The Mad Queen
Memento Mori. Unus Anus
The Multiverse is Dying...
Rather than being wiped out like so many others, parts of your world merged with another. Due to a force you know little to nothing about, you and your world were allowed to live in some capacity.
Welcome to Gladius
A dimension separated by three different planets and one moon, Gladius may be all that remains of the Multiverse. These planets are unstable, for new remnants are added every day, each one pulled to this dimension by the unknown force.
Planet 1/Gladius-1: The Center
- Remnants of LA, Moscow and Tokyo from the early 21st century that have been merged together. Although some people live there, it is slowly being reclaimed by exotic wildlife from across time and space. This exotic wildlife includes dinosaurs, dragons, giant birds, owlbears, giant spiders and plant monsters.
- A large river 100 miles wide full of treacherous river monsters separates the remnant cities from Metro-Gotham
- Metropolis and Gotham (DC Comics) merged into one city that has become overrun by supervillains who fight amongst themselves for territory of Metro-Gotham.
Planet 1: The East
- The Eastern Sea, a 500 mile desert separates the centre from the Eastern lands, it is an unforgiving ocean of sand full of monsters and raiders. Sandsharks, bands of Yuan-ti raiders, Tusken raiders and other dangers known to wander the deserts of their own worlds are popular here. The Eastern Sea is also home to several lost civilisations that are buried in the sand.
- Within this desert is Mos Eisley (Star Wars), a wretched hive of scum and villainy
- Across the desert is the remnants of the Xing Empire (Full Metal Alchemist), with other countries from the same universe having merged into one.
- The Indian Empire, which is currently at war with the Xing Empire. It is led by the Mad Dictator, Mahatma Gandhi (Civilisation series). The Empire and it's borders are patrolled by death squads from the Information Era which includes XCOM soldiers, Mechanised Infinity, Helicopter Gunships, and of course Giant Death Robots.
- Off the coast is New York (Marvel Comics), an island nation. Some remaining military, police, SHIELD agents, superheroes and even villains fight to take back control of the island from raging Symbiotes. (Update) Thanks to a cure developed by Reed Richards, most of the symbiotes were wiped out and after a few more battles a ceasefire was called between the Klyntar (symbiotes), who were close to extinction and SHIELD. The symbiotes that remain in the city are underground or in hiding amongst buildings destroyed by heavy fighting.
- The Fallen Kingdom: An advanced civilisation overrun by the undead, it was once a proud kingdom and one of the first to arrive in Gladius but it was brought to it's knees by swarms of zombies. At the moment, the Kingdom is under heavy quarantine from all the nations surrounding it but some venture inside of the kingdom's secrets.
Planet 1: The West - A Graveyard of destroyed ships (naval, air and space) covers a large portion of the Western area of the planet. While this cemetery seems ideal for raiders, more often than not they will find more than just spare parts in them. (Update) This area is now covered in a large bubble of energy, having been destroyed by Commander Vortex.
- The Western ocean is ideal for piracy, but it's depths are full of dangerous sea creatures. From serpents to aquatic dinosaurs.
- Even further west is the wasteland, a desolate country full of dangerous people and creatures. (Fallout, Max Max and Judge Dredd)Planet 1: The South
- The Southern continent is covered in an eternal night as it is where Vampires roam (World/Chronicles of Darkness). Werewolf attacks by gangs of Pure (Werewolf Nazis) are popular, whilst Mages have constructed cities for themselves with walls to hide behind. These Mage cities are considered to be the safest part of the planet. They are also one of the only ways off the planet.
- Off the coast of the southern continent is a large island nation guarded by serpents and Chinese dragons. From a distance, some large buildings can be seen.
- A vast jungle island that is used as hunting grounds (Predator/Alien series). Creatures and people from all over the planet are dropped here from time to time as prey.
- Tatsumi-Vale Island
A Manmade Island which was born in the collision of Multiverses. Thus combining both Persona 3 and RWBYverses together. It comprises of a portion of the Kingdom of Vale and Tatsumi Port Island. The large Huntsman School known as Gekkoukan Beacon is located as the centre of it's manmade Island.
Planet 1: The North
- Mountain ranges home to lost Dwarven Kingdoms (Tolkien) and giants.
- The province of Skyrim. The civil war between the Stormcloaks and Imperials has declared a ceasefire due to the collapse of the Multiverse, however tensions are high and even higher now due to Vortex's attacks on the land.
- Cold, unforgiving lands that stretch for thousands of miles across, with some settlements inbetween.
- Nohrgar: Nohrgar is a mix between Midgar (Final Fantasy VII) and the kingdom of Nohr (Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest Path). Midgar and Nohr are currently in a power struggle between the Nohrian Royalty led by Prince Xander and the Shinra Electric Power Company led by President Shinra. Mayor Domino is the ambassador representing what remains of the city of Midgar.
