It was another semi-adventurous day in the lands of Zorro. Despite the clear skies, crisp air, clean waters, and lush greenery, small battles against monsters were being fought throughout the nation. Fortunately, these fights were of no concern to Gento, the heart of the country. This vast and prosperous city was well guarded by the Slayers of the Supreme Council, extremely talented mages sworn to the safety of Zorro. Within Gento, crops were thriving, bards sang of legendary battles fought and won by great slayers, and women paraded about in fanciful silks. The wealth of the city was evident. The many bakeries, taverns, bars, and diners of Gento emitted mouth-watering aromas that filled the afternoon air with smells of baked goods, seasoned meat, freshly made soup, and liquor. Despite the fact the sun had only just risen, the stone pathways were crowded and the taverns and diners were packed. The city of Gento was alive and well. Little did the people of Gento know, today was the beginning of the journey that would determine the fate of humanity. Today was the day the Elemental Lords of legend would return . . .
The great mages that resided in the Lost Tower stared in awe at the magic globe that resided in the main hall. It shone violently, flashing from red, green, blue, black, and white, to gold. The elements were abnormally active in the air today, what was the reason? The eldest mage slammed her staff into the marble floor, catching the attention of her fellow magicians.
"Keep an eye out for any abnormalities today, report them directly to the council. No detail is too small, something is amiss."

In sequence, the whimsical woods that surrounded the west of Gento seemingly froze in time. The animals within paused in wonder. Birds circled above the trees eagerly, chirping ecstatically. Despite Fall being just around the corner, the yellow leaves magically blossomed into radiant greens. The fruitless became fruitful, and the budless blossomed. In the center of this commotion was a barren patch of soil. For a moment or two, it was still. Spontaneously, a vicious glow emitted from the soil, the earth beneath puckering in protest. From the light and dirt erose a naked and teary-eyed beauty. Earth incarnate had returned.
Little did the world know, many abnormalities would be beginning all around Gento.
