Mason
Cutie Smile.gif

At first, Ari pulled her arm away from June. "Hey, she's alright." Mason said quietly and Ari looked up at him, quietly considering, then reached out and high-fived June before quickly pulling her hand back and snuggling into Mason's chest. "Sorry, she's really shy." He admitted sheepishly. It kind of sucked that Ariana was so shy, but she did warm up to people fairly quickly. "Uhh, maybe you can see her again sometime? She gets used to people after meeting them a couple times."

~ Hajar Giles ~

It was the middle of the week after the escapade at the local university, a little adventure that netted Hajar a bit of spending cash but she also had Ash's wallet still with her, she spent the weekend deciding what to do with it. In the end... She did what was the right thing in her mind. It wasn't hard to find Ash after school, in the space between the main building and the gymnasium where the cheer squad had practice. She stalked out the shadows as soon as she saw Ash come out of the main building, heading across the little square towards the gym. "Hey lovely..." Hajar spoke up, her hood was up over her head as she wandered closer, "Ash..." She caught up to her quickly, pulling Ash's wallet from her pocket. "I found this, I don't know if you killed the cards already but I figured you wanted it back."

Grace
Grace was perfectly content just laying next to Sawyer, admiring her dark eyes she loved so much. Grace couldn't help but smile into the few kisses they've shared. Running her fingers through Sawyer's hair, while her cheeks reddened from the compliment. She opened her mouth to compliment her back, but when she pulled her even closer Grace lost all words, and her breath caught instead. Grace was literally thinking about nothing else other than Sawyer. Her expression was intense when she'd reciprocated the 'hopelessly' in love, and that just did it for her. Searching her eyes before pulling her into a searing kiss.

Suddenly getting enough confidence to sit up, breaking the kiss for a mere moment before she settled herself on top of Sawyer with no hesitation. Grace wasn't interested in baking, or talking about the future. Her mind was entirely on something else.

Ash had been running late for cheer, and was heading towards the gym when she heard someone calling from behind her. She froze, jumping a bit when Hajar came out of nowhere. Yes, Ash was still worried that Ryan would've told her what happened and Hajar was coming to kill her... and instead, she held out Ash's missing wallet. "Oh, thank you so much," she said, letting out a sigh of relief and taking the wallet from Hajar. "Yeah, there wasn't anything on the cards but... I cancelled the few that still had money on them. And like, my ID." She opened up the wallet, checking to make sure nothing was missing, and then slipped it into her back pocket once more. "Thank you so much. My dad was, like, freaking out and was all worried and... uh... yeah, never mind..." She said, blushing as she realized she was going too off topic. "Anyway, thanks."

Hajar smiled, "No it's okay.." She waved a hand impassively off to the side as she gave her look over, her dark eyes shimmered like a wolf on the hunt, "You ought to remember who runs into you..." She leaned her head to the side and made a strange face, her lips soured into their serious face again. Hajar then just smiled and shook her head a little, "Yeah, clueless people are the easiest to take from. Good luck with cheer practice.." She nodded at Ash then pulled her mask up around her face before turning and head off towards her bike that wasn't far off.

Sawyer
Before Sawyer could even process what was happening fully Grace was on top of her and her breath caught in her throat. Sawyer's hands settled on Grace's hips and found themselves creeping up her shirt before she caught herself and stopped. Woah. Too fast. She placed both of her hands on Grace's shoulders a gently pushed her back enough so she could speak.

"Slow down, Casanova." Sawyer chuckled but stopped only a second after, "Listen, I want you to be absolutely sure." The last thing Sawyer wanted was for Grace to regret anything that was about to happen. This was a big deal for both of them, but especially Grace. There was no need to rush if she wasn't certain. Sawyer's eyes searched Grace's carefully for an answer.

"Are you sure?"

Ash was a little confused, her eyebrows furrowing together for a moment before Hajar started to head away, and it clicked in Ash's head. Had Hajar really stolen her wallet? A little peeved, but Ash didn't try to argue with her about it. Instead, she just turned and headed to cheer practice, quietly now realizing why she had run into her at the college day, then so politely apologized and took off quickly. Stupid Ryan girlfriend. Stealing her money and wallet.

June
June decided that this friendship would go on with Alaska. She was surprised really since the only ways they had interacted before was her trying to punch her. So, things have changed. She decided to help her decorate and get ready for her Halloween party. It was weird to hang out with her family after the blogs had happened. But, she was glad they welcomed her back.

She got a chair and put up the last of the Halloween pumpkin streamers, smiling as she got down. Even though she was helping with this thing, she actually didn’t have a costume. She had been falling in grades and wanted to get them back up. Therefore, she barely had time to get an outfit for the occasion. But she did have pumpkin shaped sunglasses which was better than not having anything.

An hour in and June surveyed the room full of people. It looked like cool. Fake spider webs, those dollar ghosts, “This is halloween” playing in the background, glow sticks. It was cool to help out putting on a party rather than attending one. Even though she was doing both. Now she could relax and try to talk to the people hear.

Amelia never went to parties. Partially because her mother never allowed her too. “Partying rots the brain and everyone will end up poor.” Something along those lines, she didn’t care. She had already finished her homework and laid in her bed. Staring at the ceiling for the longest of time. Her hand drumming on her phone. The guy she had been DMing. She likes to call him Online Dude even though that’s not the most creative name imaginable. She was starting to get nervous. It seemed like they were going to meet after he told her he went to Westbrook. She was starting to look at every screen on campus, hoping to see if someone had Twitter open or something. But now... he’s responding less. Which makes Amelia even more nervous.

