Two rpers meet online and start an rp, what will happen after years of rping with each other? What will happen when they meet each other? Will they fall in love or just be close friends?
Natalie sighed as she waited for her computer to boot up. She tapped her fingers against the area below the keyboard impatiently and rolled her eyes at how slow it was starting up. She had posts to write and she didn't want to wait thirty minutes to write them. Finally the computer started and gave her the login screen. She typed her password in and waited for five minutes before it brought her to her desktop. She moved her mouse to hover over her internet browser and clicked. When it opened, she quickly typed the web address for her favorite site (RpNation) in and waited while it loaded.
As it loaded she thought over previous rps that she had been in. She remembered one about a quest to find a hairbrush. That one was mostly for fun, but it had been hilarious. She smiled fondly at the memory and her thoughts drifted to another rp. The was one about a group of girls who were on the run from a doctor who had determined that he wanted to use them for an experiment. Her smile faded, that one had not turned out well at all. She sighed and shook her head. In the end of that rp, her character had been killed. She glanced at her screen and saw that the page had finally loaded.
She smiled and logged into the site. She went to the 1x1 threads and clicked 'Make New Thread'. When the screen changed, she smiled softly and quickly named it 'RP, anyone?' After that was done she quickly pressed the button that would send it flying into the forum and show everyone what she wanted in a rp partner. She waited and after thirty minutes, no one had posted. She frowned and shook her head. The rest of the day went slow as she waited for someone to post there. She finally gave up and went to watch the chat. She rolled her eyes at the discussion and watched the discussion. Occasionally something humorous caught her eye and she giggled. Her eyes occasionally flicked to the upper right of her screen and searched for a little one.
After a long day dealing with his job and rude customers, since he worked in fast-food, and not everyone was always happy. 'The Customer Is Always Right' That's a load of bull... he though as he pulled onto the curb of the street to his home, since he was still young he still had to live with his parents, He didn't mind. They were wonderful people, but he sometimes had his moments with them that annoyed him. The hours were getting late, almost 9pm now... He sighed as he walked into the home, and went to his room.
Shutting the door and opened up his laptop as he waited for the login screen to appear and got on. The first thing he felt like doing was roleplay, and so he moved on to the bookmark tabs he has under the URL location and clicked on RPNation, since all of his main RP's are just about finished with the exception of a few on other sites, he went to the 'Looking For Partners (1x1)' Tab to see what was there. Mainly just boring stuff people with fandoms he isn't interested in, but he still took at look at nearly all of the roleplays available until he got to one that state 'RP, anyone?' After dealing with almost 5 of the same pages of people with fandom, he almost decided to skip over it, until he noticed that no one commented on the post. So he decided to look, and the only reason she didn't have anything on there was because her post was different from post.
Interested in one of the RP's that she put in, He decided to reply to it saying that he was interested in her rp idea, and would be willing to work with the user on it. The user seemed to have some of the similar interests he had, Some modern, some fantasy, some Animal, things of that nature.
As she watched the sb, Natalie groaned in annoyance. She shook her head and once again she looked at the upper right corner of her screen. Unlike before there was a little red one. Her eyes widened and she pressed it quickly, excited to see the reply. She looked at the reply and grinned. Her little sister, a girl of twelve, looked over her shoulder to see what Natalie was so excited about. Natalie looked at her sister and pulled her into a giant hug, excited. Her sister's eyes widened and she hugged back. Natalie then turned back to the screen and typed in a reply to say that she was interested in doing a rp with the respondee. Her sister watched her for a while and then shrugged and walked off to find something to do.
"Natalie, your father and I are going out. Would you watch Kaitlyn for us?" her mother asked. Natalie looked at her mother and nodded. She sighed as her parents walked out of the house. She looked at her sister and then at the screen.
"What?" her sister asked.
"Oh, nothing Kaitlyn," she replied. Her sister rolled her eyes and sat by Natalie.
"So, what's that?" Kaitlyn asked. Natalie shrugged and smiled.
