Experiences What/Who is the single worst OC you've ever encountered?

Saw a thread about creating a terrible OC, and now I just wanna see what your worst experiences are. Now I've created some cringey OC's, but I don't just want cringe: I want the absolutely worst, most shallow, development-empty mary-sued-to-shit characters in existence! We're looking for the worst of the worst!

Oh, and uh, have fun. I guess.

ALSO: credit to this dude's thread! Check it out!

one of the worst OC encounters I had was in a pirate-themed RP. This guy must've watched too much One-piece or something because he had his character just stroll out onto the dockyard and basically fist fight an entire cadre of armed guards (sabers and flintlocks) and walk away without a scratch. Then looks up to see if the pirate captain has noticed just how awesome they were so they could be immediately recruited into their crew. Forget the fact that the pirate captain was just on deck and was obviously NOT flying their colors while in port (lest they be immediately arrested). There was no reason for anyone not already in the crew to know that they were pirates.

When given a chance to make their post more realistic, the player threw a little bitch fit and left the RP.

Hehehehehe, oh no, I have so many awful characters I'm glad didn't see the light of day. Okay... well, a few have and dhfaodifhasodifa

Anyway, I had this Digimon character I made when I was 15. She had... so many awful shit. xD Let me get the character sheet out for her. I haven't changed anything besides grammar mistakes and taking out some other TW-worthy things like... uhh...

Cutting.

But I also sent this to a Bad RP Contest on another RP site in 2018 and ended up winning with a 98/100. XD lol Not sure how I feel about that.

I only RPed her once with someone, but they ended up ghosting me and I'm glad they did. I didn't give them her entire history, but when they realized she was the epitome of edgy and horrible romanticization of topics like psychosis, depression, being ana-skinny without having ana, and other horrible tragedy things like loss of parents, they left. And I feel bad that I even made her. XD I also was obsessed with yin-yang.

What's worse is that I still use the name I gave her because I'm original and if they have a similar personality, I'll give her either Sara or Shade as a name. XD At least those characters are three-dimensional and actually.. you know... don't romanticize actual trauma and mental illnesses. XD

Goodness, my mind was horrible at such a young age. xD

Human
Name:
Shadara “Shade” Lyria-Mitne Darastrix
Age: 20 years old
Description: She has pale skin, long platinum blonde hair that stops at her mid-back, and light silver eyes that change color depending on her mood (and also her Digicore gifted from Babamon and Jijimon). The strands of hair that are on the sides of her face are usually pulled back into a ponytail and these strands of hair are black, giving off a sharp contrast. She usually has a feather attached behind her ears, and the feather is white with a black dot in the center of it. She almost always wears a locket in the shape of a heart with a yin-yang like symbol on it, and it has the picture of her family, which are her 2 twin sisters, 3 brothers she’s in a quadruplet of, her baby brother, and her parents. She wears a black t-shirt with a dark grey hoodie, and black pants with black shoes and dark grey soles. She has a tattoo of the yin-yang symbol on her left shoulder blade. She has a tattoo in the form of a name in cursive, “Samantha” in honor of her stillborn. She also has stretch marks from a previous pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage. She is also incredibly skinny, where she'd be anorexic, but she isn't.
Personality: She is very quiet and mysterious when she doesn’t know the person, but once she sees something she is passionate about or once she gets to know the person, she becomes a little obnoxious but also very funny. She is likable, goofy, knowledgeable, curious, optimistic, caring and wishes for the best for people, unless they anger her, then she wishes for the worst for those people. She is mentally unstable, due to the trauma she had to go through, and she may snap at inopportune times. When something angers her greatly, or if someone rubs her the wrong way, her pupils will dilate smaller and she will have a crazed look on her face. She will spit out words of hatred at the person, something she probably wouldn’t do, and she may hurt that person depending on how much they hurt her or how much they hurt the person she’s protecting. She will attack viciously with teeth, claws, fists, knees, elbows, legs, arms, anything just as long as it hurts the person. It takes a great deal of yelling at her to come back to her senses. Afterwards, she will feel extremely sorry and will feel so guilty she falls into the pit of depression. When this happens, she seems overly happy to make up for it and she doesn’t want people to worry about her. Otherwise, she’s very sweet and protective and will do her best to cheer someone up, or help. When she is angry, she will seem cold and/or distant or will start yelling at the person, and if they keep bugging her or hitting her nerves, she will snap. She has gone through many things, making her empathetic and sympathetic. She believes in opposition in all things, meaning that if she does something good she will do bad later. This is conflicted when she feels like she has to balance her actions but the only people to do that would be with her friends or family.
Digivice: Digivice Burst; black/white with grey screen and platinum ring. (Can hold up to 10 Digimon)
Armour Digi-Eggs: Digieggs of Courage, Friendship, Love, Knowledge, Hope, Reliability, Sincerity, Light, Kindness, Miracles, Destiny, Darkness, Desire, Lust, and Vanity.
Partner: Dorumon, Culumon, Coronamon, Lunamon, Guilmon, Ryudamon, Renamon
Equipment: Has a silver pocket knife with a black handle and safety case that is kept on her pant loop, and has a black backpack that has her inventions (Digiportal opener/closer) and other miscellaneous items (sketch book, colored pencils, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, a journal, some food, some rope, crowbar, and anything else she finds around the place that could be useful to her)
History:
She once lived in a forest with her family. Her 3 older brothers are, from oldest to youngest, Pyros, Miel, and Stror. They were part of a quadruplet with her, and she was the youngest out of the three. Then, after they were born, a year went by and her twin sisters, Catrina and Lorenza, were born. Then another year passed, and Poito was born, their baby brother. Her parents, Daskar and Lyria, were loving parents. Daskar and Lyria were scientists that were helping Commander Sampson and Commander-General Yushima, and they left their children in the care of Daskar’s brother, Dragostea, also called Drago. They didn’t expect for Shade, a smart 4-year-old girl, to follow them on their expedition to the digital world. The team was a little angry at the parents, but Shade had said in her best English that she stowed away herself. They believed her for the most part, and Sampson took care of her while her parents were out collecting data. Shade got an uneasy feeling from one of the scientists, called Akihiro Kurata.