Then she got a message and she shot up. Looking down she read it and her heart landed in her throat. “He’s going to the Halloween party?” She whispered out loud. She immediately got up and her mind started whirling. She looked up to her closet and dug through her things. “No. No. This is pretty small, but...” She strapped on her old angel costume from middle school which sadly fit snuggly on her now. Then looked around her room. She set everything up and even got on her laptop, linking the camera to her phone. She slid out the door quietly and placed the laptop in an area where she could monitor the hallway.

“I’m sorry Genie.” She whispered, even though she was lying to herself. She locked the door behind her and went to her window. Now for the hard part. One foot. Good yes, the other. Shit. She was trying to fall gracefully from her second story room. It wasn’t that big of a house that the fall would hurt anything. If she did it right. She landed in the bushes and grunted as they poked at her clothes. “Ow...” She wanted to say, but knew she couldn’t even speak. She rolled out quietly from the bushes. Then, smiled as she ran to her car. She always parked far away from her home, therefore Genie couldn’t hear it.

Yes. She was desperate. But, she didn’t want to lose another person. Some people might be worth falling out of a window for. She just hoped he was one of them.

Grace
Grace deepened the kiss when she put her hands on her hips, only encouraging her hands when they started to slip up her shirt. Pulling away and looking down at her, when she pushed her away. Waiting for her to speak, Grace stared at her for a second.

She wouldn't want to be with anyone else. Even if Sawyer and her didn't work out in the future, which Grace doubts highly, Grace knew that she'd remember her forever. And wouldn't regret anything. Grace nodded, she was sure. Never been more positive of anything. "I'm more-than sure." Placing a hand on Sawyer's chest and leaning her back onto the bed before capturing her lips with her own.

Ash
Lookin UP.gif

She had spent probably far too long debating on what to wear, between just opting out of a costume, something revealing, or dressing like a five-year-old. It was hard, difficult, and Ash tried to run her decisions by Jace, but he refused to help out the moment she suggested something... uh... you know. Adult. So she ended up relying on Jeffrey for help, although the ferret wasn't much use and finally, Ash just settled on some maid thing. It wasn't super slutty, which was nice.

It was nerve-wracking, and finally, she was walking up the steps to Ryder's house for the party. Ash was nervous, alright? She didn't typically do Halloween parties, especially because of scantily-clad costumes that just made her feel horrible, but it was Ryder and Alaska's birthday, and that simply meant she had to go.

Ash had arrived a little bit early to help with the preparations... alright, so she intended to, but ended up running over getting ready. So now, she was arriving right when the party was started, smiling awkwardly at people as she made her way past, looking around for Ryder but kind of failing with the whole finding him thing. Welp.

Drake
Oooof.gif

If this party was anyone else's, Drake wouldn't have gone. No doubt about it. He was still feeling horrible, exhausted, and all he wanted to do was crawl home and sleep. But this was for Alaska, so Drake had gotten ready, doing a horrible job of a costume by just pulling on an old pair of cat ears he'd had for years, along with a black t-shirt and black jeans. And... that was his costume. Usually he would've done something more, but Drake didn't have the energy.

Together, he drove over with Mason and Adriane, although he left his brother and Adriane as he quickly as he could. Although he didn't have any necessarily ill feelings towards Adriane, he knew what the rest of the school thought. Hell, he'd known Adriane since he was, what, twelve? Eleven? He'd been a kid back then, and he remembered baking cookies with her mom and being welcomed into her family with open arms. Drake wished they could keep Adriane's parents and get rid of her.

Now, he made his way over to the couch, collapsing into a corner of it and sinking down, his pale eyes trailing around the people gathered in the room. Damn, he wished he could be that happy.

-----------------------------------

Mason
Kinda cute.gif

He hated Halloween. He hated holidays. He hated anything that involved dressing up most of all. So that meant when Adriane begged him to go, Mason absolutely refused to do any kind of dressing up. Instead, he pulled on his old football jersey, and that was it. He considered bringing his helmet in case a certain angry boy tried to kill him again, but decided against it and to just stick with the jersey for now. After all, what trouble was he getting into tonight?

They ended up leaving Ari with Adriane's parents, which he was a little nervous about. He'd gone over what numbers to call a million times if something happened, or if she wouldn't go to sleep, or anything else. Finally, Adriane and Drake had dragged Mason out of the house and they had headed towards the party, although his thoughts were still swimming with worry for Ari. He'd only ever left Ariana alone with Lydia, the sweet old lady who helped them.

Now, they were at the party, and it was only a few minutes before Adriane gave him a kiss and then headed off to find the alcohol, leaving Mason alone. His eyes trailed around until they locked on June, and he decided he might as well keep trying to piece together their broken friendship, so he decided to walk over.

"Hey," he said. "Not a fan of dressing up, either?"

Adriane
ADRIANE.jpg

The whole night with Mason had been a constant worry about Ariana, and it had gotten tiring fast. Her parents knew how to take care of a toddler, and it was annoying how much time he'd wasted just going over simple things with them. By time they actually got to the party, Adriane was thoroughly annoyed. So she pressed a kiss to Mason's lips, then took off to find the alcohol and get a breather from his overprotective daddy issues or whatever.

