Traditional What can I do to improve this?

ValentineIllusion

Whoa what's a custom title-
So a little backstory behind my drawing:

I got an internship lately, and between that and getting ready for college, I've had barely any time to draw. But I did have time to procrastinate and look at funny pictures of animals, and one of them was a funny picture of a goat. And for whatever reason, it inspired me to draw a goat picture. But I suck at drawing animals, so I drew a goat person. Then, I finished it, and decided to color it to match my dorm.

Here it is, by the way:

Most of it's kinda set in stone, since I did all the color in copic and there's not much more I can do about that, but I wanted to add something - mostly to the background. I was thinking flat wash of light blue would look good, but that doesn't match my dorm so well - my dorm colors are grey, yellow, and beige,so the green I used felt like enough of a push already. But, if anyone had any thoughts on anything I could do to improve on it, I would really appreciate it! (◕▿◕✿)

Aw, this is really cute! I like the color choice, even though it was based off a dorm room. The green adds a nice pop, so that was a good choice!

What I like to do in times of color indecisiveness, is go to coolors.co and fiddle around with their color picker. They have a nice feature that lets you pull colors from a picture. I took the yellow from the center of a daisy, the soft grey of the inner ear, the pale green of the eye, and a forehead area skin tone, and locked those colors in. The fifth color it generates for me will usually go with the rest of the palette. Here's some I particularly liked!

One more!

I think a muted color in the red-purple-blue range would be a good idea. Too much beige or yellow will just kinda dull the picture a bit. On the flip side, it's already a good image. You could leave it as is in case no one color really pops. If you're willing to risk it, you can also try for a gradient. A sunset gradient would be a nice idea, in my opinion.

As a fellow artist I believe it looks very beautiful, the only thing I would say is maybe working on the head form? I don't know it's already so beautiful.

Personally, it feels fine the way it is, given the style of your art. I am inclined to agree with the advice to fiddle around with a color scheme, but other than that, this piece has enough charm to stand as-is.
Heck, you even got the goat eyes right.

This only thing I can nitpick at is the neck. Maybe a line or two to define the sternocleidomastoid muscle will add a nice finishing touch.

I think it's beautiful for its style. The colors are nice, too. However, I would suggest working on the direction of the shading. For the most part it is well, but I can't tell where the light source is coming from. It could be that I'm just not viewing it correctly, but it's definitely something to look in to.
