Mortimer Sempers ( formerly: Ambrogino Volenti) | 23 | Male | 5’8” 150 lbs

Sexuality

Demi-sexual

Title

None. (formerly the son of the Earl of Tusvony, third grandson of His Excellence, the Grand Duke Giovanni Volenti)

Social Class

lower class, truant, vagabond, criminal

Powers

Transmutation:

Essentially, Mortimer has the ability to spontaneously change one substance into another. This power is limited to liquids only, and if the liquid substance is transmuted into a solid or gas element, it is not reversible by Mortimer’s power. However, if the effect is naturally reversible (without the use of powers) then the transmuted object can be returned to its original form. (i.e. Transmuting water to ice cannot be reverted back to liquid form by usage of transmutation powers, but the ice can be melted by heat.) The extent of this power is also dependent on the quality of the base liquid.

Pure, naturally liquid element---------->liquid, solid, gas elements/homogeneous mixtures/other

(Only mercury or bromine)--------------------->(mercury, iron, hydrogen/wine, blood/water, oil)

Pure, manipulated element-------------->manipulated or naturally liquid elements

(molten iron, condensed hydrogen)---------->(molten metals, condensed gases, mercury, bromine)

Homogeneous liquid------------------------>homogeneous mixtures/heterogeneous mixtures

(salt water, wine)-------------------------------->(juice, blood, steeped tea without leaves/mud, oily water, tea with leaves)

Heterogeneous (liquid-solid)------------->can only transition into its solid impurity

(tea with tea leaves, muddy water)----------->(muddy water becomes dirt, tea with leaves becomes dried tea leaves)

Heterogeneous (liquid-liquid)----------->any of the liquids are permissible to become the product, but only one product is producible

(oily water, milk)-------------------------------->(oily water-either oil or water; milkshake- either cream, water, or milk)

Heterogeneous (liquid-gas)----------------->can only transition into its gaseous impurity

(carbonated drink, gaseous liquid)------------>(carbonated drink becomes carbon dioxide gas)

-Preservation of matter is maintained automatically between the base liquid and the product.

For example: 1 cup of dense liquid = 3 cups of light liquid = 17 cups of gas

-The liquid products of a transmutation can only be something that has been used as a base liquid.

For example: If Mortimer has never used coffee as a base liquid, then he can’t transmute anything into coffee.

-The solid products of a transmutation can only be something that has been deliberately touched.

For example: If Mortimer has never touched wood, or the contact wasn’t intentional, then he can’t transmute any liquids into wood.

-The gas products of a transmutation can only be something that has been inhaled.

For example: If Mortimer has never breathed in Helium, then he can’t transmute any liquids into Helium.

Hydrokinetic/Hemokinetic Divination

-Unlike his transmutation ability, Mortimer's second ability, divination, is limited to two liquids: water and blood. With both mediums, there must be a form of the liquid present at Mortimer's end of the connection, as well as in the vicinity of the target area/individual.

Hydrokinetic Divination-

This portion of divination drawls its potency through the characteristics of water at the targeted end. Visual/auditory clarity, mobility of the divination source at the target's end, and time limits are dependent on water's forms: liquid, solid or gas.

Liquid-

moderate visual clarity-------moderate auditory clarity-----uncontrollable mobility----------fluid, average time frame

Ice-

high visual clarity-------------------low auditory clarity--------------little to no mobility-----------------stable, long time frame

Vapor-

very low visual clarity--------high auditory clarity------------slow, but deliberate mobility----wispy, very short time frame

On Mortimer's end of the divination connection, one of his hands must be submerged completely in water. Mixtures and water-based liquids, such as muddy water or milk, will not work. It must be clean water.

Hemokinetic Divination-

The second liquid, blood, is the only other liquid that can be used for Mortimer's divination ability. However, the setup and execution of this power has many distinctions from its twin ability, hydrokinetic divination. Blood is a much more stable divination liquid for the target end, and people, objects, or locations all have the potential to be targeted. The usage of blood as the divination liquid is risky, though, as the preparation must be well thought out and entirely intentional. Where as Mortimer can merely submerge his hand in water and mentally probe for places of interest, his hemokinetic ability requires that he already know the specific location/individual of his spying, and that he come into physical contact with said target. There are 4 basic steps to an effective hemokinetic divination:

Source-

Determining the target of interest, which generally involves a bit of information collection and tracking. Or private exploration, if it's a location.