It didn't take long before she managed to find the alcohol in the kitchen. Adriane poured herself a cup, and then leaned against the counter, looking around at everyone who had attended while casually sipping her drink.

Something was different about Halloween, something had changed. The gleefully spooky holiday that Jace had always loved had fallen victim to the same disease of maturity that had claimed most of his contemporaries. Instead of trick-or-treating, kids his age were off at parties. Drinking, chatting, and doing all the other repetitive things that made such social events so dull to him. He'd tried his best to draw out the fun of hunting for candy as long as he could, but it was only a matter of time before he grew too old. This was the first year that he actually felt like he'd be egregiously out of place on the dark streets of his neighborhood.

Not that such a feeling would normally stop him, but the past two years he'd at least had someone to go trick-or-treating with. It was so much easier to ignore the disapproving stares of middle aged parents when he had a group of rowdy teens accompanying him. That's what he'd done in freshman year, and he'd managed to find himself a wandering group of freshmen to keep him company for sophomore year as well. Now though? It already seemed weird when he did it a year earlier, and now almost everyone he knew had given up the childhood tradition.

A lot of them were at the Vaughn's party.

Jace already had his fill of parties for the month. Between prom and Bryan's disastrous after party, he'd been amply reminded that there simply wasn't anything a party could offer him. Nothing that lasted longer than fifteen minutes anyways. Even if he liked parties, it was the Vaughns. Alaska was cool, and he didn't mind Chase, but he didn't really want to spend the night in Ryder's house. Especially since the punchy boi's girlfriend was pretty much guaranteed to be there.

It bothered him, really. So much so that he didn't really want to do any of the things he normally did on his own time. It was Halloween. Halloween had always been his favorite holiday, but now it felt so unsatisfying. The more Jace thought about it, the worse his mood got, and the emptier his parents' house felt. It wasn't a mansion like Ash's place, but it was still pretty big. Having two successful parents did lend itself well to having a lot of living space. He was the only one in it though. With both of his parents out on business, Jace was alone in a house with three bedrooms. It was an unpleasant sensation on those rare occasions when the specter of loneliness decided to haunt him. Even worse when she was on his mind, which tended to happen whenever he was missing a big party.

He'd be lying if he said that aching solitude had no part to play when he pulled out his phone. True it was mostly out of boredom, but a part of him really hoped someone would answer his tweet. Just to reassure him that his words weren't just echoing by themselves, the way that they did in the arched halls of his home. Once he was done typing, he collapsed down on the nearby couch, staring up at the ceiling as a heavy sigh escaped his lips. Hopefully he wouldn't have to wait long for it to buzz in his hand.

Carter
tumblr_inline_p7xxewphEt1rre457_250.gif

Carter had been going to the Vaughn's parties for a while now, but this would be the first time she was actually friends with her hosts. This year she had opted for an extremely tight fitting, and well popular costume that realistically wouldn't ever go out of style. Carter had her hair partially pulled back and out of her face with a gold headband that came to a point in the middle of her forehead. She wore gold cuffs on each forearm, and one on her left bicep. Carter had spent most of her money on the cuffs and headband, deciding they were the most important pieces of the costume so she opted to buy a red tube top, and tight dark blue mini skirt which she painted silver stars on. Finalizing the outfit with a pair of knee high red leather boots.

Carter let herself in through the front door of Alaska's house, she wasn't surprised at how big it was, but she was still amazed by how beautiful and big it was. She wouldn't have expected anything less however from the family. She ran a hand through her hair before tossing it over her shouldering and heading towards the kitchen where everyone seemed to have gathered. She found a can of spiked seltzer and cracked it opened, leaning against the kitchen counter looking to see who had shown up so far.

Aaron Ollila

Aaron had heard there was a party, and while some people might have decided not to risk running into any of the people who could possibly still desire to kick their ass, Aaron was a bit distracted by the idea that there would probably be at least beer- It is a high school party, after all.

So that’s why Aaron was at the birthday party of a pair of twins he didn’t know, wearing fuzzy yellow ears with whiskers applied by a professional (aka Casper). He figured if he at least dressed the part tolerance was a possibility, and dressing as a cat was surprisingly easy. He mused over how he never got to wear these shorts as he sipped at his cup full of… something- He didn’t particularly care what as long as it wasn’t drugged- while he sat on the kitchen counter.

He hadn’t been there very long, watching people mill around while he sipped at his drink, when a redhead he was pretty sure he’d remember seeing entered the kitchen, filling a cup and then leaning against the counter, followed by another who he recognized vaguely.

Now, usually Aaron would stay away from talking to strangers, but honestly, without his brother here, even just to worry about, he was bored and, if he would let himself admit it, lonely. So he turned to her, face unreadable, and said, “I haven’t seen you before.”

Casper Ollila

When Casper had been abandoned on College Day, he had worried his blooming friendship had withered. However, here he was, going trick or treating with Neck Tie. Technically, Aaron was supposed to be with them, but he had slipped off a while ago, and maybe Casper should have been more worried, but Aaron had been wandering off on his own more as of late, and while it left Casper a bit sad, he was used to that. So he kept smiling, bouncing around quietly and trying to live in the moment.

