What are ratings? How do I give one? How do I PM?

I know it says I made my account forever ago-- I did do that, but I only actually tried using the site a few days ago. Everything's working smoothly, but I don't understand what the little green "ratings" thing is. What are they? How do I give one?


Also, where is the PM button on someone's profile?

You can't send a PM until you have 10 posts, so once you hit that you can click on a member's profile and use the option "start a conversation" I believe it's called.


The ratings on the forum are at the bottom of each post to the far right, a little green check for "liking" and a little red life preserver for "helpful" It's a way of rating posts. And you can like posts on individual's profiles, just click on their update and it will give you the option to like it.

There are also different ratings in different forums. For example, this forum has "helpful" and "like" because this forum is generally for informing and helping people.


Role playing forums will have other rating like "great scene" and "fun rp post" because they apply to rping. If you hover over a rating, it should give an explanation.