Tagging-

Taking a sample of his own blood and 'tagging' the target. A few drops is sufficient, but the blood must be dried before the third stage can begin. This is generally the most difficult part of the process, as the blood must be fresh when applied, and must stay on the target in order for his power to work. Also, the tagging must be very specific to the target, especially if it's a person. If Mortimer tags a target's clothing instead of the person's skin, then his tracking of the person may be lost if said person takes off the article of clothing that was tagged.

Meditation-

Once the blood on the target has dried completely, Mortimer must find a safe place to lie down and enter a state of subconscious rest. Though he is mentally aware of his surroundings, he will be unable to move or otherwise protect himself. This is the most vulnerable phase of his hemokinetic divination.

Flow-

The fourth stage is the maintenance of blood flow from his hand, as long as the connection is necessary. Due to his nearly comatose state during the actual divination, Mortimer must make a wound in his palm before entering the meditative stage. As soon as the blood begins the coagulate, the connection will end.

Unlike the hydrokinetic divination, where he can visit a target site as often as he wants, once the hemokinetic connection is broken, Mortimer must tag the target again to renew the connection. Also, once the wound is made in his hand and he enters the meditative state, Mortimer cannot end the connection himself, and must remain in his subconscious state until the blood naturally stops flowing. Though hemokinetic divination is extremely risky, it has the unique characteristic of allowing Mortimer to share his target's experiences. If he tags a person or object, then he will feel, see, and hear in sync with the person/object. If he tags a place, then he is able to observe the area in a nearly

omnipresent

way.

Personality

Mortimer Sempers. An unusual man, to be sure. If there was any one word that could best describe him, it would most likely be: whimsical. Always off in his own little world, Mortimer’s perceptions of reality are often warped by his runaway imagination. Maybe it is due to his divination, or maybe he is just a very perceptive person; either way, Mortimer tends to personify all sorts of objects and creatures. Trees will often talk to him, and he can play poker with a semi-circle of rocks. Now, this is an endearing trait for children to have, but only a matter of immediate concern when applied to an adult.

Despite his lackadaisical, devil-may-care demeanor, Mortimer is quite clever, often subtly using his powers to maximize the effects of his intuitive nature. It seems he also takes great entertainment in secretly transmuting other people's drinks into disgusting concoctions, perhaps because he is a borderline teetotaler. Though he is dismissed as the benign sort of mad man, Mortimer’s lack of empathy for his peers gives him an insensitive and almost sadistic streak when it comes to social situations. His cold indifference for his fellow human beings is a big reason, along with his questionable sanity, that most people tend to avoid him. This sort of isolation could drive any man completely insane, but Mortimer never really minds. The trees can hold much better conversations, you know.

History

Once upon a time, in a faraway land reminiscent of a leather boot, a beautiful, young lady was to be wed to the wealthy son of the Grand Duke. Unfortunately, this meant that she was no longer able to stay in her homelands, and she had to leave her family, friends, and illicit lover behind. The wedding was held with much pomp and ceremony, and miraculously enough, she was soon with child. The Grand Duke’s son was rather confused, though, as he had been sleeping separately from his young wife since the first day they were wed. After inquiring of his wife’s affairs in her homelands, he soon realized that this child was actually of a lover, not his. Confronting his wife about the paternity of her unborn child, the lady confessed to her infidelity, and beseeched her husband to let her child live. He allowed her to keep the child, and even asked that she consider the child as a legitimate son, in order to appease his father’s pressure to produce an heir for the Duchy. The lady, rather taken aback with her husband’s magnanimity, nevertheless agreed, for her illegitimate child now had a claim to the greatest Duchy in the land. And so, the Grand Duke soon had the grandson he wanted, and the young couple spoke not of their son’s origins.

A few years later, the lady was again with child, this time more intentionally than before. And, to her delight, the Grand Duke’s son once again agreed to claim the child as his own. It wasn’t so much that he cared for his wife, or even her illegitimate children. What impaired his better judgment was a strange affliction, a disease of the heart. Love. Yes, the young man was deeply in love, but not with his wife, nor yet any of the lovely ladies of the court. He’d given his heart to a witch that dwelled by the ocean’s shore. Indeed, she was a witch, an alchemist, but the young man still loved her and yearned for her company. This was a plain-looking, yet intelligent woman, not in the least sparkling and glittering like the vivacious gems that the young man was usually surrounded by. To him, the only son of an Italian Grand Duke, this commoner was a refreshingly cool oasis in a scorching desert of beauty and glamorous mirages. The witch also loved the kind yet mysterious young man that occasioned to visit her hovel on the beach.