Thinking that the user may not reply so quickly, Daniel left the site to check on other sites to do some simple roleplaying replies, until he got a notification on his phone, and he opened up a new tab and went over to the site again. Checking on the users response, and smiled softly before clicking on the users profile picture, and started a conversation.
'So yeah.. the rp?' he started the conversation with the user as he posted it to the user, keeping the tab open since she seemed really interested on doing the rp now. He looked at the profile, seeing to get some info on the user, The user was a girl, and she was 17, the same age as him. Or maybe she was older... he didn't know.
Natalie looked at her sister for a moment then at the screen of her laptop. Kaitlyn rolled her eyes and looked at the television. Natalie smiled when she saw that she had a conversation to read. She clicked on it and thought for a moment.
"Shall we discuss the plot and such?" she typed. She looked at her sister who was watching some show on Nickelodeon. She rolled her eyes and waited for a reply to what she had just sent. She shrugged and decided to check her other rp sites.
Getting the notification of a reply. He replied to the girl saying "Yeah, So Obviously this was a typical Boy meets girl yes?" He sent it to her and sat back for a moment, getting a little bit happy as this will be his first new RP in a while... He went out quickly to grab a soda for him to drink obviously, and come back to see if she had replied to him.
She smiled as she read the message. Her sister looked at her for a moment, rolled her eyes and went back to what she was watching. Natalie looked at her sister with an expression that said 'What?'. Kaitlyn laughed and watched her show. Natalie face planed and typed her responce.
After reading his reply, he began to type up an ideal plot that would soon lead them to being roleplaying partners for almost 3 years, constantly talking as they roleplayed, they knew so much about each other that they could date if they wanted too, but neither of them didn't online date, so they didn't think about it.
One day, As Daniel sat quietly in his new home after finally unpacking his last box since moving in almost 2 months ago, he opened up his laptop to check the roleplays him and Natalie were in, and then he check the messages and noticing that she had sent him a peculiar message, so he began to read it...
(Obviously you're doing the message x3 just setting ya up :3)
Natalie had often wondered about her rp partner, but after her parents divorce when she was eighteen and the custody battle for her sister that ended with her taking her sister, she hadn't thought much of him. Now however, her parents had been divorced for two years and her sister, now fifteen, had a job walking dogs. She herself was a jjunior in college and was studying creative writing. Now that the drama in her life had seemed to calm down an idea came to mind. In all truth, she felt that her parents were wise to get divorced.
"I'm going over to a friend's house, " Kaitlyn said.
Natalie nodded and told her to be careful, to which Kaitlyn rolled her eyes and walked out of the apartment. Natalie sighed and began to type a message that would change her life.
"Hey, wanna meet in real life?" she asked in her message. She got up after typing the message and walked to the small kitchen to get a drink. She grabbed a glass and filled it with water. She walked back to the living room and drank as she awaited Daniel's reply.
Daniel felt a bit rushed, but wanted to make sure he read that correctly, and replied to her with "What do you mean?" He almost could feel his heart racing a bit. He wouldn't mind meeting her, he saw a picture of her once before, and thought she was absolutely beautiful. He never truthfully said it in the message though, he oly said that she was really pretty, but he never said absolutely beautiful. He sat waiting for a reply for a little bit.
When Natalie read his reply, she put her glass down on the floor and sighed. She didn't know it would be that hard to explain, but she started to explain what she meant anyways. "I mean, we've been friends for what, three years? Maybe we should meet." she replied. She shrugged and took her empty glass to the kitchen. She shook her head and smiled. She should have expected that, she did just ask that out of the blue. She walked back to the living room and sat down.
Daniel could feel his heart racing a little bit more, and he looked at the weather for a moment, and then said "Alright... well... pack for cold weather, it's going to be cold... My address is 7732 Pryor Ave. Crestwood, Kentucky' When he sent it, he almost felt like something bad was going to happen, but like she said, they've been close for 3 years now, this couldn't be anything bad. Meeting her? He's wanted to do that for 2 years now...