Casper had laughed when he first saw Neck Tie hand someone candy instead of the other way around, delighted.

“Don’t you want some candy for yourself?” he asked.

Maisie
tumblr_pjnoiyvGzy1uz4mb8o7_r1_250.gif
Maisie wasn’t sure why she was going in the first place, maybe to meet new people. She’d seen the social media post online, thanks to the phone that Lewis had got her. Maisie found herself actually making an account and replying to people, face-palming at her actual replies. Although smiling at the reassurement of some boy before throwing her phone on-top of the bed she decided to actually get ready, taking a pair of cat ears, and drawn on her face with an eyeliner pen.

She wasn’t going to ask Lewis for an actual costume, nor waste the money she’d made at college day with Rowan. A cat was completely easy and simple. And it helped that she liked the way it looked too. She looked childish, and usually she’d be upset about that stuff. But it’s halloween who isn’t wearing anything childish? Glad enough that Lewis and given her permission to go, although.. she probably would’ve went anyway should he said no. What? Gotta live sometime, right?

Actually arriving at the mansion was surprising, if they had this much money, they should’ve stole from them instead of whoever they took from at the college trip. Jeez. Hardly looked like they were using this stuff. Maisie wandered through the party, realizing that most of the girls here didn’t dress up childishly.. just.. slutty. She was unsure of what to do. Should she talk to someone? instead of just.. awkwardly standing there. Her gaze landed on someone who had the exact same costume as her, granted. Being a cat wasn’t exactly rare.

Upon towards the couch he was sitting at, she realized he was the guy on twitter. Oh. Cool. “I’ve come to catnap you. I mean.. kidnap.” It wasn’t just a silly joke she’d made. Maisie mixed up her words and hated herself for it. Ignoring what she’d said Maisie took a seat next to him. “I'm kidding, i'm kidding." She gave him a hesitant smile. "That's not my name though, uh. I'm Maisie." She held a hand out, attempting to befriend the boy with the matching cat ears. Winona Winona
Raven
tumblr_pluw5qJKas1qgbcj3o2_400.gif
Raven smirked at herself in the mirror. Halloween was the perfect time to dress as slutty as you wanted with a perfect excuse. ‘It’s just a costume.’ Slutty or not, sexy Spiderman looked great on her. Anyone who said otherwise Raven would be convinced they had no eyes. Making a few replies on twitter with an ego just as big she had with herself just mere moments ago. Raising a brow at Barbie’s tweet, maybe she was actually warming up to her. Hmm. Interesting. Shaking off the thought of friends, Raven felt good about tonight. There was no point in sulking, what reason did she have to sulk for? Not daring to think of actual reasons, because she’d actually come up with a few.
Blowing a kiss to Nancy and Abuela before leaving, making sure she’d remember the present she'd got for the birthday girl. It was nothing special, what-so-ever. Raven didn’t care or know about Ryder enough to do the same. But she wasn’t just going to show up empty handed at the little bird’s birthday. Within awhile later arriving at the mansion, by now she was used to the whole rich kids thing. Good for them. Raven’s mind was set on alcohol and letting loose, nothing and nobody was going to ruin it for her.
Quickly finding a drink, that was mixed with.. whatever it was, the point is it was alcohol she was okay with it.
Grace
tumblr_inline_os8mpaNohk1t1nqt6_540.gif
Grace sent a quick text to Sawyer. ‘Getting ready to leave now, I’ll meet you there.’ Grace decided to let David drop her off, if there was going to be alcohol. She wasn’t ready to let Sawyer drink for her should she have to for whatever reason. Grace was feeling a little more confident in her drinking now, it’d been a while and she’s sure that she could handle her own if need be. She isn’t planning on sharing a bottle of Vodka with Ash anytime soon, casual drinking should be fine. It should be. Bonnie and Clyde was a perfect costume for the both of them, Grace thought it’d to cute to match. Simply convincing Sawyer about it wasn’t too difficult.

Besides things with Sawyer had been.. well. Kind of perfect.. rumor or no rumor. That sleepover they’d had sort of put everything in perspective for her, an amazing day all together. Coming home to a very suspicious Kate about it, Grace told her about the Elise thing and she kinda understood. Definitely keeping out the part where she’d slept over at her girlfriend’s, and definitely the fact they’d did more than just sleep.

Not the point. Anyway. She was in a loving relationship, things with her mom weren’t that bad anymore. She’d made up with June. David was just.. David. Other then the rumors, Grace’s life was pretty okay right now. She was happy. What better way to celebrate it by going to a party? Plus. If she’d drank people would either think she’s an unfit mother or not pregnant at all. Grace just wanted to have fun tonight, everyone else be damned.

Thanking David before walking into the party, her gaze traveled past everyone looking for at least a familiar face, landing on Ash she smiled and walked towards her. “Hey.”

“I see you’ve quit cheerleading and decided to work for Ryder at his lovely mansion.” Smiling teasingly, and tilting her head towards her maid outfit.

Westbrook (Were)wolf

Neck Tie hadn’t planned on going trick or treating as Westbrook wolf. But he was still too upset to find a better costume, and he didn’t even want to go at first. Dad said he might as well go since he’d probably be too old to do it next year. So he went with his new friend, Casper the Friendly Ghost. This would be his first time trick or treating as well as his last.

