force himself not to gag as he noticed that one of the men had a gaping hole of teared flesh where his eye used to be.

"What happened?!" His father demanded, supporting the taller of the three.

"The witch" The guard growled "She did this"

Jack couldn't believe his ears. The sweet girl that he had meet last night did this? No, he refused to believe it. He wouldn't believe it until he heard Neko say it herself. He raced off towards the direction of the tower, ignoring his father's shouts of protest.
