Fantasy When Olympus Burns: Overview & Lore

Overview
Rules

No sexism, racism, or discrimination of any kind unless it's in character to a degree.

Everyone has a say stated by the rules here. Don't feel shy if you have an issue with how things are going with another person or the role play itself. Open up a private conversation and bring up your concerns in a polite manner. Better to get it off your chest rather than let it build up, even if I'm the problem.

Do not invalidate the posts of others, nobody likes that, it makes people feel sad...and angry. For example invalidating a post would be.
Billy: My character winks at yours then walks off to buy their mother milk.

Mandy: Before Billy could wink, Mandy punched him in the face. “Who do you think you are?” She makes sure to hold him on the ground because lol why not.

You basically made every other action that should have happened like buying the milk invalid.

Character Deaths

Yes, characters can die. Your character is in danger of dying if you're not careful, I'm pretty realistic/fair with this in my Greek rps. Once you're putting a character in a position to checkmate them ( kill them ) you put up this symbol ( ! ) at the beginning of your post. That symbol for the reader means that their character is in danger of dying from something in that post and if they aren't careful or escape the death threat, the other person has the right to either spare or kill off the character. For example

Meanie: ( ! ) Meanie raises their gun now that they've trapped Victim in a corner. This corner was within a hedge maze. The meanie was about to shoot since they had nowhere else to go.

Victim: Victim turns around and climbs up the hedge, escaping the situation they were thought to be trapped in and hops over the hedge wall. ( That would save them from the death threat )

Victim: “Please don't shoot.” ( That's not escaping mostly because the person behind the victim couldn't think of a crafty way to escape the situation or their character personality wise is built to not be that perceptive and is really depending on the opposing character's personality. Hopefully the other characters personality isn't that of a killer but someone who can be convinced not to shoot )

Get it? Hopefully you do because this applies to everyone, even me. ( Please don't kill me )

Rank
IMG_1156.PNG

Every character is ranked by the Greek alphabet. There is only one person per rank. The Alpha leads all the others and calls the shots when there isn't an order from Gaea. You can move up or down in rank by beating others in a challenge that both sides must accept, whatever the challenge may be. The challenge can go from a battles to best speeches. The Alpha can be impeached. If there is indisputable evidence of an Alpha failing as a leader, an impeachment can be started once the Beta declares the Alpha to be unfit. After this 15 out of the 24 must vote against the Alpha for them to be impeached.

Setting

The underground living quarters.

The boats can take you to different areas in the underground city. The houses are for the kids and the castle in front of the mountain is the living place of Rhea, their care taker.

The boat can take them to a large forested island. This island is used for mock battles, training, or simply for exploration. Inbetween the sword beacons is a teleporter that can take you above ground.

There is another teleporter that plants the kids down on Earth once they use the sword beacon teleporter. This teleporter is a floating mobile crescent metal unit. Currently it's hovering above mountain pointing the beam down there.

Lore
The Kids

When the kids ended up in the underground city when they were 12, they came across Rhea. Rhea assured them that they were safe and taking them away from their parents was for the best. After showing them the truth about their parents. The evil they've committed and their intentions. Along with a dash of showing them how horrible their fate would have been alongside them. She taught them about Gaea and her love, almost as if teaching them about a new religion rather than the reality around them. To the kids, Gaea never appeared. They would only receive her word through scrolls Rhea would receive from her and bestow upon the children. Rhea was never allowed to see or know about these messages within these scrolls. In all honesty, both Rhea and the children were carrying out orders based off of blind faith. Faith in a being they had never seen before yet never disobey.

These children were raised around each other and train around each other. They have a deep familiarity with the powers of one another and know who can be depended on for what because of it. They're child elites who can be closely tied to mercenaries for Gaea. If they were needed for spying, fighting, infiltration, or assassination they'd be up for the task.