The old woman opened the door. ‘Oooowooooooo!’ the Westbrook wolf howled. He was trying to pass off as a werewolf, even though there wasn’t anything particularly menacing about him.

‘Get off my lawn you hooligans!’ the grandma screeched and sent the boys running back to the street.

So his first Halloween experience of his life did not go as planned. But they had better luck with a couple other houses, who showered them with sweets. The Westbrook wolf reciprocated, living up to his reputation by giving everyone the mini KitKats in return, even those who didn’t give them any sweets. ‘This is kinda fun!’ he told Casper as they scurried along to the next house.

When Casper asked him if he didn’t want candy for himself, Neck Tie chuckled. ‘I’ve got plenty at home. You should see our cupboard. My dad always buys them, especially chocolates. . . He loves them. I do as well! What are your favourite sweets?’

Ash
Lookin UP.gif

She rolled her eyes at Grace's teasing comment. "What can I say? I have to pay the bills somehow, and you'd be surprised at the tips maids get." Ash said before breaking into a grin and laughing. "No, actually, I got this last year and I didn't feel like getting a different costume because shopping for things makes me sick." It was true. Looking at dresses, costumes, anything of the sort would cause Ash's head to spin and she would feel sick and dizzy trying to pick something that people wouldn't make fun of her for, or something that wouldn't make her look fat, or stupid, or-- ... well, you get the point. So last year, her then boyfriend had taken her to shop for a costume, and had picked this out and... here she was now. Probably not the costume to wear, though.

Ash decided that this was not a conversation she wanted to have, but there was one that she did. So she elbowed Grace, giving her a sly grin before speaking. "So tell me, Bonnie, what did you do at your little 'sleepover'? I bet there wasn't a lot of sleeping going on." She'd been waiting forever to tease Grace about this in person.

He looked up as a girl approached, listening as she offered to catnap him, and Drake couldn't help but laugh. "Please, being catnapped sound amazing. Like, I imagine it involving being shoved into a van full of cats instead of candy." He said with a small grin, and shook Maisie's hand. Drake didn't shake a lot of hands -- usually it was a "yo, I'm blah" and then finger guns and-- ... wait, when did that happen? Oh who know, his brain was everywhere.

"I'm Drake. Nice to meet you Maisie. Cool name. It's like... if you took May and you daisies and you just went boom," Drake made a beautiful explosion sound as he clapped his hands together. "And then bamn Maydaisies. Maisie." Was he rambling? Probably. He didn't feel like he was in his right mind, as if he shouldn't be here, and then something dawned on him. "Wait, my fellow cat, you're Meowsie, right? The one who wanted to go trick or treating instead of drinking?"

"You are a woman after my own heart, and let me just say that that's as friends and nothing more because that would be weird. But anyone who puts candy above drinking is amazing."

Adriane
ADRIANE.jpg

She had been casually sipping her drink, her eyes trailing around the party and quietly debating on who she should talk to. Her eyes briefly fell on Mason talking with June, and they narrowed angrily. Adriane was about to go over and remind June that he was hers when out of nowhere, a little kid who shouldn't have even been at this party approached her. Adriane tried to keep the annoyed tone out of her voice, and stopped herself from rolling her eyes.

"Adriane. I went to this school when you were probably still picking your nose in middle school." She said with a sweet smile, and then noticed Carter approach. Her eyes narrowed at Carter, looking her costume up and down in disgust. "Wow, Carter, you really went all out this year, didn't you?" She asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Where did you get that? The dumpster?"

Sawyer
The past two weeks went by fairly well, actually they were pretty awesome. Nothing of note had really gone down at school and her thoughts were constantly on Grace. She probably looked like a love sick puppy following her girlfriend everywhere but she honestly couldn't care less. After their disastrous college trip turned into something so much more enjoyable, Sawyer doubted anything could get on her nerves right now. Except for the fact that she always lost things right before she needed them. Like a fedora that was oh so important to pulling together her costume for Alaska and Ryder's party. Her room was in utter disarray and at this point she had no hope of finding it before she was late. Finally deciding to give up, Sawyer walked out of her bedroom fedora-less only to smack right into the object she was looking for hanging from her father's fingers. Sawyer eagerly snatched it and plopped it on her head with a grin.

"Now, listen to me, Sprout." Oliver said, in a tone uncharacteristically stern, "I don't want you coming home knock out drunk again. Do you hear me?" He rapped his knuckles against Sawyer's forehead twice and the blond girl brushed his hand away with a hiss.

"Yes. Yes. I hear you." She rubbed at her forehead. Oliver let his stern facade drop and stepped aside to allow Sawyer past. With a casual 'be safe' thrown over his shoulder as she disappeared around the corner and out into the front yard. The old clunker she called a car decided it didn't want to start and she was left floundering for a few tries until it finally choked and spluttered to life slowly. She rolled put of her driveway with a text to Grace and made her way to the Vaughn's home.

