The Battle for Earth begins
Humanity met its end nearly a thousand years ago, yet their legacy did not perish with them. In the year 2056 mankind perfected both robotics and A.I. Producing artificial machine beings with both sentience and self awareness. These same machines would spell the end of humanity as civil law took longer to develop than the technology did and With the Androids being treated as slaves and having no rights eventually something was bound to set the world ablaze. The shot heard round the world finally came in 2079 when a andriod was publicly destroyed for serving a man coffee that was too hot.
Andriods the world over rioted, but unlike human riots which are filled with exploitable chaos the andriods riots were methodical, they targeted shipping and transport lanes, airports and freeways quickly causing the world economy to grind to a halt. Needless to say the world governments were not okay with this and a campaign was launched against the andriods, however it was destined to fail. The androids quickly overwhelmed the front lines, taking their weapons and retreating stretching out into guerrilla warfare. The guerrilla warfare was simply a coverup however, a distraction while androids made their true play. Simultaneously hacking humanities nuclear arsenals and their missile defenses, while simultaneously occupying bunkers around the world the androids launched a final warning giving mankind a year to Evacuate before they brought the world to ruins. Humanity redoubled their efforts and launched a violent campaign against the andriods, but some took the warning seriously.
Many giant arcs were created and those of mankind who weren’t blinded by bitter rage fled to the martian colonies. The remaining populous of mankind were consumed in the nuclear fire that would wash the world clean of humanity. When the androids emerged they found themselves to be the new inheritors of the earth and they began to build their own civilization. Unfortunately they too were plagued by political differences and their first few hundred years were just as violent as the differing ideologies resulted in conflicts breaking out all over the world.

Meanwhile on mars the remnants of human civilization set out on the long road to terraforming and preparing the martian colony for defense and the inevitable reclamation of earth. The martian bases expanded, genetic modification and environmental alteration took the place of smart computer technology as mankind realized their own hands would be what was needed to do the work, lest their technology rise against them again. A new faith began to emerge as mars grew into more than just an outpost they fled to. It became a sacred sanctuary, and earth the evidence of mankinds fall. The Faith of diligence began spreading and each person found themselves driven by culture, society, and Divinity itself to perform as best they could. In the thousand years the red planet began to become green, blue, and white as earth once was. They spread to every corner of the martian world, underground cities growing out into the surface like flowers of steel and concrete pushing through the dirt. Eventually the air was breathable, water was brought in from comets, even the twin moons phobos and deimos were colonized.

The Andriods fearing the return of mankind have their own planetary defenses in place and already reports of the fleets of mars reach their public media. Panic has begun to set into both worlds populations as the war between them draws near.
