What are the most soul crushing/bizarre animes that you would recommend to me?

I haven't been able to feel anything since I watched Madoka.

I recommend the dub, its one of the few good ones

Ohh that makes it even better. I think the only dubs I've really liked in anime so far are some of the ones done by Studio Ghibli and Durarara.

Soul crushing, eh? Try Your Lie In April. The pros are you'll learn to love Frederic Chopin if you don't already. The cons are it's soul crushingly depressing. (At least to me if was, your mileage may vary)

Do you know Soul Eater? It's a shonen with a strange Halloween theme. One of my favorite. It can go from funny to dark to mysterious pretty fast. Though I would recommend the MANGA, because it's way better, the anime is still pretty good despite the underwhelming ending. Still a great thing to watch until the last 10 minutes. :Y

Oh have you seen Mob Psycho 100? Its pretty bizarre.

Yeah no kidding. I showed someone Angel Beats once. It was great. And awful. But mostly great.

I do know Soul Eater! It did have some pretty intense parts and story archs and stuff. I'm lowkey in love with Stein.

Wolf Children, then? It's a movie that had crushed my soul at least 4 times.

Its about a kid who's a psychic, starts as a sort of ghostbuster series ends with amazing psychic fight scenes. One of the best shows last year that was ROBBED at the crunchyroll awards.

Nope, I don't believe so. I've seen gifs on tumblr though. What makes you reccomend it?

It's got an interesting take on magic/supernatural powers that makes it pretty decent in my book. Also it's based on Shakespeare's Hamlet and The Tempest but anime-ified.

Gankutsuou.

I think I saw a gif of it or something on tumblr and then I decided that I needed to watch it and did a reverse image search on google haha. I was kind of obsessed with the imagery.