Sawyer was honestly rather impressed with the decorations inside the house. They'd done a pretty damn good job. She shuffled around the small crowd of kids that had already gathered in search of a certain teammate of hers so she could tell her happy birthday. When she didn't spot her immediately, Sawyer gave up and ended up in the kitchen with a drink in her hand trying to keep herself from stepping on the end of her costume pants that may or may not have been slightly to long. Stupid site had only had one size and Sawyer wasn't exactly built like a guy so here she was struggling to keep her self from cursing at the stupid costume. Alaska had to pop up sometime and Sawyer had seen Ash and Grace talking when she walked in and didn't want to interrupt them just yet so she was content to just chill in the kitchen. Some red head she didn't recognize was also in there with her but she was too busy trying to roll her pants up to where they didn't looks stupid to say anything to her.

~ Hajar Giles ~

Hajar loved the Punisher, a guy avenging his murdered family with violent criminal means because the justice system failed him, if there had been another life for her then she definitely would've been the Punisher there. She looked over the costume for a long moment and slung the messenger bag over her shoulder, adjusting the strap so it fit nicely across her body. The trench coat was actually kind a cool, nothing like the leather jacket she always wore but it made her figure look good. "Alright... Game time." She headed out to her bike and hopped on it, heading off towards the Vaughn house, her mind just wandered freely when she drove. "Oh god...I wonder what the hell he is dressing up as..." She chose a parking space that was far enough away from the house but she could see it in view, watching people heading inside. "This is gonna be a fun night..." She mumbled softly, rubbing her chin, she would wait for her handsome date to join her so they could talk for a minute before heading inside.

Ryder

After the incredibly shitty week he'd had Ryder was more than ready to get drunk, and he knew this was going to be one interesting party. With so many people here he really hoped things would go well, but that seemed impossible. Luckily their mother was gone for two more days, meaning they had plenty of time to clean up the disaster afterwards. All he wanted was to spend time with Ash and relax, hopefully tonight they could have fun and enjoy being a couple without everyone else getting in their way.

As people started to crowd into the house he spotted a familiar head of golden hair, smiling as he made his way over to his girlfriend. On his way over he spotted someone he thought wouldn't have dared to show up, but Mason was busy talking to June and not causing any trouble, so maybe Ryder would let him be. He was desperate to go see his girlfriend, he'd just make sure to keep an eye on him. Mason wouldn't be stupid enough to start something in Ryder's own house, surrounded by his friends. At least he didn't think he would.

"Wow..." Ryder let out a low whistle as he took in Ash's costume. It was...wow. "You look great babe. You too, Grace." He complimented both girls, wrapping an arm around his girlfriend and placing a kiss to her temple. It seemed like all of their friends were here, hopefully they'd all have a great time.

"There's plenty of food and drinks, don't worry we didn't do any of the baking." He joked, knowing the twin's cookies hadn't turned out amazing, besides there was no way they were spending that much time in the kitchen for this many people.

Alaska

giphy.gif

Alaska had been standing beside June complimenting her on her decorating skills when Mason walked up, earning a frown from the brunette. "I'm gonna...yeah." She excused herself, not wanting to be anywhere near Mason and knowing the two probably wanted to talk alone. It was a little weird knowing both girls had kissed him, but Alaska didn't really care about those things, it was just the fact that they'd kissed the same guy mere hours apart. And for entirely different reasons. June had actually liked him.

The party was starting to pick up so she headed to where the drinks were to make herself one. She spotted Raven and walked up beside her to pour herself one, grinning as she took in the sexy spiderman costume. It was pretty great, and almost went with her catwoman costume.

"So, if I'm the bad guy, aren't you supposed to tie me up?" She teased, taking a long sip from her drink.

His date with Rae had gone exceptionally well considering everything else seemed to be a disaster lately, and he was excited to see her again tonight. With this many people in his house an under the influence he was going to need her to distract him from worrying all night. Hopefully, the twins wouldn't get into anymore fist fights. As long as nothing happened to the house they would be alright.

Several girls had already come to say hi and not so subtly flirt with him, but the only person he really wanted to see wasn't here yet, so he poured himself a drink and decided to hangout by the front door with some of his hockey teammates while he waited.

Lexi

Lexi loved Halloween. It was the one day a year you could dress as slutty as you wanted and no one could say anything about it. Besides, there would be free booze and plenty of hot guys. Maybe if Ryder or Ash got drunk enough she could really ruin their lives. There were so many opportunities for destruction, it was just too much fun.

The Vaughn's house was packed by the time she arrived, fashionably late of course, and she slipped her way through the crowd to the kitchen to find a drink. There was that annoying red-head who'd threatened to punch her, and another much prettier red-head she recognized as Adriane. The two didn't really know each other, but she could admire her ability to drag Mason around like a puppy.

It wasn't really a very original costume for Ryan seeing as he was already one, for the most part. He strode over to the mirror. He had worn his father's Hell's Angel leather jacket. He wore leather assless chaps over his black jeans. He had on a red, white and blue bandana. There were about 3 rings on each hand. One on each hand had one skull ring. He wore pitch black aviators with a gold rim. He looked like a biker. He climbed on his bike and away he went. While on the road a few other bikers had joined him on his ride. As he pulled off the highway the other bikers threw him a slight nod, with that they were off.

Ryan pulled up to the Vaughn's house. He was impressed the house was quite large. He was gonna have a field day. "I'm not surprised Ash went for this pansie. He's gotta have some major dough." He thought with his devilish smile. He lit a cigarette and took a few drags before flicking it away. He slowly walked up to the house and walked in. It was an open party, so why not. He was technically invited in.

