hiya! welcome to my little corner of the internet. i'm jia (she/they), a university student who spends way too much time watching horror movies and not enough time on homework. i took a writing hiatus in 2020 because of school, but i missed the community and i'm eager to find partners just as excited for long-term, character driven writing and exploring and expanding ideas into solid plots.
an aspiring writer, wannabe cool kid, and diehard horror fan. i love numetal music and indie rock, mothman and cartoon shows like clone high and infinity train. i love talking about my ocs, making playlists, and angst. word count wise, i write a minimum of three paragraphs and a maximum of a small novel. i tend to float around the website a few hours everyday, but i am human, and writer's block can be a bitch. regardless, i love finding new partners, chatting oorp, and writing something together we can both enjoy.
tldr: please be patient with me. college can get hectic, and real life can slow down my reply rate ic. that being said, i am 100% ghost friendly! no hard feelings.
my favorite genres and plots to write are action, thriller, horror, superpowers / metahumans and the supernatural. regardless of the pairing, i tend to use masc/male muses, but i'm down for any pairings and have a few female characters specific to plots. i'm a sucker for romance in the midst of plots, but i'm open to platonic and family-esque relationships as well! romance-wise, i enjoy slowburn, angst, and tropes with a twist.
i love talking ooc! talking about our muses, delving into ideas for plots, expanding relationships, or just getting to know each other! writing out replies to the actual roleplay can take a bit for me. i strive to reply at least once a month, because all things considered, quality for me comes before quantity. i'm not someone who enjoys throwing together a response for the sake of just replying, but making something that i can be proud to slap my name on. that being said, i understand this can be a turn off for people, and that's no harm for me. but will always communicate with you ooc, and will never push you for a reply. that being said, if you're interested in writing with me (and if i haven't totally scared you away), feel free to read the next couple tabs to see my rules, plot ideas, and fandom concepts!
rules
i prefer my writing partners to be at least twenty and our muses to be 18+! i love to explore mature themes in my writing, and my preference for writing with partners 20+ comes from a comfort standpoint.rule one
please follow the rules implemented by rpn; as someone a part of the lgbtq+ community, poc, and neurodivergent, i will not accept any bigotry or hatred of any kind.rule two
three paragraphs minimum, but i strive for quality above quantity- most of my posts range between 400 to 1000+ words (third person perspective), depending on my inspiration and schedule. reply wise, i'm patient! days to weeks, even months, i understand that life and writer's block gets in the way. that being said, i'm 100% ghost friendly! just let me know ahead of time.rule three
communication is key; all of my favorite roleplays are the ones where partners become friends. i wanna get to know the people i'm writing with outside of their characters, and hope you do too.rule four
realistic face claims or written descriptions are preferred- but not required! people who love to indulge and draw their ocs is right up my alley, despite not being an artist myself.rule five
as a writer, i always like to challenge myself and delve into themes such as mental illness, violence, and addiction. if these topics make you uncomfortable, i dissuade you from writing with me.rule six
my preferred medium of writing is typically on site, in dms or threads, or through discord. feel free to ask me for my tag!rule seven

➜ MIRACULOUS LADYBUG! ― ★★★★★
. . . . . ↳ caught up to season 5 + have seen all the specials, including the netflix movie!
this is a shot in the dark but i would love to explore a fandom that’s been near and dear to my heart since it first released in 2016. there is a lot of depth to what is otherwise seen as a superhero kid’s show, and i would love to pry out those mature themes and really see them come to fruition. an aged up, darker, gotham-esque paris, where we can explore both canon or original characters!
i’m currently working on an au masterdoc of this fandom as well, just bits and pieces of ideas that have started to consume my brain. if you would like to hear any of them, please dm me! miraculous is admittedly, my special interest, so even if you aren’t interested in writing with me, and are just a fan of the show, i’d love to make friends!
i would prefer to discuss pairings in dms, but can and would love to write any of the following characters against an oc or another canon character for you: nathaniel kurtzberg, marinette dupain-cheng, alix kubdel, rose lavillant, chloé bourgeois, max kante, juleka couffaine, and others! many of the canon characters are heavily infulenced by my own personal headcanons or rewrites (lord knows marinette needs them).
➜ GRAVITY FALLS! ― ★★★★☆
. . . . . ↳ oc x oc / cc x cc
━━ for the sake of comfort, all minors will be aged up.
looking for: adult!dipper pines x adult!pacifica northwest, oc x oc
willing to write: adult!mabel pines, adult!wendy corduroy
plot-wise, i am down for exploring post-canon, inserting characters into canon, or coming up with a new threat to the town entirely! that being said, i will not write anything shipping a canonically minor character with a canon older character. my hard no's are bipper or wendy x dipper.
➜ THE MAZE RUNNER! ― ★★★☆☆
. . . . . ↳ greenie!oc x seasoned glader!oc
although it's been years since i watched or read the maze runner series, there is so much interesting world building and plot nuggets that i would love to be able to write something at least within the universe! i'm leaning toward creating our own glade, maze, escape, and greater villain if that suits your fancy! i have the concept of a character in mind, a medic, and would love to see that medic get stuck in the maze with a newbie turned runner!

