Akashic Records and Alderamin on the Sky: A military war RP where combatants utilize magic to win wars.

Psyren and Hell Girl: People are warped to hell by a mysterious girl. They're granted pyshic powers and they must deal with the horrors of the underworld.

Koi to Uso and Lain: In a world that allows virtual connection, many people find it difficult to socially interact in reality. Therefore, everyone is assigned a partner to connect/marry with for the rest of their life.

Death Note and Ghost in a Shell: A virus submitted by a computer can kill cyborgs rapidly. A majority of the population has some sort of technological modification, making them cyborgs. The virus was created by a Shinigami.

Pokémon and Attack on Titan: Instead of killing Titans, people capture Titans and do battle with them.

Dragonball Z and Ajin: Immortal aliens descended onto earth with incredible powers. They do battle with one another on the earth.

After thinking it through, I think that you'll have to do a lot to make Attack on Titan and Pokémon go together because they are very very different.

Well that's the first step. What if the Pokemon fought the Titans? That, to me, makes more sense.

Alright. What changes would make these two blend together?

Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Shugo Chara maybe...? They're both essentially magical girl anime, but the former is much darker. Some spoilers ahead.

In PMMM, an alien goes to prepubescent girls in their greatest moment of weakness and offers to grant a wish that they have, and in exchange, they have to fight soul-eating entities called witches. It's revealed later on that when granting their wishes, the alien tears their souls out of their bodies and condenses the souls into a gem. If the gem is destroyed, the girl dies. Also, their gems become corrupted whenever the magical girls start to fall into despair or use their magic too much, and if they don't clean their gems, they turn into witches themselves.

Shugo Chara is much more light-hearted, and it's the more typical magical girl anime (though boys can transform too). The characters in Shugo Chara have a Guardian Character (I think that's what they're called. It's been a while since I've watched it). The Guardian Characters are hatched from an egg that emerges when a person (I believe they're usually young children and teens) has a strong desire to pursue a dream or change themselves. However, if the egg's owner becomes burdened by doubts, it's possible for the Guardian Character to return into the egg and turn into an X-egg, which is basically a smol ball of anger that attacks people. Unlike the transformation into a witch in PMMM though, the transformation into an X-egg is reversible. Interestingly, not everyone who has a Guardian Character is capable of transforming.

I think the concept of the soul gem and the guardian eggs (both coming out of a person's body) is similar, but the stark differences that exists between them could be fun to explore if there's a crossover.

Unfortunately, I haven't found any RP groups using those sources of inspiration, but I can recommend a few fanfictions, if you need ideas on how to start a Cory in the House and Shrek hybrid RP.
