Where do the saved drafts go in a post?

Alright,

When you use the "Save Draft" feature in the Rich Text Editor, it saves it in the form of cache, which is built into your browser. You're always better off saving your post into a word document, or even google docs because your browser can randomly clear the cache by itself, or you can manually reset the cache.

Ok. Fair enough. I've tried that, however, and the paste function on my iPad (which I use for posting) seems not to work. Must I use a laptop or a pc?

I use my iPhone quite often to post, and have no problems pasting.

Are you meaning to tell us that the draft saving function does not work or that the copy and paste function on your iPad doesn't work?

The iPad paste function works fine, I use it for other forums and such and it works fine. I type in the notes app on my iPad and copy and paste from there into the post, so I can write longer pieces over a few days. But on this site it doesn't work. Which is frustrating to say the least.

Yes, I can imagine it is very frustrating. :( Do you have the rich text editor enabled? If so, try disabling it and then pasting something.

The rich text edit is automatically enabled. This is the part of RpNation that allows you to see the editing bar, which is like the editing tools in a word processor (font, size, bold, italics, etc). You can go into your preferences and uncheck 'Use the rich text editor to create and edit messages'. Save the changes you made, refresh the page, and then you should no longer be able to see the RTE when you make posts.

You're very welcome. :) Just as a heads up, your browser will no longer save drafts now that the RTE is disabled. Make sure you save your work in a word processor like Microsoft Word or Google Docs!
