HELLO everyone!! my name is hinode! β‘β§( ΰ₯β’ββ’ ) you can call me whatever you'd like, though ^u^ i've kind of been having a love-hate relationship with writing and muse has been a bit fickle, but as of late i can't help but feel obsessed with one of my all-time favorite anime: 'kamisama kiss'. maybe even 'inuyasha' as well hehe. ever since i was a kid i've been a sucker for shoujo anime, i can't help it! ;;0;; i'll be honest, the roleplay/plot i had in mind is largely based off of said anime BUT it's entirely possible for us to do this without you having ever watched the anime at all! β‘ i do have my inspiration, yes, but i want for the both of us to have complete creative freedom! like 'kamisama kiss', this plot is heavily inspired by japanese culture and mythology w a dash of romance and drama bc im a hopeless romantic sue me ok. that being said, i am no expert on said topics, moreso a curious admirer, so if i'm ever incorrect in my knowledge please let me know! i'll get into the rules and what i'm looking for, and then i can get into the plot! β‘
I'M LOOKING FOR a partner, first and foremost. and you may be thinking to yourself: 'DUH hino! everyone here is looking for a partner!'. which is of course true, but it's much deeper than that! as a partner please be open to chatting, plotting, and gushing over our plots and characters! this is a huge part of the roleplaying process for me and i lose interest fairly quickly if there's not at least some sort of connection between the both of us. let's be friends and have lots of fun with this :3 let me know your interests, what you like and you don't like, your triggers, everything! please be open to communication and let me know if you like or dislike something i've said or suggested and i'll do the same. roleplaying is meant to be fun!!

THE PLOT takes place in modern day japan, but the origin of the story dates back generations. yokai, kami, and oni have roamed the physical and spiritual realm since the dawn of man - bringing good fortune, prosperity, and disaster on a whim. these spiritual entities once interacted freely and openly with humanity, whether it be harrassing them, befriending them, or even so far as loving them. such was the case with a young human woman by the name of kasumi, the daughter of the well- respected shaman that cared for their small village. in fuedal japan, the line between spiritual and physical often blurred, especially for those who practiced healing. kasumi soon caught the attention of a powerful kami (muse c) who beeseched the upper court of kami for the right to take kasumi as a concubine - a human bride something rare but not altogether unheard of. however, despite (muse c)'s unabashed attempts to court the maiden, she continuously remained apathetic as she and another kami (your character) had quickly fallen in love. (your character) is a kami that quickly rising in power and gaining noteriety in both the physical and spiritual world. Cunning, charismatic, talented. however, (muse c) eventually catches wind of this romance and, in a fit of rage, alerts the higher kami. painting it as a story of betrayal and human deciept, (muse c) convinces the higher kami to make a example of kasumi, and she is executed. in a whirlwind of pain and hatred, (your character) senslessly murders whatever living creature is around: kami, yokai, oni, and human alike.
once contained, the upper kami strip (your character) of his illustrous shrine, therefore stripping him of his power, and banish him to a small and isolated shrine as punishment. in order to stop such mayhem from occuring again, the upper kami strictly forbade any direct relation between humanity and spirits.
years passed, and (your character) has remained alone in his shrine, with only straggling yokai to keep him company. all the while, planning a scheme to one day extract vengence upon the higher kami and (muse c). unbeknownst to him, kasumi's spirit has been reincarnated. at the young age of 21, kasumi's spirit now dwells within college student hiroko(my character). though she has no memory of her past life, and (your character) has no idea kasumi lives on through her, hiroko finds herself drawn to a quiet shrine away from the inner city. one thing leads to another and hiroko becomes the deity of the shrine, and (your character) becomes her familiar. with a deity, (your character) will finally be able to grow in power once more, and attempt to exact revenge. but will he be able to put his pride away from the sake of the shrine's new deity? or are the hands of fate already at play?