Her feelings were correct when he panicked at the sight of a Digimon. She moved in front of the Digimon to save it, and the bullet pierced her heart. The Lynxmon, that frightened Kurata, ran off into the bushes but watched her from them. Her parents were stricken with worry and anger and they huddled around their dying daughter. Babamon and Jijimon, a couple of Digimon that have been watching the team in secret, came up to them and fashioned an adaptable Digicore out of the surrounding environment and out of their own Digicores, and put the new Digicore in her heart, covering up the wound and stopping the blood from flowing out, eventually completely healing her wound. Her parents were astounded and thanked the Digimon pair and Digimon pair bowed and left. Kurata was stunned at what he just did, but also how courageous she was. Daskar, while Lyria was holding the tired-out Shade, suddenly snapped and cursed out Kurata. Sampson and the rest of the team had to hold them back before a bloody fight to the death happened.

A few days later, Shade was back on her feet again and running around and playing. One evening, when the science team left to go into the forest to gather data, Shade followed them. The team dispersed, and only her parents and Kurata were left in the forest’s edge. Shade watched with curiosity with what her parents were studying, but she got a bad gut feeling. She went to see what Kurata is doing, but finds him holding up a shovel over her parents’ heads. She screamed as the shovel went down on their heads, knocking them out and he proceeded to bash their heads in while Shade watched in absolute horror. Kurata then saw her, and then advanced towards her with the bloodied shovel. The scientist team came back and Sampson and Yushima ran over to the sound of the screaming and see Kurata over the dead bodies of Shade’s parents. Shade released some digital energy, calling forth a Digimon on accident. A Digiegg appeared above her and hatched, and a Dodomon hopped out of the egg and landed in her lap. It snuggled her belly and she smiled and giggled. The cute little legless Digimon looked up at Kurata, then hopped up to the shovel’s handle and bit down hard and broke the shovel. It then proceeded to bite his shoe. Kurata was enraged and tried to stomp the little guy off, but Shade grabbed his leg, and with strength she didn’t know she had, pushed him on his backside. Everybody was looking on in astonishment. Kurata saw all the faces and then he got up and ran away. Shade now only has the locket to remember them by and cried on their dead bodies. They chased after him after they buried their partners, and found him in the den of a bunch of SaberLeomons. He used an invention to escape, and they all followed suit, however, Shade didn’t want to leave, so she stayed with Spencer Damon. He was a great father-figure for her and together they both tamed the Digimon of the cave.

