Thorn Darkblade

I know lots of things. Lots of things...
So, I've had several ideas that either launched and failed due to inactivity on mine and/or my players, or just never launched due to lack of interest. I have time now, but only for ONE. Whatever gets the most interest AND dedicated players will be the one I run.

The specifics will be under each title, but a few general rules:

-I am enrolled full time in college, so, I won't be making dozens of posts a day. That said, I will try to post at least once to twice a day, and will try not to go more than 2 to 3 days of no posts without an update to my players of why

-My players should be able to post as often as me. I'm pretty patient, but after a week or two and I'll either start running your character for you or kill them off. Horribly. Obviously, exceptions will be made if you let me know in advance you're poofing for a little bit, but let me know when you'll be back.

-Make sure you understand the rules. This doesn't mean rules lawyering, but it should mean I shouldn't have to teach you.

Unmei no Kaze- An advanced L5R game, if you're only passingly familiar I would stay away from this one. The players will start as ronin, on the day of their execution for crimes (real or perceived), and go from there into an adventure that may change the fate of Rokugan. I'm going to be running this one on 'hard mode', a.k.a., the GM vs the Players, with a strong possibility of character death, but if you succeed it'll taste all the sweeter

-Rules: Legend of the Five Rings, 4th Edition

-Genre: Asian Fantasy

-Setting: Rokugan, current era

-Players: 2-4

LV-667

Lock and load, marines! There's been a distress call from the Weyland-Yutani colony on LV-667, the infamous 'Hell Plus One' volcanic world. As a colonial marine, it's your duty to respond to this call, isolate the problem, and neutralize any threats. Stay frosty, though, strange things may lurk in the dark...

-Rules: New World of Darkness, with some custom bits

-Genre: Sci Fi/Horror

-Setting: The Aliens/Predator universe

-Players: 4-8

-Note: While I'm not gonna try killing you all off arbitrarily, this is a HORROR game. One or two or five of you may die, but I'll make that part fun, I promise!

Ad Astra Per Aspera

Two centuries from now, FTL travel has been finally achieved, and contact has been made outside of our solar system. However, political infighting abounds after a terrorist attack cripples much of our interstellar travel. On Mars, a new ship is about to be revealed, and a misfit group is about to find themselves as the crew.

-Rules: BESM 3rd Edition

-Genre: Sci Fi

-Players: 3-5

-Troupe-Style(ish) Game: I will be running the main plotline, but in between, others will be able to run small episodic side stories. Everyone will make a character, including the main GM (myself)

-Everyone must come up with one unique Location, Technology, and Organization along with their character. It doesn't necessarily have to be something your character is part of or even knows about.

Never Surrender, Never Die!

The Reclamation has come to pass. However, at the moment of the Yozis' greatest triumph, Malfeas betrayed them all, in a manner not even the Ebon Dragon had prepared for. Forging She Who Lives In Her Name into a crown and soul, he ascended once again to the King of Primordials, and struck the rebellious gods down, binding them into slavery. Humanity was hunted to extinction, and the Exaltations imprisoned once again. A new race of demihuman creatures known as Demonbred rule, killing any human they find. There are, however, a few surviving bastions of humanity, and the Exaltations are returning...

-Rules: Exalted 2nd Edition, with full Errata/Ink Monkeys/Thousandfold charms. Drive and Firearms used as well. Modified Resonance for Abyssals, open Exaltation type

-Genre: Fantasy/Post Apocalyptic

-Setting: Creation, albeit altered heavily

-Players: 3-5

Chaos Theory

The job was sold to you as like a zoo, but better. Some of the best bioengineers, veterinary workers, big game hunters, engineers, and technicians in their field were hired, and you were on of them. An island off of Costa Rica. The 'animals' you were working with, though, had not been seen for over 65 million years. It was incredible, and almost ready to open, after a final preliminary visit from a few experts in various fields, and, of course, a lawyer. That's when the storm hit...

-Rules: New World of Darkness

-Genre: Modern/Horror

-Setting: The Jurassic Park universe

-Players: 2-4

If there's any questions or comments, please, post them! I'll gladly answer! Otherwise, go ahead and vote on which game(s) interest you the most, and post your interest (and potential character ideas) below! Once I've chosen, and have recruited the players here, I'll set up the game, :D

I would be interested in Chaos Theory and LV-667. Is the former game a group attempting to escape from Insa Nublar following the book/movie canon or an original variation?

Never Surrender, Never Die!, looks really interesting. I've never played Exalted before so I'm not sure if you'd accept me, I do have the books though.

Cool. Well, you can chalk up one interested party. Oh, and the book, if I recall correctly, featured plenty of potential for side story material, basically the second movie.

Lissen here, yon ragamuffin. EX2 is dogshite, div't consider it. L5R or LV-1201 - Here you, @The Fuzz ; Aliums game is right up thine alley.

*the bulk of this remains true even when Grey is sober

Very interested in LV-667 as a thriller-horror rp. I'm a huge fan of the Aliens universe. Chaos Theory sounds great too.

I'm not familiar with the New World of Darkness rule set, but I'm quick to pick up new systems.

Still need a little more love in all of them before I can run any of them. 2-3 players, except for the L5R one, isn't enough, :/

Never Surrender, Never Die! I've been itching to play Exalted ever since my last game died off...

Please?

Bumps for the Bump God, Games for the Game Throne.

So, anime sci fi or post apocalyptic Exalted are getting close to the amount of folks I want to play.
