who are the Djala

i saw these little dudes mentioned in the exalted 2ed. during the character creation area when i was at the bookstore. i noticed they were called panda people. and so i assume its those little weirdo dudes that you see every so often in exalted books. like the storytellers companion (i was like wtf. are those like little abyssals?)


anywho got any info on them?

One of the nights is one, they seem to be small and taken as slaves alot, and I think they are from the south.


The night is a char from the comic and is listed in the back of the Night Book, her name is Faka Kun, she is a thief and an acrobat in a circus.

They're the small little spotted folk you see now and again in the art. The Player's Guid suggests that they take the Small flaw...and considering their look, I'd suggest the flaws related to looking abnormal too...unless of course you were playing a Djala game. I believe they are from the Southeastern jungles, but beyond that, I really don't know. They seem to be nimble and so forth, and its been mentioned (and shown in the comic) that they are often taken as slaves. They have their own barbarian culture,,,but I've seen little info about it.

Nifty. Though sadly it doesn't give too much on their exact role in Creation, its still neat to know how they came into being.

thats soo convenient, i had been trying to develope a god in the tropical regions (he was inspired by aztec and mesoamerican deities). But i was afraid i would have to go farther north and make him one of the new viable deities who will try to unite the 12 oaks tribes.


if they are from the southeast, then it means i dont have to go so far north and it can match his exotic attire.