With the mass amounts of energy Shade was given off, her Dodomon digivolved into Dorimon, and then again into Dorumon after Shade’s energy materialized a Digivice Burst in front of her. Her balance of emotions, of anger and optimism, as well as determination to tie them together, helped Dorumon digivolved again into Dorugamon. Because of the mass of powerful energy emanating from such a small individual, especially at 4 years of age, and the ability for the Digimon to withstand 3 digivolutions in one day, the SaberLeomons stopped attacking them, and Spencer went along on his way to find the leader of the region, who is known as Merukimon. Shade would go along with him, but she wanted to stay with her partner for a little longer and explore the Digital World. She took to the skies and lived in the Digital World for 10 more years.

After she had her mini adventures in the Digital World and the making of her little inventions, she can feel the veil between the Digital World and the human world thinning. This was very apparent to her when Dorumon got sucked into the human world and she was too late on getting through the portal when it closed. She got the help of Coronamon and Lunamon, and their little partner to help them evolve, Culumon, to find Dorumon. Culumon and Shade used their combined energy to evolve Coronamon into Firamon, and Lunamon into Lekismon. This tired out Shade and Culumon, but they rode on Firamon with Lekismon hopping beside them to find Dorumon. Shade created a portal into the human world and began searching. They finally found Dorumon, but there was a Digimon keeping her captive, and it was a Black WarGarurumon. Even with the effort of Lekismon and Firamon, the captor was too difficult for them, so Shade used to the Digivice and her balance of emotions to digivolve her Dorumon to the Ultimate level, into Dorugreymon. It was successful, and they beat the evil Digimon, but Shade passed out. After Dorugreymon turned back into a Dorumon, she used the portal device to put the egg in and take care of her. Coronamon, Lunamon, and Culumon stay with her and eventually join her as partners.

There was at one point, while she was still in the human world with her Digimon partners, she got pissed and snapped, and ran from her Digimon partners so she doesn’t hurt them. She regained her sanity, but she was deep in gang territory and she couldn’t find her Digimon partners anywhere. A gang member saw her and raped her, getting her pregnant, since she was on her period that day (yea, she was 14). She passed out and woke up in a forest, with her Digimon partners surrounding her. They asked what happened and she finally remembered what happened, and held her stomach. She told them that she was raped and got pregnant. They asked her how she knew, and she said that her period stopped afterwards and that she can feel that. For 6 months, they took care of her, but one morning Shade got extremely sick. Because of this sickness, the baby got affected and she began into labor a little too early. Dorumon knew this and became very sad and shocked. Dorumon helped her give birth, and asked her if she would like to hold her stillborn. Shade nodded and held her baby and cried the entire day and night. She finally fell asleep, but woke up from the feeling of restlessness and began digging a grave for her baby in the spot she gave birth in, under an oak tree. She laid the baby to rest under the oak tree and covered her up, and cried even more, eventually falling asleep on the grave.

Once she turned 18, she got the yin-yang tattoo on her shoulder blades. She also has a tattoo of the baby’s name, Samantha, on her wrist in cursive. When she was 14 turning 15, she can feel the veil between the two worlds strengthen, and she goes back into the Digital World, taking her siblings with her after a very happy reunion. They even get partners and Digivice Bursts of their own.
Powers: She can summon any and all Digimon, has digivolved her Digimon to all Digimon they can become in their trees, and can materialize Digimon parts from the atmosphere of the Digital World, and is known to Yggdrasil as the guardian of the Digital World at the age of 13. She can also become any Digimon in the Digital World.

Thank you XD I have accepted the fact I have made horrible shit, and I am glad I have moved on from it and make decent characters. XD Then again, I was in a weird mindset then and I was doing that for attention and getting out the crappy crap from my head from my days obsessing over Creepypasta for a few years. XD She was my first Digimon OC too, and I usually make my first OC going into any fandom into a Mary Sue to check out the power levels, and then I read more on the power levels of the fandom and shave off a few things (or like an entire arm and a leg) to give my character a new look, new more stable powers that actually make sense and not just ripoffs of other characters and making them their own character, while also giving them a personality and history that actually fits. xD But with that one, I gave up on and completely just made a new character with a whole different name and personality xD and looks.