After a few years passed, the young man left the palace for a long time. A month later, when he came back, his wife noticed that he seemed to be in unusually good spirits. Sending discreet inquiries into the surrounding lands, the lady soon learned that her husband frequented the ocean-side in his travels. Waiting until her husband was summoned to attend to his father at court, she paid a visit to a certain little home on the beach. Not wanting to be seen, she peered cautiously through the curtainless window and saw, to her surprise, a low-class woman tenderly cradling and nursing a baby boy. As she traveled back to her palace home, the lady became increasingly wrathful and paranoid, worrying about the legitimacy of her sons’ inheritance, now that her husband had actually sired child of his own. And so she plotted to secure her sons’ futures, in the best way possible.

For weeks, the locals of the beach would talk of nothing but the riotous soldiers that had come in the night to take the wicked witch away. Even the Grand Duke’s son had come, albeit much later, on a thundering, black steed, shouting for the soldiers to relinquish their hold on the witch. As grand of a lord as he was, the young man stooped down and carried the lifeless woman into her hut, obviously wanting to protect the soldiers from any malingering curses that the witch may have placed to protect herself. Lo and behold, he’d stepped out of the wooden hovel with a baby boy, no doubt a child that’d been stolen away to be the witch’s next meal. And so the lord left, everybody cheering because he was quite the valiant young fellow, bravely vanquishing evil witches.

Long after the rumors died down and the common folk resumed gossip about other, sordid affairs, the Grand Duke’s son still refused to acknowledge his wife, choosing instead to spend time in the nursery, watching over the baby that he’d taken from the witch’s hut. Though she often clung to him in public, crying and beseeching him to acknowledge his poor, loving wife, the young lord refused to talk to his lady, weathering the siege of tears and pleas in stony silence. The Grand Duke demanded that his son treat his wife properly, and to stop worrying so much about the low-class child. The young man countered his father’s orders with a request. If he may claim the child as his own, he would resume his duties as a high-standing member of society. After much consideration, the Grand Duke agreed to his son’s wish, under the condition that the child be known as a bastard son, not a common orphan. The young man was delighted and in the future, he would always regard the irony of the agreement with a touch of cynical amusement.

So the baby became a little boy, and the child was a silly thing, often slinking around the palace with the cats, repainting the parlor’s furniture, or teaching his older brothers how to efficiently slide down the banister on the grand staircase. The lord’s two, legitimate children were never very mindful of their new brother’s bastard status, though the oldest of the three would occasionally remark that it’d be even better if their mother could like the little boy too. The lady, indeed, despised the bastard son, often refusing to acknowledge his presence in a room, or demanding that he have his share of household work, seeing as he wasn’t a real member of the noble family. The little boy bore all this treatment in good humor, for he had two brothers, a kindly father, and a secret trick that was quite entertaining. He had no need for a mother.

A decade passed, and the child was now much older. At the age of 14, he was a wild boy, most accustomed to roaming around bustling cities or secluded woods. His brothers no longer lived at home, as they were sent to study abroad in France. Lacking in playmates, the boy delved further into his little secret, testing the limitations of his powers, trying different tricks, different materials. One day, his father caught him in the act of transmuting a cup of wine into water. Instead of feeling elation that his son was gifted by God, the lord became increasingly concerned for his son’s wellbeing. Fearing that his wife may attempt to use utilize these powers as an excuse to harm his son, the lord sent the boy away to stay with the Grand Duke Volenti, his own father. Although initially displeased with this arrangement, the Grand Duke nonetheless became rather interested in the boy’s power. Even being confined indoors, the boy was delighted that his grandfather was willing to assist in his experiments. Liquids, objects, and bottled gases of all sorts were secretly purchased, whatever the price, and added as ingredients for the child’s private laboratory. In return, using his more recently developed divination abilities, the boy collected political and societal information for his grandfather. The shrewd Grand Duke Volenti was soon hailed as the most acute and influential noble in Italian society.