She read the reply and sighed. She got up and walked to a desk on the other side of the room. She grabbed a pen and paper and walked back to her laptop and wrote the address down. "Alright, will do. We'll be there in about a day and a half" she replied. She then called Kaitlyn and told her to come home. When Kaitlyn got home they both started to pack. Natalie occasionally glanced at her laptop, which her sister smacked her for once then went back to packing.
"I'm going to the car, " Kaitlyn grumbled before dragging her two bags to Natalie's car. Natalie finished packing and grabbed her laptop bag. She quickly put her laptop in the bag and grabbed her keys. She put her phone in her pocket and dragged everything she had packed in the car.
On the way from Pennsylvania to Kentucky, Kaitlyn did nothing but complain. When they got to Daniel's address, Natalie was about ready to pull her hair out.
"Kaitlyn, shut it. " She muttered. Kaitlyn rolled her eyes and stepped out of the car. She grabbed her bags and walked up to the front door. Natalie sighed and layed her head against the steering wheel for a moment before getting out of the car and grabbing her bags from the backseat. She walked to the front door and knocked. As they waited, Kaitlyn, being a typical teenager did her best to annoy her sister. Natalie shook her head at Kaitlyn.
Daniel was actually out doing some business, and he turned down the street to see a car in his driveway, and narrowed his eyes for a moment as he drove past the house, and turned around and parked on the curb watching them as he got out "Hey Nat." He said chuckling a bit nervously as he grabbed his keys out of the car, almost dropping them and walked up to the door opening it, and allowed them in.
Once in, he went back out for a moment to gab a bag of food he got, and went back in, locking his car as he walked in and shut the door as he watched the two kind of nervously and went into the kitchen to set stuff down.
Daniel looked at Natalie and then at Kaitlyn, and thought for a moment, but didn't really know what to do. So he grabbed the remote and gave it to her. "Watch what ever you want as long as it isn't paid to watch." He said chuckling and looked at Natalie and smiled a bit "H-Hi..." He only brought out to her sort of nervous about meeting her in person...
Daniel looked back and chuckled "Better than complaining." He said looking bac at her as he sat down on a chair, inviting her to sit in the chair next to it. He watched Kaitlin for a moment, and then looked back at Natalie "So... What made you wanna come out here, other than 'cause we've been friends for 3 years." He noted as he watched her.
Natalie nodded and smiled once more. she sat in the chair next to him. She leaned back and closed her eyes as she thought.
"You should have heard her on the way here. No, take it back...I don't know how we made it here alive, " she said with a sigh. She opened her eyes and looked at Daniel. "And honestly, I just wanted to escape and I wanted to meet you so...this seemed like the best idea, " she said.
Kaitlyn looked back at Natalie and stuck her tongue out. She then turned back to the tv that she had now chosen a channel on.
Daniel chuckled "Oh, I can tell how much you two absolutely adore every second of your lives in an enclosed space for almost a day and a half." He spoke sarcastically as he looked over at Natalie and then at Kaitlyn, and then right back to Natalie again. Well... I hope you don't mind, this is only a two bedroom place, if you guys are wanting to share a room, if you even dare, or one of you can stay with me or something." He spoke looking at the two again for an answer.
Daniel chuckled a bit at the two with a soft smile and said "Well, decide before tonight." He stood as he spoke the sentence and went into the kitchen to grab some water.
Natalie nodded and closed her eyes again. Kaitlyn turned back to the tv and watched it. She knew her sister would be out before long and as she counted to three in her mind, she heard Natalie's breathing even out and sighed. She guessed that she could've been a little easier, after all she had annoyed her the whole way there.
Daniel soon came back with 3 glasses of water, setting one on the table in front of Kaitlin and he smiled at her before sitting down setting a glass for Natalie on the table between them. He sat back to see what Kaitlin was watching, but wasn't truly interested in what ever cartoon it was and looked back at Natalie for a moment before looking around, feeling a bit awkward for some sense.