#don't panic
No one really knows how Panic began. It was mostly just collectively agreed upon that it was started by some seniors who graduated many years ago, for the same reason why it's still played today: because they needed the money.
There was nothing really special about Carp. A small town in Texas with an even smaller population, where everyone knows everyone and everything that goes on within its borders. Or, mostly everything.
Panic was the one thing that was kept secret amongst the high schoolers. Only graduating seniors were eligible to play, but very few actually did. Everyone was required to pay, a dollar a day, for every day school was in session, even if you weren't playing, and by the time summer rolled around, there was a pretty large pot. How did one win said pot? Easy.
Seven challenges, all spread out throughout the course of the summer. It always started with the Jump, and ended with Roulette or Joust, but only one person ever won. Panic was meant to push you to your limits, physically, mentally, emotionally, in any way, shape, and form.
Damayanti Shastri told herself she wouldn't play. It was stupid, it was risky, and if the cops got her, she'd be looking at juvenile. That is, until she's told the truth about her family and her father's poor financial situation, and she's left with no choice.
It's then where she realizes just why so many wanted to play. The desperation for money. The thrill of the game. People might've had different reasons, but they all wanted the same thing, and knew the most important thing about it:
The game isn't meant to kill you, and it won't, as long as you don't panic.

D̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶g̶o̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶w̶o̶o̶d̶s̶.̶
In the sweltering heat of a midwestern summer, the small town of Elmridge celebrated the last day before the return of dreaded school. A languid breeze whispered through the town's towering pines that encircled the sleepy community, their branches swaying with an ominous rhythm.
In the town's creek, a gathering was taking place, hosted by the town's youth. Beer bottles littered the creek, drunken teenagers danced to booming music, and laughter echoed as they celebrated one last summer soirée.
Among the crowd, Megan Cooper, the life of every party danced around a crimson plastic cup glued to her hand. As the night wore on, Megan found herself astray from the crowd detaching her boyfriend's clammy hands from her waist.
She was in a hazy state of mind, where the trees seemed to dance with her and beckoned her into the forest. And she followed their song. Her steps stumble on uneven terrain.
Unbeknownst to the townsfolk. Deep in the woods, a creature has awoken. A creature born of darkness, manipulation and despair. A haunting melody resonating from its unseen lips luring Megan into the depths of the forest.
The moon witnessed the chase that followed, as Megan's laughs turned to cries of fear muffled by the rustling trees and the echo of the party. Her heart pounded once she caught a glimpse of what was standing in front of her.
She ran, she ran fast. But the creature was relentless, its presence seeping into her bones freezing her veins.
Days later, a hushed terror gripped the town as Megan's body was found. floating in the murky depths of the creek. The once—joyful celebration transformed into a collective sorrow, and the tendrils of grief wound themselves tightly into the hearts of the townsfolk.
Fear spread like wildfire, fueled by speculation and fragmented truths. Whispers of a lurking serial killer permeated the air, conjuring visions of evil that haunted the townspeople's nightmares. In response, the town became a prison of curfews and suspicion. Inhabitants lost in a labyrinth of rules and regulations, desperate to protect themselves from an unseen menace.
Among them, Jeanie Cooper stood broken, her heart shattered by the loss of her beloved sister. The world around her blurred into a haze of grief and paranoia, as the weight of the town's sorrow settled on her fragile shoulders.
Little did they know that Megan's death was just the beginning, an omen of the darkness that had taken residence in their midst. The Deathling had awoke, and the town would soon discover the extent of its merciless hunger.
Whatever you do, don't go in the woods.

THE DEATH CURE ✸ Sci-fi, Horror. Mystery. They were dead. At least, they were, last time they checked. Death comes for us all. Our muses had died sometime within the last few years. Their deaths were no more suspicious than other deaths. Accidents, disease, murder. They had all died in Chelster, a small isolated town off the coast of Maine.
They didn't stay dead though. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your perspective, they awoke where they had died. Their bodies still lie in urns and in coffins, but there they were, walking and talking where they had last left off. The residence of Chelster, however, had moved on.
Can you really call someone who lives and breathes dead?
TLDR: our muses essentially wake up in the same location where they originally died, ie: in the middle of a road, in the ashes of a house that had since burned down, etc. They aren't aware they were dead until they're told/find traces of their death/are told. The reason this is in the blurb section is because I haven't necessarily thought through the why of our muses coming back. But I think this could be something really interesting to explore in discussion! Heavily inspired by the idea of zombies and The Good Place, but like, evil and twisted.
TROPES ✸ Angst, Romance, Fluff.
⋆ Stuck together, literally. Our muses wake up handcuffed together, no idea how they met or where the hell the key went. Hijinx ensue.
⋆ Human x Ghost.
⋆ Knight x Prince(ss).
⋆ Cowboy Vampire Hunter x Vampire. Prime golden era of cowboys, but with a really fun twist.
⋆ Celebrity x Person who wants nothing to do with them. Heavily inspired by Disney's Starstruck.
