(IDEA AND GRAPHICS NOT MINE, ALLCREDIT TO WESTERN YOUTHS ON TUMBLR. I just thought it would be fun to bring the RP here.)
“Let’s get out of here”.
It was a drunk, 3 am comment, but it changed everything. Suddenly, the 3 half asleep students looked at each other, and knew they had to do it. Without a plan, without so much as a car, the three roommates put their apartment up for sublet as the year winded down, getting ready for graduation and their future far, far away from Boston, Massachusetts, their home for the last four years, if not longer.
But what started out as a road trip to start their new lives just the three of them, grew into a trip they couldn’t imagine. The more people they told, the more wanted to come. They got A DRIVER, who provided them with recreational plants if you know what we mean. Then THE OLD FRIEND tagged along, who really is just looking for the best way out there. THE SIBLINGS came because one of them wanted to see the Pacific and the other wasn’t quite ready to let them go across the country by themselves. At the end, there was 7 people tagging along.
There's seven of them in total and some days it’s crowded, and most days something new breaks on the old car. Feet rest out of windows, heads rest on shoulders, and bad sing alongs start when a 90’s classic finds its way into the car. Some nights they make it to a motel, getting two rooms and spending the night jumping into pools. Some nights they’re stranded and no one can drive anymore, stuck out in the middle of nowhere, blankets wrapped around them and the stars above them. They lose cellphone reception for hours, and they make stops along the way. This summer is the beginning of the rest of a lot of their lives, and it’s all about living in the moment.