He walked through the door. There was basically the whole school there. With that many people it was gonna be found. He took a sigh and started to look for Hajar. She wouldn't tell him what she was going as.

Grace

Chuckling at Ash's joke. She nodded understandably. "Mm. I know." Shopping wasn't something Grace hated, but she knew that Ash did. Sometimes she thought she knew Ash better than she knew herself. "It looks cute though." Giving her a thumbs up. Eying her suspiciously when she elbowed her, Grace opened her mouth to reply "I-" and closed it. She dreaded teasing, ever since she asked her if she could cover for her. Grace felt her cheeks redden."We.. uh.. did plenty things." That just made it sound worse. Ignoring her flustered self she sighed and decided to give Ash a real answer instead. "Okay, you aren't wrong. And that's all i'm gonna say." Grace couldn't hold back a smile and avoided eye-contact.

Glad that Ryder came in a few seconds later, her smile widened at their exchange. They were cute, she was glad that Ash had someone who appreciated her. Her best friend deserved nothing less. "Thank you, Ryder. You look incredibly evil." She joked, giving him a nod at his own costume. "That's okay, although.. i think you should try to bake more. Practice makes perfect. Right?" Looking around before spotting the other half to her costume. "If you'll both excuse me, i have to go say hello to my partner in crime." Giving the two a last smile before heading over to Sawyer. Usually Grace wasn't one for PDA. But recently she found herself uncaring, Sawyer wasn't looking in her direction she was trying to fix the pants from dragging at the bottom. And Grace felt a little guilty convinced her to match costumes. Putting a hand under Sawyer's chin, tilting her head up to greet her with a kiss. "Hi." Grace looked her up and down for emphasis on her next words. "Stop worrying about the costume. You look great."

Maisie
tumblr_pjnoiyvGzy1uz4mb8o7_r1_250.gif
Maisie smiled at this enthusiasm, he was so ready to be stolen and she appreciated it. Her smile widened when he shook her hand, maybe she wasn't so bad at this whole making friends thing. He seemed like a nice person to hang out with. "Uh. Thanks." Laughing softly at the rambling about her name, she settled in the chair, something about him just made Maisie feel comfortable around him. He reminded her of herself kind of, it helped that they had the same taste in costumes. She nodded eagerly at the mention of twitter. "Yes, Meowsie is me."

Raising her eyebrows at him and agreed. Getting drunk wasn't as fun to her, she'd done it before, eh. It's okay. "I mean i've never went trick or treating before. So i just thought it sounded kinda cool." She shrugged. Unsure of what else to say, Looking around the party-goers awkwardly. "So you like cats. That's fun." Of course he likes cats, Maisie. He's dressed up as one. Getting hit with an idea of what to talk about. "Oh. Wanna see something cool?" She asked, and scooted closer, and pointed to her eye. "That isn't a contact. cats and I have the eye thing in common." Showing him the multicolor eye she had. "I don't really know why i have it. I think i got hurt as a baby or something. But it's cool, huh?"

Raven

Raven took a much more than a sip of her drink, set on trying to make herself have fun tonight. Turning her head to see the birthday girl heading towards her, Raven's eyes trailed over her from head to toe. Appreciating the costume more than she'd care to admit. Actually, no she'd admit it. Waiting to see if she'd speak first before she said anything beforehand. Staring at her from the rim of her cup as she drank more. Raven almost choked on the drink at her words. Damn. Wow. Okay. Raven kept eye-contact with her, she looked away for a second and if anyone brought up the fact that the blush was clear on her cheeks, you'd die.

Literally die. Raven doesn't get flustered. That's not a thing. She cleared her throat and put the cup down. That phrase 'Cat got your tongue' would honestly probably be the best way to explain why she wasn't talking. After taking a few seconds to recompose herself. She met her gaze with her own. "It depends on how much trouble you want to get into tonight." It could be interpreted as just a flirt. Raven was just honestly curious on what that answer might be. Just for.. reasons. She leaned her hands on the counter in front of them. Narrowing her eyes at her. "I was thinking about changing my catchphrase." Staring at the ceiling in mock thought, before remaking eye contact with a smirk. "Although.. yelling out your name might not the be the best thing to do in-front of people."

She sighed through her teeth when she read her messages then quickly deleted them, clearing her phone was a habit that never ended, always wiped clean just in case. "Might as well hunt him down..." Quickly, she hopped off the bike and adjusted her outfit to the last little bits of perfection then headed down the street, jogging up the steps as she slid into the house, wiggling by already drunk teenagers who were banging the shots back to hard. "Holy hell..." It wasn't that hard to find Ryan because he was well.. He was Ryan and she knew that tall biker in the corner was exactly who she was looking for. "Well... " She came up to him and grinned, giving him a long look up and down before she spoke again, "I guess I can get a better view of that cute ass you got lovely..." She was laughing a little as she grabbed him by the hand, planting a kiss on his lips, "You look hot though, but lets stick away from the Vaughn twins... especially since you threatened to toss Ash out the bus..." She frowned, thinking about the interaction she had started up in the middle of the week but she shook it off, "Lets find somewhere private to talk."

Ash
Lookin UP.gif

She was actually kind of surprised, and Ash was going to continue teasing Grace about it when Ryder came up. "Thank you," she said, blushing at his compliment. "You look..." her eyes trailed up and down him. "Scary." When Grace suggested evil, Ash nodded her head in agreement. "Definitely evil." It was still a really good costume, and Ash's heart may have skipped a beat or two when Ryder had walked up. This guy was doing something to her.