She was also supposed to be the romantic love interest of Thomas in DATS Squad, but obviously that never went anywhere and I feel bad for the poor canon character I shipped her with. XD

ngl, I dont know a damn thing about digimon. But I could tell the whole thing was just over the top.

I'm sure I had my fair share of absolute shit characters. But I regularly purge anything that I can't salvage into something workable. Otherwise I'd have 20 years of files to sort through.

I think that EVERYONE has had to of made some terrible characters at some time in their RP life. The ones that haven't... are liars!
lol

Oh definitely.

I still remember every single awful character I've made and I can get into surprising detail.

Like, there was this one who was a romantic interest for Mewtwo. She's human. Luckily, she's of legal age, but she's also part of every species of Pokemon, can use Pokemon moves, can use aura like a Lucario, and uh... Yeah. XD She's also a better nurse than Nurse Joy, and can understand Pokemon and talk like them and immediately befriend one, no matter the temperament or their idea of people before.

yea, awful. xD

yikes!
wait... she's part of all 150 OG pokemon? I dont even wanna know how that happened. For starters... that means someone had to of initially got together with-

...I'm not even gonna go there

Oh, at the time when I made her, there was 496 Pokemon, including the Pokemon God Arceus himself.

Yes, she was also part of all Legendaries and Mythicals and she can call upon their help any time. :/

If I made her and kept up the Mary Sue energy, she'd be part of every single Pokemon from the games Red and Blue (Gen I) to Sword and Shield (Gen VIII) including all the regional variants, Ultra Beasts (basically extra-dimensional alien Pokemon), and the new Pokemon slated to come out for Pokemon Legends: Arceus. XD

So the question begs to be asked... was she hatched?

How I made her was her being an experiment from Team Rocket, she got out and killed a few people getting out. She hates people for abusing Pokemon, but at the time I made her tolerant of people in her behavior and she had this giant hollow tree she uses as her base.

She also shouldn't know academic things and just have street smarts, but I also gave her book smarts as well as my teenaged understanding of street smarts. XD LOL which was basically giving her omnipotent sixth senses LOL She also should have shit for social awareness and understanding, but she knows how to talk to people and just sounds like a regular girl. You wouldn't know she was an experiment from how she talked to you, only thinking she was living out with the Pokemon for a little too long. You'd think she'd also have parents too, not born from a test tube.

Oh yeah, also made her transform into Pokemon and form Pokemon wings and clawed gauntlets and body parts out of her aura, covering her body like chakra armor, so she is essentially a walking mix-match girl with Pokemon powers. :3

yup xD

So the question begs to be asked... was she hatched?

PFFF more like...... grown. XD in a chemical, hormonal bath.

Also, because she's part Ditto and Mew... She can transform into anything organic.

That's fun.

But my original idea for her was to give her parents and be an only child, so she got her powers by happenstance and no reason whatsoever. She was just slated to have a bunch of these powers. xD

and her parents think it's normal. XD LOL and don't care what she does. XD and they still love her, too. So when someone asks how she's part Pokemon, she literally says "well, back then Pokemon and people could get married. But that's like hundreds of years ago and told of in folklore because people were similar to Pokemon in a way." XD but yea. xD

Merciless Medic Merciless Medic I think i had made a Team Rocket character at some point. Like, in addition to Jesse/James, and Butch/Cassidy... i had... shit.. I forget her name. But it was something Star. I forget what her partners name was. It followed the same theme as the wild west outlaw bit. I dont remember her backstory being particularly bad. But it wasnt particularly good either.

I also made a Team Rocket no-nonsense character named Darcy Higgins. Hated it when people called her Darce, she was incredibly strict and aggressive, cold and callous, and very good at what she does. She doesn't have the history yet, but she's an actually decent character with her signature Pokemon being an Arbok. Because snakes :3

Also, I saw that joke, and that was hilarious. XD Not kidding, also one of those myself. PFFFF XD Disney did not help me whatsoever. Actually, you can blame Disney XD

Star reminds me of those generic cat names that combine a verb and an object. LOL XD but people put [insert verb here] 'star' as their human names and make them think they are a cat. PFFF

but hey, at least she was... semi-decent. XD LOL

clearly, she was forgettable. lmao

Google be praised! The outlaw name was Belle Starr. That's what I had used for the partnered duo. I guess her partner was another female? I honestly dont remember that much about the partner. Didnt give em a whole lot of spotlight. But the entirety of the character concept existed in 1st gen only.

