The lunatic Fringe
Kurt,

Kurt yawned his way out of bed and looked out the window towards the school, of course he couldn't see the school from here but he knew the direction it was in. Obviously. He slipped out of his large stylish and cozy warm bed to head for his closet. Equally as stylish. Of course. It was always important to be stylish at every moment of every day. Just in case since you never know. Kurt took a lot of advice from musicals, and in Aida they make it clear ;

"From your cradle via trousseau to your death bed you're on view, so

Never compromise, accept no substitute"

Kurt hummed to the song sung by Amneris from the Elton John and Tim Rice version. Of course. Rachel was picking him up today, he dressed it down to be casual in a sweater and tight jeans topped off with combat boots and a infinity scarf.

Blaine

It was an ordinary morning for Blaine Anderson. He woke up and showered, singing a song to himself as he did. Everything in his life seemed to be finally falling into place. He had made great new friend at McKinley High school, his Glee teacher was amazing, and he had a handsome and most amazing boyfriend ever. Just thinking of Kurt brought a huge grin to his face. After his shower, Blaine hopped out and dried ironing his outfit for the day; a peach colored button up shirt with short sleeves, a dark blue sweater vest, and black skinny jeans with black dress shoes.

He dried his hair and fixed it up with gel. After he was done, he ate a banana and brushed his teeth before getting into his car and driving to school, where he would meet up with Kurt and Rachel.

___

Rachel

Rachel had been up for awhile, but she just spent the past 45 minutes sitting in front of her mirror, brushing through her brunette locks. It had been a week since Finn broke up with her, but it was truly for the best, not matter how much it hurt. She was just glad she had such good friends to help her through it, and she knew she would make through. She finally decided it was time to get up and get ready, so she put on a pair of black tights, a long sleeve white dress with black polka dots and her white flats. She straightened her hair and put in a white headband. She then put on some natural colored make-up and brushed her teeth.

After grabbing her school books and her purse, she took the keys to her car and headed to Kurt's house. She honked the horn and waited for him to come out. The song, "Teardrops on my Guitar' by Taylor Swift came on the radio and she sang it softly to herself, wiping a stray tear off her cheek.

Kurt

Kurt smiled as he slipped into Rachel's car. Then he frowned. "Taylor swift? Really Rachel?" He flicked through the radio, looking for a more appropriate break up song. "Finn is my step brother but Rachel you have to be.... ah here we go." He settled on 'You ought to know' by Alanis Morrisett. "See better!" He flicked his sunglasses off his forehead and onto his eyes before checking his phone waiting for Blaine to text him.

Rachel & Blaine

"Taylor Swift has awesome songs about break-ups, its like she can read my soul." Rachel said with a sigh. She smiled effortlessly when he changed the song. "You always knew how to change my mood." She said. She started the car up and headed to McKinley high jamming out to the song with Kurt. They were at the school moments later and she parked next to Blaine, who was leaning against his car, browsing through his phone. he glanced up when they pulled up and smiled. "Rachel, Kurt." He said, giving Kurt a hug and small peck.

They all headed inside and to Glee Club. The gang was all there, and right behind them came Mr. Schuester. "Alright, this weeks assignment will be the greatest band of all time..." he paused to write something on the chalk board. "The Beatles." He said, turning to face everyone. Rachel peeked over at Finn, he also glanced at her but looked away when she caught him. Why couldn't she get over him? Sighing, she turning back to face Mr. Schue. Kurt and Blaine were sitting in the top row, and only Sam and here were on the bottom row.

Sam

Sam caught the weird look-but-not-look between Finnchel. He smiled at Rachel. "Beatles right?" He moved his hair from his eyes. "I could be Ringo, I have the hair for it." He scooted a little closer to talk to Rachel, he hated to see her down, he didn't like it when people were sad. Mr. Schue gave him a be-quiet-it's-Beatles-week look and went back to saying.... something about bounds and how the Beatles were brothers not band mates and Sam had to take a moment to think about why his inner monologue had a problem with using too many dashes. Dude. It was insane. There were proper uses for dashes of different size and he was pretty sure they had names....m-dash and n-dash? p-dash? no there was no p-dash. Why did they use dashes in the names of dashes? CRAP, was Rachel talking?

Kurt

Kurt smiled when he saw Blaine and grabbed his hand and didn't let go until they had taken their places in the choir room, he lead Blaine to the back and pulled him into a seat laying his head on Blaine's chest. He scrunched up his nose when Mr. Schue announced the assignment, ugh, Kurt didn't have much against the Beatles but he felt they were really overrated. A whole week? Singing about submarines and diamonds in the sky? UGH

Rachel

Rachel smiled as Sam talked to her. "Yes, I like them, but Broadway is more down my alley." She said and she knew what song to sing. It would e towards Sam, wait did she just say towards Sam? Didn't she mean Finn? "Hold Your Hand" is a love song, why in the world would she sing a love song to Sam Evans? The jock with perfect hair but no brains, and stunning good looks. The way his blonde hair over his eyes sent something spiraling through Rachel, wait, was she doing it again? She found herself rambling about stuff, but she wasn't sure all she said, and thankfully neither did Sam.

