It's a highly intelligent parasite. Perhaps it is an alien. That's part of the mystery! There are some details on it within the Operations Manual (IC tab).
 
Its behavior or its composition? Its behavior is obviously aggressive, invasive. The changeling's whole purpose is to propagate itself (whether the thing can communicate thoughts I'm not going to say yet).


In the parasitic form, the changeling could very well be microscopic. As it mutates there is no telling what becomes of it. That will also be a surprise.
 
Assimilation Progress



I had an idea. For when someone become infected. Whether or not their character knows of it this bar can take shape. Since Jabroni already stated the effects of assimilation this bar can be a good meter of what the charterer should be feeling until it is too late. Also a nice way to keep players updated without having to look back through all the pages. Tell me what you think.
 
I like that idea. Easier to keep track! Also, time will slow down when people start getting infected, as in things will progress by an hour or so each time change.
 
I'm glad you like that idea. I think it'll also serve as a good method of organization. I had a question about the assimilation process. Once the headache stage is reached and the brain is in question infected does the host start to act like the creature as their way of think way of thinking intertwines temporarily with the Changeling"s way of thinking until absorption?
 
Ah, that is a good question with an indefinite answer. Although knowing what other effects will occur is important, I don't want to simply paint the entire picture before it's realized. You know what I mean? For now let's say we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
 
Well, I don't want to say no to you, but we do have one already. Is there a particular subject within the life sciences that you enjoy? Like biology or anatomy? Maybe there's a compromise.
 
Well i'm a first year student xD . So I just started taking anatomy courses, but I could take a shot at it. xD . I want to try but I don't want to fail miserably~
 
It's okay not knowing. I have very little hands-on experience with the subject matter, and sometimes roleplay requires digging. When in doubt, use the internet :P
 
Also, I am still playing... Just kinda rped myself into a corner and now I'm waiting for someone else to make it to the kennels.... I've not lost interest.

Judging from the posting activity, I assume it's safe to say we can table this idea. Maybe I'll reboot it at a later date. Thanks to everyone who participated!