On the boy’s 13th birthday feast, his grandfather decided to announce his heir to the Grand Duchy. It was a shock to all the guests present when his Excellence, the Grand Duke Volenti, stepped forward and named his son’s bastard child as the next heir in the Volenti family. It was a shock to the boy as well, for he’d just arrived on the threshold of youth, and now suddenly he was expected to carry one of the most prestigious titles in southern Europe. His father was present at the feast, of course, as was his father’s wife. The lady was absolutely livid with rage. Driven insane by the betrayal she felt from her husband, as well as the hatred that had feasted on her heart since the very first day she’d seen the boy, the lady lashed out at the newly appointed heir and attempted to stab him with her dinner knife. Though she was restrained by neighboring guests, and the youth was unharmed, the Grand Duke was extremely offended by the lady’s behavior, and insisted that she be confined to her rooms until he could think of a suitable punishment for her. The boy excused himself from the table as well, claiming that he was tired, and wanted some privacy.

Once in her rooms, the lady managed to regain her senses, and was horrified at what she’d done. Not wanting to further disgrace herself, and still feeling passionately righteous, the lady tore a strip off of her bed-sheets and hung herself from the post of her bed. Even as she felt the cloth tighten fatally around her neck, she continued to wallow in her self-pity, cursing the bastard son that stole her family away. And the youth merely used his divination powers to observe the lady's death from the safety of his rooms. He felt nothing, watching the solitary figure that swayed from the bed post. No love, no hatred, no pity. Once the boy was certain she was dead, he took his hand out of his bathroom’s marble basin and slipped out and down the hallway, to the lady’s room. Carefully, he unlocked the door and stepped over to the body, lifting the lady up out of the makeshift noose and dragging her onto the bed’s mattress. Once he was done moving the corpse, the boy pulled the strip of cloth from the bed post and untied the loop. After winding it around the lady’s neck once, he stepped back and admired his work for a few moments, before escaping the room through the window. The next morning, the Grand Duke Volenti retracted his statement from the night before, choosing his eldest grandson as the heir instead. Meanwhile, soldiers everywhere were busy scouring the surrounding lands for any signs of the bastard child that had murdered a noblewoman in cold blood.

On a ship bound for the coast of England, Mortimer Sempers silently wished himself a happy 13th birthday.

Lafayette Jean Lebeau | 21 | Male

Sexuality: Pansexual

Title: Lord Lafayette Lebeau III, son of the recently deceased Lord Lafayette Lebeau II

Social Class: Upper-class

Powers:

Extrasensory Perception (ESP):

Referred as also "cryptesthesia", "relesthesia", and "clairvoyance", extrasensory perception is possibly the most commonly reported supernatural ability, as well as the most mistakenly diagnosed. This is likely due to the vague lines that divide the actual power from abnormally high perception (e.g. Someone who is capable of predicting a phone call from a parent without any previous experience relating to that period in time vs. a person who often receives a phone call from a parent on that particular day, and was able to determine the time of the call using the information that other small variables provide them).

ESP is an ability that allows awareness of future events to exist (seeing into the distance). Whereas most people are granted five basic, mechanic senses: touch, sight, sound, smell, and taste, ESP remains a completely subconscious sense, unrelated to the previously listed. This often takes form in dreams (vividly detailed as well as intuitive), hallucinations, and simple "gut feelings".

Theories concerning the cause and nature of ESP differ greatly. The following examples are those in which Lafayette identifies and agrees with, using his own personal experience.

Researcher Louisa E. Rhine proposed the theory that ESP begins in the unconscious, a storage room for hopes, fears, dreams, and desires. At some point in time, information concerning particular events is absorbed, remaining in the back of a person's mind until a situation or thought awakens it once more, and the idea reveals itself.