Mr. Schue finished talking and dismissed them so they could continue on with regular classes, then meet that afternoon for whoever would be sharing their song first. "So, Sam. Do you know what you're singing yet?" She asked as she gathered her school books. She noticed Finn talking to Quinn and they seemed real close, but she told herself she would not get jealous. She couldn't, they were over, she had to finally accept that and move on.

Blaine

A warmness shot through Blaine when Kurt rested his head on his chest. Little moments like this he wanted to treasure forever. The lesson went on with Mr. Schue explaining what the Beatles were all about. Blaine would feel all the tension in the room, especially between Rachel and Finn, but he noticed something he hadn't before; an attraction. Attraction between Sam and Rachel. "Kurt, I have a faboulous idea. Tell you about it after school." He whispered to his boyfriend.

He was going to set Rachel and Sam up.

Sam

Sam smiled brightly and nodded at what Rachel said. Since he had no idea what she had said he decided he should say something about Broadway. That was a safe bet as to what she had said. right? No maybe he should mention Barbra Streisand. No wait that was the same thing? eh mention them both. "So Broadway Streisand, I mean hair right?" Wait no. That wasn't right at all. Ah he said something. A++ job Sam. No wait Hair was a musical! on Broadway and Barbra Streisand had Hair! He was a genius.

Kurt

Kurt looked up at Blaine. "Does it involve fashion? Or love? Both! OH IT BETTER INVOLVE BOTH." Kurt beamed at Blaine and looked around at people leaving he gave a brief wave at Finn, it was his signature I-hate-you-slash-see-you-at-home wave and stood up. He turned to Blaine. "So Beatles... hrm, should we do a duet of their hit song... you know the one... with the.... right?" Kurt headed for his locker looking up at Blaine.

(I know nothing about the Beatles. Neither does Kurt for the purpose of this.)

(I'll get my post up shortly, but maybe change it then to maybe Bruno Mars week? It'll be something new!)
{Okay! :D ]

Rachel

Rachel raised her brow at Sam. "Um, sure Sam." She said and shook her head. "I'll see you after classes." She said as she headed to her Geometry class. She stopped at her locker to get the books she needed and ended up bumping into Finn. "Oh, Rachel, hey." He said. Well, this was a little awkward. Quinn came from behind him, wrapping her arm into his. "Berry." She said, giving Rachel the stink eye. "Are, so you two are a thing again?" She asked. Finn didn't say anything, but of course Quinn did. "Yes, I guess he got tired of you're know-it-all attitude, your horribly style, and just you over all he came back to something worth his time." She said, resting her head on Finn's shoulder.

Rachel didn't say anything but just stormed off. The day ended just as soon as it started. Glee club came up and Rachel volunteered to go first. After talking to the piano man. He started playing the slow tune, and Rachel started singing "If I Fell".

Blaine

"Both." Blaine said with a wide grin. "Rachel and Sam. Did you not see the way the two were looking at each other in class?" He asked as they went to his locker. He had Spanish first block. "I was thinking we sing, Here Comes the Sun." He said as they walked to Kurt's class first. "Anyways, we'll talk more about the set-up later. I love you, and I will see you at lunch." He said, giving Kurt a kiss on the cheek before going to class.

Glee club came up and Blaine met back up with Kurt and they walked to class together. Everyone settled down and Rachel went up first, singing If I Fell. It was a beautiful song and she sang it beautifully herself.

Kurt

Kurt took his rightful place on Blaine's chest to listen to her sing. The lyrics were certainly inductive of being in love.. but then again most song's were. Kurt yawned and leaned further into Blaine. "Would you tell her if I feel asleep?" He asked playfully. He had just got out of a dreadful Calculus class and was pushing off the dredges of sleep leftover from the teacher's, musical and droning voice. He closed his eyes to listen to Blaine's beating heart and Rachel's song.

Sam

Sam's mouth was slightly open when he heard Rachel sing, when she finished he clapped like mad. He was planing to sing 'yellow submarine' ironically and dance stupidly. He couldn't do that after this! he shook his head and smiled up at her.

"Go Rachel!" which sounded less stupid in his head, sounded much stupider out loud.

Rachel

The emotions while she sang the song were real, which really helped in the song itself. After she was done, she got an applause and went to sit down a couple seats from Sam. No one else really stood up to sing something, so they all just sat there talking to each other, but Rachel by herself. Quinn and Santana were in the top row, Finn talking to Puck, Sam a few seats from her, and Kurt and Blain cuddled next to each other talking about something. Rachel couldn't really handle it so she got up and walked out, going straight for her locker to go home.

Blaine

Blaine chuckled and shook his head as Rachel continued to sing. When he finished, he clapped but no one seemed as enthused like Sam. Yep, there was for sure something going on, it was up to Kurt and him to just bring the two together. "Do you think they are meant to be together, Kurt?" He asked, looking down at Sam.