A bottomless canyon separates the two lands from Hoshido, a long-time rival of Nohr (FE Fates: Birthright Path). This kingdom is led by the Hoshidan Lord Ryoma.
Currently, there is tension and civil unrest between the Nohrians and the corporate heads of Shinra. Midgar, however, has the high ground on Nohr with the Hoshidans supporting their cause.
- Mewnisse: a fusion of Mewni (Star vs. the Forces of Evil) and Ylisse (Fire Emblem). With the convergence of Mewni and Ylisse, the Royal Butterfly Family of Mewni and the Royal Family of Ylisse have formed a pact of non-agression. The Exalt Emmeryn and Moon Butterfly are on good terms so far.
- Hyruzea: A kingdom that came to be when the collision of Multiverses brought together Hyrule(The Legend of Zelda) and Eorzea(Final Fantasy XIV). It is comprised of Hyrule castle in Central Hyruzea, The deserts of Thanalan and Gerudo that border each other. The city state of Ul’dah which is located in the Thanalan desert. Faron Shroud, originally Farron Woods and the Black Shroud. Within Faron Shroud is the combined City State Village of Gridaniko. Limsa Lominsa an independent marine city state of Hyruzea. Located on the southern coast of the island Vylbrand, Limsa Lominsa is a bustling port and pirate hideout. Zora’s Domain is located under the island. The Holy See of Ishgard is found in the central region of Abalathia's Spine, the highlands of Coerthas. The archbishop of the Ishgardian Orthodox Church rules as the nation's sovereign.
- The Wall: A large, magical structure made up of alien metals and stone among other things. It is designed to keep creatures from beyond the wall from getting in. These include Titans, True Fae and hordes of the undead among other things. Security forces from the second planet as well as people from the first planet are sent there to guard the wall against what lies beyond.
- Beyond the wall is a mixture between tundra, forest, jungle and desert with horrors living in all sections of it.
Planet 2/Gladius-2
Planet 2 much closer to a Utopia than planet one with the remnants vast civilisations arriving there and working together to preserve what's left of the Multiverse and perhaps even find a way to defeat the darkness that was consuming worlds. These groups include (but are not limited to) the Bureau of Balance (The Adventure Zone), The Citadel (A Song of Ice and Fire), the Jedi order (Star Wars), The Elves (Tolkien), Starfleet (Star Trek), the UNSC (Halo series) and Overwatch.Includes
- Westeros (A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones): Which is ruled by Queen Daenerys Targaryen in the South and King Jon Targaryen in the North. Tyrion Lannister, Ser Davos Seaworth and Lord Varys act as advisers to the two and are the ambassadors of Westeros to the rest of Gladius.
Samwell Tarly acts as a science adviser to the rulers of Westeros and reports back to the Citadel, the home of the Maesters
The Land Beyond the Wall was lost, added to the land beyond the wall on Gladius-1, while the rest of Westeros was spared.
- Middle Winter (Tolkien and D&D): With Mordor and some of it's surrounding areas wiped away (and added to Gladis-1), as well as the Mines of Moria and some of the lost Dwarven Kingdoms, the rest of Middle Winter is ruled by the surviving Dwarves, men and Elves while the Hobbits of the Shire tend to stay out of political matters.
Differing Elven, Dwarven, human, Gnome, Tiefling (ect) Kingdoms from across the Multiverse have settled in Middle Winter and Bureau of Balance operates out of this home to magical peoples from the Forgotten Realms (the setting for most Dungeons and Dragons games), that of The Adventure Zone and of Middle Earth itself.
- The Unseen University (Discworld): The hub of magical study and knowledge on Gladius-2, with various wizards, mages and the like performing research there. Most of this is dedicated to the protection and preservation of Gladius-2 as well as trying to find a way to combat the darkness should it return. Th Unseen University also merged with part of Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic (Harry Potter). Hogwarts acts as a kind of junior academy, which the Ministry being a peacekeeping force for the region.
- Seoul-don: A hybrid of Seoul and London, Seoul-don is a mixture of futuristic architecture (cyberpunk) and Victorian style architecture. A city of cyborgs, gentlemen and monsters, Seoul-don is the hub for trade and considered one of the largest cities on Gladius-2. It has an undercity of aliens and monsters, similar to "Trap Streets" (Doctor Who).
Operating out of Seoul-don is Overwatch and the UNSC.
- Latverivin: A mixture between Yavin-4 (Star Wars) and Latveria (Marvel Comics). While it's official ruler is Victor Von Doom, he is often found at the Unseen University due to his powers in sorcerery. He has assisted the Jedi Order under the leadership of Luke Skywalker and Kyle Katarn in rebuilding it's numbers, and as such they have promised to protect Latverivin.