"I'll see you later, Grace." She said, waving good bye to her friend. And Ash would definitely be asking more questions about the sleepover. But for now, she was ready to enjoy the party with Ryder.

"First off, happy birthday." Ash said, pulling Ryder down so that she could give him a gentle kiss before she continued speaking. "Second off, I didn't get you a gift because I am horrible at buying things. And third off, I challenge you to a shots contest." Okay so every time Ash had done this before, it had ended badly for her. But surely she couldn't make any mistakes worse than what she already had, such as... being on a date and then sleeping with a different guy.

Drake
Oooof.gif

He thought he might just die when Maisie said she had never been trick or treating. Even if his childhood had been a series of shitty things, Mason had always made sure they went trick or treating. It was a great way to get candy for the rest of the year, obviously. "Seriously?" He asked, his eyes widening in surprise as he tried to make sense of what she had said. "Okay well, Meowsie, I challenge you to go trick or treating with me. Just around the block, but you have to try it."

When she mentioned the eye thing, Drake scooted to the edge of the couch, looking intensely into Maisie's eyes. Yep. They were definitely different colors and really, really beautiful. "That is really cool." He said quietly, his pale eyes still looking at hers curiously. "And beautiful. Like, you have really beautiful eyes but I mean, you're kind of beautiful, anyway, so I guess it's not that surprising?" He said, laughing uncomfortably at what he said as he scooted back from the edge of the couch. One could only stare intently into someone else's eyes for so long before it just turned uncomfortable.

One of the reasons Jace rarely felt the chains of melancholy was the knowledge that things were rarely as bad as they seemed. Even when he was prepared for the worst, bracing to take the brunt of some horrible doubt that crept into his mind, he was often pleasantly surprised to find that he'd overestimated the world. Of course the replies to his Twitter post were swift and sweet. Westbrook's student body was very active on that particular vein of social media. A slight smile made its way onto his face as he read the first few replies. Even Ash invited him to attend the party, the notification of her message making his heart skip a beat. She was just so sweet.

Unfortunately no one bit when he tossed out the idea of actually going trick-or-treating. It didn't matter that much though, he was already grinning at the exchange he'd just been involved in. The idea of attending Ryder's birthday party was still distasteful, but could he really turn down both Raven and Ash? Just the thought of the cheerleader wanting him to show up was enough to brush his reservations to the side. Even if she probably didn't care all that much.

It was decided. He'd ignore the repeated lessons of every other party he'd been to, show up, and see if it went differently this time. Did that make him insane? Jace snickered at himself, remembering that quote. He was pretty sure he'd heard something about it being a misquote, an inaccurate definition. Whatever, it didn't matter that much anyways. A far more pressing issue was what to wear. Jace actually hadn't anticipated doing anything for Halloween, so he didn't have an up to date costume. Fortunately that problem had a simple solution.

The previous year he'd stalked the shadows as a 'hoonter' of beasts, dressing up after the poster character of one of his favorite games. Most of the people attending the party probably hadn't seen him trick-or-treating out on the town, so it was as good as new so far as they'd be concerned. Twenty minutes and a Victorian trench coat later he was ready.

Nice, albeit slightly uncomfortable boots set an imposing beat against the Vaughns' driveway as he strode up to the house. The tails of his coat flowed ever so slightly in the air behind him, casting a sinister shadow on the ground beside him. Accented fully by the silhouette of the tricorn hat atop his head. Jace was wearing a cloth mask around his neck as well, but neglected to raise it, figuring it'd be harder to socialize if no one could see his face. A choice that immediately came in handy the moment he breezed through the front door.

"Hey, Chase!" Instantly there was a friendly smile on his face. He waved to the older, less punchy Vaughn brother at the door, approaching the senior boy with a cordial attitude wholly unfitting of their status as barely-acquaintances. "You got any drinks that won't get me wasted?" Such a question would've been pointless to ask at a Bryan party. That boy practically breathed drama and lived on alcohol. Chase seemed more responsible though, so maybe he'd be the type of guy to have enough sense to stock something other than hard liquor. A consideration he definitely couldn't give to the birthday twins. Regardless, Jace only slowed down long enough to hear the answer to his question. Chase seemed to be waiting for someone, and the 'moon scented hunter' had a kitchen-side mission to attend to.

Ryan had grinned when she had talked about finding somewhere a bit more secluded. He had looked around and had found a pretty good place. He lead them up the stairs and into a bedroom. It was a fairly simple bedroom. Blue walls with a few things hanging here and there. Ryan knew exactly whos room that was. He had a devious smile written on his face. "How about I give you a better look at that ass that you love so much." He said starting to slowly strip...

~~~~Fade to Black~~~~
Ryan had the biggest shit eating grin on his face. The room that he and Hajar had just shared was Ryder's room. He put all of his clothes back on and opened up his phone. He sent out a simple text. It was the letter "G". He sent it to Aaron, Maisie and Ro. That meant that their plan was starting. "Alright love, Now that the warm up is done... Why don't we start the real fun." He said as he started to look around the room for valuable things. If they got caught he was still proud. He had planted his flag in another man's castle.
