Fantasy "What, ya don't know about magic?"

After getting isekai'd into another world, things started to go south for you and fast: it's taken you three months just to start to learn the language, you couldn't fend off the goblin raid, and you were taken captive into the goblin's dungeon. It's only sheer luck that someone came along to wipe them out- two someones, actually: a violet-haired mage with a blindfold, and a white-haired catgirl. The catgirl was the one who saved the captives, and everyone else ran home to their families, but there was something about the pair that caught your attention: the mage's magical tattoos, their unflinching nature, the catgirl somehow being able to serve tea to the dozens of captives out of one tea pot.

After the other captives left, just as the pair get ready to go, you decide to ask about the magic of this world.
"What, ya don't know about magic?" The Violet-haired girl answers, not turning your way. "And the way ya talk. Ya sure they're not a goblin, Em? Well, if ya can carry some of our stuff to town, I can tell ya what I know. We got a deal?" The catgirl was going to pull the wagon of supplies, but she's more than happy to take a break.