- Magical Kingdom: A continent which, for a lack of better words encompasses most of the Disney and Pixar universes, with several islands off the coast. The likes of Wall-E and post-apocalypse Disney is on Gladius-1 however. In the centre is Disney central, ruled by a council of Princesses who work with the council. They seek to preserve their kingdom rather than battle the darkness itself.
- Valkanda: Valkanda is the result of the merger of the technologically-advanced African nation of Wakanda with the more rural nomadic desert town port of Val Habar. Valkanda remains a harmonious combinations of its original locales. Black Panther veils for its safety and makes sure its inhabitants can enjoy a peaceful lifestyle. Following the death of the Multiverse, Black Panther also serves as its guild master, and he has established a new tradition by naming a Monster Hunter as his right hand, as a way of creating harmony on the newly-formed nation.
- Thessiascara: A mixture between the Asari homeworld of Thessia (Mass Effect) and the home of the Amazons (DC Comics/Greek Mythos), it houses warrior women who fight with both magic and science. As well as being on the council of Gladius, they act as a part of the military should the darkness return with both Amazons and Asari commandos preparing relentlessly.
- CraftStar: An island created by the parts of Craftworld (LittleBigPlanet) and Planet Pop Star (Kirby Series). The island's capital is Dream Land which is overseen by The Alliance with Larry DaVinci as its head, but King Dedede plans to overthrow The Alliance. CraftStar does have an army of its own: The SackBot Army.
This place is inhabited by various creatures like Sackpeople and various Kirby characters such as Waddle Dees and they are very friendly towards visitors. However, some of its inhabitants are violent and dangerous and there's traps laid out around the island.
CraftStar is arguably the most abundant island on Gladius, boasting a seemingly endless amount of food, daily supplies, and useful items from across the multiverse (for example, the Super Mushroom from Super Mario Brothers). Also, half of CraftStar's terrain is made out of several multi-coloured fabrics and other common materials, the other half being organic.
CraftStar is the perfect place for assembling or reassembling items both old and new and rumour has it that there is hidden treasure beneath the island but those interested must survive "The Great Cave Offensive."
(UPDATE: This region was nuked by Ghandi, reducing it to ashes)
- IaTowa: A fusion of the great Cybertronian city Iacon (Transformers) and Isolated Technologically advanced island Utopia Towa City (DanganRonpa).
The City is divided into two districts, the Human and the Cybertronian Districts. The Human district of IaTowa consists of high rise apartments, research facilities, shops, and factories. The Cybertronian district is very similar tho it is scaled to the size of the Transformers. The City is controlled the Council, a group of Cybertronian Leaders and diplomats that help keep the peace between the humans and the Cybertronians.
- Gravityvale: Seemingly existing outside of time compared to the other places on Gladius-II this town is a fusion between the forest town of Gravity Falls (Gravity Falls) and the desert town of Nightvale (Welcome to Night Vale). A mixture of desert and trees full of secrets and general weirdness, it broadcasts the Welcome to Night Vale podcast (hosted by Cecil Baldwin), which didn't change it's name after the merge. When approached for comment about their refusal, station management made indescribable, bright purple screeching sounds and proceeded to stamp their feet.
Stanford Pines and Carlos lead a team on investigators and seem to be some of the very few residents of the town aware of the weird and (often) horrible things that happen on seemingly a daily basis.
- Sybil Japan: Sybil Japan (Psycho-Pass) The technological utopia run by the Sybil System, where it is possible to instantaneously measure and quantify a person's propensity towards criminality using stationary handheld technology. Little is known about the country due to its isolationist nature, the MWPSB the police force of the city dispense out the Sybil System's justice, and the country maintains that nothing has gone wrong, and everything is as it was. However, not everything is as it seems.
Above the planets: - An blockade of ships and space stations designed as an early warning sy stem should the darkness reach Gladius.
- The moon is used as a massive research outpost and a colony that Starfleet operates out of.
- On the dark side of the moon is a prison colony where the worst criminals from across the Multiverse are housed.
- Ishimura-High Charity
The collision of multiverses brought about the collision of the Flood-infested High Charity (Halo) and the USG Ishimura (Dead Space) in an asteroid field between Gladius 1 and 2. The conflict between necromorphs and flood keeps them occupied for the moment. However, the space around the collision is incredibly dangerous, with Flood-piloted ships and Marker signals posing grave threats. The Gladius defence fleet has declared the area off-limits.
- The Dome
In orbit of the moon is an invisible yet large dome, home to a collection of cities living within an artificial ecosystem.
Kampala: The Capital of Uganda which is home to the Ugandan military and it's most notable tribe
Lazyville: A combination of Lazytown (Lazytown) and Danville (Phineas and Ferb)
Springdale: A combination of Springfield (The Simpsons) and Dimsdale (Fairly Odd Parents) taken from moments in their time when both cities were at the height of their power (and quality).
What Remains: Survival/Mystery Multi-Fandom RP (OOC)