Clearly forgettable XD I've made pretty...... average characters I end up forgetting. XD

but that's interesting :3

(I also edited and merged my last two posts together and added more to it XD)

I DO blame Disney for that. AND Werner Bros. alike

ugh... dont get me started on twilight. If Bella was an OC, I could totally post her up in this topic as a prime example

Technically, the author said Bella was based on aspects of her, but made better. Whatever that means. XD

So, she's pretty close to an OC. I mean, isn't every character in a published book an OC? Just for reading and not for RPing with though?

Like, the characters gotta come from somewhere. Some inspiration, some personal stuff from the author, and from the author's own mind, making it an original character.

You're just reading about them and not interacting with them though and you gotta pay to experience them. but it also does make her a canon character, but the term canon is just there to separate fan work from the paid source work. xD that's it, really.

I mean, that means Spongebob is an original character of the company that started the TV series, Master Chief from Halo is an original character from Bungie, Bella is an original character from Twilight series' author, but if you add fan work to the source material, they become canon character to differentiate.

But I do know what this thread is for. XD It's for RP OCs specifically. But still, making a good point here. XD

I'm way off topic. XD anyway

That IS a very good point, but also very much off topic. lmao
I guess everything is an original character until you get published.
Probably should leave off before admin comes by with a newly sharpened axe for our heads >.> <.<
Anyhow, it was nice talking to you again. I had a few good convos with you before my last hiatus. ;-)
(gotta go work on an entry now b4 i gtg)

Awww thank you :3

we should though lol XD

Nice talking to you again too. :3 thank you, I enjoy talking with you, too :3

anyway, let's see if I have another character I can scrounge up........... Oh yeah, a Harry Potter character who had the animagus of a dragon, the patronus of a dragon, and because she fit with the core ideals of the four houses equally, the sorting hat took an hour to decide before finally Dumbledore had to come in and make a deal with her to swap between the houses every year. XD

I'm somewhat glad my first character CS was lost to the void. It involved an ancient dragon who could shoot lazers who also had human form. It used a long sword in human form and I think some Air magic too. It was a ridiculously long CS with bio and descriptions of all attacks with names that I don't remember at this point but I remember the GM of the rp laughing at it and saying it was ridiculous so they didn't want to accept it. Probably accepted to see who was that insane person who wrote all that. Which kinda discouraged me from using it ever again and from making long character sheets too. XD It was my first roleplay where I learned to tone my characters down lol

Awww saaaame though XD

I made a character, also named Shadara "Shade" Lyria-Mitne Darastrix. Same kind of shape-shifting stuff with all sorts of ways to copy the abilities and attacks of everyone. Including ones that normally couldn't be copied. Super old, yet still immature for no reason. Also, Shade was a extra-dimensional dragon who was the "key" to the multiverse of everything fandom I was in, and therefore its guardian and had to be part of all the creatures of every universe and be capable of using all powers, including unique ones and having unique ones of her own, making the canon characters useless. And she'd commonly unite the protags and rivals effortlessly, sometimes the antagonists, and then fight a big bad that nobody had a chance of even hurting but my character, so they all just kind of stayed on the sidelines and watched lol XD awful character that one. My wish fulfillment power trip phase was awful XD

Luckily, I was like 8-12 and I never had her in any online RP due to being kept from chat sites. Honestly, glad. XD

Hahaha it's interesting how so many people go through similar phases in bad rp characters XD

This was in a group crime roleplay. The girl running it was SUPER pushy about replies and would ban you from the server if you questioned anything they said or did. They complained that I was only roleplaying with one member of the group so I start up a short roleplay with her OC.
I guess her OC was meant to be funny but she was just annoying. My character is deaf but can lip read, but her OC didn't know what lip reading was and asked if it meant she could tell her future from looking at her lips. She also thought getting clothing second-hand was stealing clothes with both of your hands. She got mad when I stopped replying but her OC was unbearable. She was meant to be an antagonist, too, but I can't imagine her being intelligent enough to pull off the crimes the main characters were standing up against.