Physiatrist Carl G. Jung provided a similar theory, stating that people who hold possession of ESP have access to the collection unconscious, a vast library of wisdom and experience of the human race.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_08/esp.jpg.25d3752bcb1a2f77a15485c996ed91ed.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="26704" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_08/esp.jpg.25d3752bcb1a2f77a15485c996ed91ed.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Personality:
As a man who believes life should not shrouded in painstakingly modest affairs, Lafayette tarnishes himself and his estate with tawdry finery, cunningly disguised as items of great value. One may state that this addiction to fraud valuables indicates that the owner is inexplicably vain and cheap, yet it is more so out of insecurity and self-loathing that Lafayette pursues such objects. Visualizing himself as a corrupt and flawed individual, he seeks to bury his identity in fine material, but is unable to purchase quality desires due to the rapidly deteriorating fortune that he had inherited from his deceased father. Vain to a point of ridiculousness, Lafayette takes great care to attend to the well-being of his appearance, often leaving other stately duties behind in order to fulfill his wish.

Despite his petty tendencies, Lafayette is a clever, dry-witted man who takes great joy in imitating his enemies, and dollies in sarcasm. He flirts unabashedly with anything that moves, and more often than not renders his male targets confused and/or completely flabbergasted. Notorious for having a long line of mistresses, Lafayette feels next to nothing for the women he brings to bed, thinking of them as experiments rather than actual people. When faced with a shy party guest who remains either too terrified or wasted to ask a woman to dance, it has become a habit of his to state, “Women… There’s an endless supply of them. They sit in tidily clumped bunches, just waiting for someone to pluck them off their branch.”

Charismatic to the point, Lafayette's way of words is almost enough to redeem himself in the eyes of people who meet him. With seemingly genuine flattery and well-placed humor, he winds his more or less intoxicated party guests around his finger, lending coin every now and then if the subject is particularly stubborn. He does this not for power, but for entertainment. Fascinated by cause and effect, Lafayette enjoys placing his wealthy 'friends' in numerous situations, warping them to his own desire, and then sit back and watch the drama ensue. His extrasensory perception plays a large role in his ability to play with the higher class as if they were puppets, as he will often learn little facts that his guests will later announce, allowing him to observe and pin-point secrets that may be used as black mail later on.

Although it may appear that Lafayette constantly uses his extrasensory perception to his advantage, he feels that it is more of a curse than a gift, no matter how hard he tries to convince himself of its worth. Always knowing what is to come in the future, Lafayette is unable to make decisions himself, and to alter upcoming events. Similar to multiple time-travel theories, to change the visions portrayed in his mind would create a paradox, as, in a way, the events have already been secured into place. "Free will is simply an illusion, a powerful illusion that differentiates a content but ignorant man from one who is miserable but knowing. Every breath you take, every word you say is already set in place. No matter how hard you try, you cannot change the future. Fate, you say? No... Human nature."

Charlotte Eleanor Florence | 22 | Female

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Title: Lady

Social Class: Upper Class

Powers:

OMNILINGUISM: The ability to instantly understand any form of language simply by hearing one sentence spoken of it. This includes French, Spanish, Latin, Ancient Greek, etc. and yet does not apply to any child-like made up words. She cannot speak to animals, only humans and she believes that the language must be publically recognized as exisiting for her to be able to understand it. She does not have the ability to create her own language, without the use of her power at least. This ability would prove to come in great use while visiting other countries and entertaining foreign guests, although she often does not realize that she is speaking in another tongue. To her, everyone appears to be speaking English.

WATER BREATHING: Charlotte has the ability to breathe underwater for an unlimited amount of time. She does not have any need to resurface for air at any given point of time, her health is not affected in any way, and she does not have the strange, aquatic sight of gills anywhere on her body. Unlike most humans, her throat has a biologically formed filter in it, which separates the oxygen from anything she might inhale from her surroundings. While underwater, this works to keep her alive and her body functioning almost as normally as if she were simply breathing above. At the end of each breath, tthe water in her throat is forced back up through her nose and out of her body. It is not a pleasant experience, but will also form Charlotte into a habitual yet quite mouth breather.

Lydia Helene Faulkener| 18 | Female

Sexuality: Bisexual

Title: Commoner

Social Class: Lower Class

Powers:

FORCE FIELD MANIPULATION: The ability to create a force field with a current range of 5 meters, a strength that would stop a lightly thrown object, a shimmering blue transparency that betrays the fact that something is actually there, protecting its creator. The duration of the force field depends upon both the persistant strength of the outside object and her own enduration. For example, if she was trying to hold off a very strong current, it will continually weaken the force field until cracks will appear into the blue shield until there is literally nothing left. When Lydia is merely holding off other objects, the strength and force will impact her mental and physical ability. If something begins to grow too much for her to handle, her nose will begin to bleed. If something is definitely too much, she will eventually faint due to it. At the moment, her force field is extremely weak as she has not "exercised" at all.

