I'm getting back into forum RP, and I'd like some new friends to do so with.
A little about me:
I've been RPing and writing since I was a young boy of about 13 years, I've been active in all sorts of RP, from forum to MMOs, to RPGs and even tabletops. I'm fairly experienced in RP, as you can see, and have extensive experience in writing long, detail paragraphs of 10+ paragraphs, and can be very committed to a story once I begin. I've built quite a few worlds, two of which I'm currently writing novels based in with one currently being worked on while the second waits its turn. I've written most of the RP events for one of the biggest Tauren only guild on Wyrmrest Accord, Broken Horn Tribe, which I was and still am the GM of. (We're currently on hiatus until BfA comes out.) My fingers are itching to write once again! >
Now that I sound like a pretentious jerk, here's the nitty-gritty of what you want:
Of the genres, I am strong in writing, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and action/adventure. And like all writers, I do have my weak points, and just purely drama, romance, and slice of life RPs are difficult for me. I don't particularly like purely drama because it's just not something I vibe with, and usually, my writing in such comes out as lifeless and has little to no passion. The same goes for romance and slice of life RPs, and I find if there's actual structure in these, then it's easier, i.e. exposition, rising action, climax falling action, and resolution. Of course, I'm not against writing in these genres, just know that I'm not the best when to comes to purely these genres. I don't mind them if they're included in the ones I excel at, and actually find I prefer my fantasy, sci-fi, etc. if they have some sort of romance, slice of life or drama in them, ironically.
I am also looking for someone who meets, exceeds or just under my skill level, and can write detailed posts. I know this is a bit of a strict requirement, and I really don't mind if you have a short paragraph every once in a while, but I do prefer the longer ones simply because it's how my brain works. The more detail, the more vivid the world is in my head, and thus the better I can write and RP. I also don't mind those willing to try to write outside of their comfort level and get better at writing more detailed posts. I'm just here for the enjoyment of writing with others.
On the subject of story prompts, I have quite a few we can write if they strike your fancy or I'm open to your ideas as well.
