Quiet
Local Furry Goes 'Awoo'
Chiaki Kadoya of the Wood Style.
Gender: Male. (?) Age: Twenty-nine. (?) Village: Amegakure. Rank: Jonin.
Personality:
Chiaki Kadoya is a man of great mystery to others and especially to himself as a result of a very peculiar history and a strangely severe case of retrograde amnesia that had left his own life a puzzle to him. He has never let this lack of knowledge of himself keep him down, however. His demeanor is almost entirely calm at all times, never thinking to raise his voice beyond the volume necessary to speak to his protegees. He is a polite man when required to be, modest and not arrogant in any means and even somewhat capable of being a little charismatic when it aids him in some way or another.
While not outwardly rude, Chiaki's near perpetual apathy causes him to act rather blunt about sensitive issues, such as the tension in the air of Amegakure as the Kage pushes the shinobi harder and harder with every passing day. To his students, his desire for excellency from new genin can certainly afford him some scoffs and some insults behind his back. But the push he exudes, unlike the push from the Amekage, comes from a place of belief in his subordinates; the faith that they can exceed the expectations set before them with flying colours. Chiaki is not the type of man to openly show his pain, his fear, or his melancholy. Instead, internalizing it until he can be by himself or he can open up to someone he trusts without any doubt. His lack of open feeling and his tendency to shirk the emotions of his allies earned him the title of "Chiaki of the Wooden Personality." Deep down, he does feel a little cheery and proud whenever someone he has faith in does right by him. Not that that person will ever know they made him happy. He'll take it to his grave if he must.
Chiaki is known to spend his time investigating the lost mysteries of the shinobi world, ranging from the history of the most forgotten ninjutsu to his own missing and fragmented past. It's the thrill of answers that keep him going.
History:
Belonging to the small and very obscure Kadoya clan of Kusagakure, Chiaki was born destined to be a Shinobi of great proportion. Though he does not remember his history very well due to a severe case of retrograde amnesia, the documents left behind indicated that his scores and graduation age within the Hidden Grass's academy far surpassed any other within the history of their walls and cemented his place as one of the most talented shinobi of the modern age in the village of Kusagakure. Chiaki's own realization to that came when his own strange mastery of the rare bloodline trait Wood Release came into emergence. With no one experienced in the nature style within his village or any others outside of Konohagakure's own Senju clan; to which even that was a rarity, Chiaki took it upon himself to shape his talents on his own and essentially re-pioneer the techniques involved with the art.
The next years of Chiaki's life became hazy, though it is assumed he was a strong shinobi that was well on his way to helping Kusagakure become a more respected nation among the Five Great Shinobi Countries. Unfortunately, any opportunity of that happening ran cold and stagnant when Chiaki Kadoya went rogue from the village and became a missing-nin, his motivations unclear and mysterious even to this day.
The rogue kunoichi found himself later somewhere outside of Kusagakure's country, waking up on a strange metal slab in a strange abandoned housing facility unable to remember even his birthdate. He found himself afflicted with a severe case of amnesia, seemingly incurable as he relearned his life through strange documents left spread before him, and a painful curse mark on his left shoulder blade, a mark he never learned the inner workings of and never worried much too care. The missing-nin wasted no time reequipping his arms and vanishing from the facility without a trace, spending the next three year fearful and on the run from hunter-nin and mercenaries looking to collect the price on his head for desertion. Chiaki traveled around the world seeking sanctuary. For a brief time, he found a home within one of the smallest sage sanctuaries within the shinobi world: the Zetsuen Outback in the Land of Wind and, though he lacked the capacity to achieve Sage training at the time, he made a blood contract with the spider princess, Jorogumo.
Chiaki's travels eventually landed him within the confines of Amegakure, where he would find assistance and pardon by the newfound Amekage in return for his service to the Hidden Rain Village. Without much reason to actively disagree and potentially face the dangers of remaining a missing-nin, he became a shinobi under the banner of the Hidden Rain and pledged his service and life to protecting the ideals of the village and its resident Amekage, if only out of personal necessity rather than legitimate patriotism.