REGENERATIVE HEALING: Unlike the average human being, Charlotte has the ability to heal her own body three times faster than normal. Being on the brink of death, however, does not mean that she will not die. Her power is not instant, only faster than usual. Nothing can be guaranteed, except for the fact that paper cuts only sting for about a mnute until it heals. She is not able to heal anyone else, only herself but this power is also strangely linked to her force field manipulation. Her self-healing capabilities can actually help her keep her force field up for a longer duration by staying the effects that cause her tire more.

Personality:

History:

Lydia Helene Faulkener was born in 1864 to British aristocracy, under Lord James Faulkener and Lady Elizabeth Powell. She has an older brother, yet an age difference of 11 years separated them from growing up together and thus, getting to know each other better than simply Christmas dinners and most family balls and celebrations. Her father held an important position in the British monarchy, her mother was the perfect Victorian housewife and her brother was engaged at thirteen and moved to start another life with his own wife. Lydia was largely left alone to her own devices, and formed close bonds with her servants and the cooks.

A beautiful girl even from a young age, Lord James held high hopes for his daughter. He dreamed to sell her off to a man of even higher social status than he was, and thus further carry on the family legacy. She was the perfect, respectful child at all social events but would often prefer to go riding or explore during the down time. Had her parents paid more attention to their only daughter, they would have realized that she had grown to become an ill fit for the quiet, reserved house life of the respectable Victorian woman.

At 16, Lord James and Lady Charlotte decided to host a rather spectacular ball for their only daughter, yet they were also going to reveal her engagement to a very wealthy suitor. Lydia, having not been warned of this surprise, had previously decided that she would rather spend most of the evening with her handmaiden, a young woman with whom she had very much fallen in love with. Attracted to both men and women, Lydia knew that if her parents found out about his "disgusting" affairs, it would be her social disgrace and alienation. She couldn't help it however. Her father, looking for her to present the big reveal, stumbled across Lydia and her handmaiden in the midst of a passionate kiss.

A deadly, embarrassed rage took over Lord James and grabbing the closest item, a butter knife, he launched forward to try and stab it into the servant girl. Lydia, horrified, tried to do everything that she could possibly do to make him stop but it would prove not to be enough. After numerous stabs, the young woman finally spit out a chunk of blood and collapsed to the ground. Lydia screamed and almost fell as well until her father turned to her, clothes slick with her lover's blood. He shouted at her that she was a disgrace to the family and in a fit of despair, Lydia launched herself forward onto the blade and impaled herself. Her father realized what had happened and almost instantly, his mannerisms changed and he instantly began to call for help. Lydia sobbed once and ran away from him out the servants door, intent on never returning. She was fine with dying if she could only get away from what had happened.

In a desperate attempt, she ran out into a storm and found herself lost quickly, losing a lot of blood. As she stumbled down a country lane, Lydia soon fell to the ground and lost consciousness. What no one could have possibly assumed was that the next morning, she actually woke up again. She had assumed that she was going to die from her injuries, but her regenerative healing abilities had been able to save her life. She still had a substantail wound and was in fear of blood loss, but she managed to survive. Not ever wanting to return back to where she came from, she headed to the city and decided to live on the streets. Her family told the world that she had merely been killed during the storm while traveling to the mansion for the ball. No one ever inquired about the dead servant. Lydia has not discovered her force field capabilities yet.

Powers: Matter ingestion~"The Iron gut"

The ability to ingest and digest anything with little to no debilitating after affects to the host. This includes not only biological products a:e food, plant life, poisons, etc, but also non-biologcial products such as metals, oils, plastics, etc. Though his stomach can digest anything, the size of his stomach may only expand so much limiting the amount of matter he may take in at any point in time. His body is able to with stand the digestion of any item is due to an mysterious omnipotent acid-like bile which his gallbladder and colon creates. Along with his heathenistic hunger for any matter, Sidney's power also allows him to expel this bile orally in order to break down matter into more manageable sizes. While the act of expelling this bile does momently hurt Sidney to him the momentary damage is worth the effects it can do. The other perk of his power he discovered was that his body processes the alcohol quicker than normal. Allowing him to drink any man under the table.
