Sawyer
Okay. Cracking eggs. Doing the eggs. Sawyer could totally do that. Eggs were easy, all you had to do was crack and, "Shit." Sawyer cursed u ser her breath when several tiny pieces of eggshell made their way into the bowl in front of her. No big deal. Sawyer glanced over her shoulder at Grace before quickly picking the white pieces out with a fork before continuing. The next egg was cracked entirely too hard and as a consequence the whole left side of the shell fell into the bowl and the contents landed squarely on the table. Okay. So maybe she couldn't do eggs. Sawyer cursed again and groaned rather loudly.

"So, uh, I suck at cooking a little bit." She laughed, grabbing a paper towel to wipe egg off her hands, "I think I cracked it too hard." Sawyer stared at the bowl in defeat and carefully plucked the eggshell out of it, tossing it in the trash, "Come here, before I destroy another one."

Grace pouring flour, adding butter and all that When she heard Sawyer curse, it was far too quiet in the kitchen, so she’d hear whether or not she muttered under her breath. She smiled amused. But wasn’t going to help unless she asked, only turning around right as Sawyer groaned. Grace raised a brow in her direction, waiting for to continue. Laughing softly as she looked at the spilled yolks on the counter.

Obliging when she wanted help. “I’m not gonna do it for you. I’m going to teach you. Cookie skills can come in handy, okay?” Grace grabbed the bowl, rinsing it off before placing it down. Gently pushing Sawyer in front of it. “So.” She started off, stepping behind her and looking over her shoulder. “Grab an egg.” Grace thought about their situation for a second before smiling again. Although Sawyer couldn’t see her at the moment, so odds are she couldn’t get in trouble for teasing.

Grace didn’t hesitate as she made up her mind, taking another step closer, and reaching out putting her hands on top of hers. Lowering her voice considering she was right next to her ear, while moving her hands towards the edge of the bowl. “Gently.” She instructed, tapping against the bowl making sure she wasn’t using too much force. “And then you just break it apart.” Smiling as the eggs contents fell into the bowl. Hoping that Sawyer actually paid attention even if Grace tried to make it difficult. Begrudgingly stepping away from their close proximity, “now you try.” Letting her attempt on her own.

Sawyer
Sawyer groaned again as Grace pushed her back in front of the bowl telling her that she wasn't going to do it for her. Sawyer didn't understand why Grace couldn't just do it be because this was just going to get on her nerves if she tried again. Back in front of the now clean bowl Sawyer begrudgingly listened to Grace but soon forgot her annoyance when the other girl was suddenly pressed up against her back. Sawyer found it hard to actually pay attention when Grace was so close to her and the moment was over entirely too soon as Grace stepped back and told her to try it herself now.

"You say that like I was paying attention to anything that just happened." Sawyer shook herself loose like she was preparing to wrestle and not just crack a stupid egg, "Okay okay, gentle." Sawyer picked up an egg and tried her best to think about how Grace had cracked the stupid thing and not the feeling of her breath against Sawyer's ear. To her surprise she succeeded in cracking to thing without it exploding in her face. Okay. Now just pull it apart, smooth sailing. Sawyer successfully pulled open the shell and the contents fell into the bowl completely eggshell free. She turned to Grace with a grin.

"I have become an expert egg cracker." She stepped forward into Grace's personal space, "Me thinks I deserve a kiss for my valiant efforts." Sawyer pulled Grace toward her into a kiss, discretely reaching around her girlfriend and grabbing a handful of flour as she did so. When she pulled away there was a split second of calm before Grace was met with a handful of flour to the face and Sawyer was running off giggling like a five year old.

"You have absolutely nothing to apologize for." He reassured her, running a hand up and down her back soothingly. The situation had been so overwhelming for her, he hadn't expected her to stand up for him at all. One day she would be able to stand up to that horrible woman, but he would help her through it until she could. He had no problem defending himself.

By the time they'd gotten to the Vaughn's house she'd seemed to calm down at least a little bit. He was sure the taxi driver thought they were crazy as he practically carried Ash out of the vehicle, but he didn't care. The house was quiet except for Luna running up to greet them, her tail wagging happily at the sight of company. The husky followed them into the living room, jumping up on the couch beside Ash when the blonde sat down while Ryder went to go retrieve snacks from the kitchen.

With three growing athletes in the house the Vaughn's kitchen was always packed full of food, so Ryder grabbed a handful of various junk foods he knew Ash liked and brought them back to the sad girl on his couch. "So, what do you feel like watching?" He asked, setting the food down on the table and grabbing the remote before settling beside Ash on the couch.

Chase

Somehow, the twins screaming at some random college professor on their tour of University of Westbrook hadn't scared Rae off from their date later that week. It was a miracle she still wanted to see him, he'd been so awkward the entire time afterwards worrying about what trouble his siblings had gotten themselves into that he'd barely paid attention to the tour. It wasn't like he was going to U of W anyways, and Rae had been sweet enough to try and distract him, which had worked for the most part. It was easy to forget about the chaos going on at home when he was with Rae.

He pulled into her driveway right on time, hurrying up to her front door and knocking. The door swung open to reveal a handsome blond, and for a moment he was surprised until he remembered that it was Rae's younger brother. "Hey, I'm Chase. It's nice to meet you." He greeted, extending a hand to shake. Before they could make awkward small talk Rae came through the door and was practically pulling Chase to the car.

"You ready to make beautiful pumpkin art?" He joked, knowing very well that he was pretty bad at carving pumpkins even though he'd been doing it with his siblings for years. Halloween was the twins favorite holiday since it was also their birthday, so the entire month of October was dedicated to doing as many fall activities as possible. They had probably watched every scary movie ever made already this month alone.

'Hey, we're throwing our Halloween and the twin's birthday party tomorrow night if you want to come? Mads and Phoenix can come too." He said, pulling out of the driveway and heading towards the apple orchard. There was so many in in town considering this was Maine, but he'd decided to take her to the one his family went to. It was tradition and he wasn't going to take his date anywhere but the best place in town. "I can't guarantee there won't be any punching, but I can promise you won't be involved in any of it." He joked, though he truly did hope there would be no fights in his house.

Brooke

It seemed it was just another crazy day at Westbrook, the only close friends she'd had there had left so she was stuck with a bunch of people she didn't know as well. It wasn't that she really minded, Brooke could befriend anyone if she tried enough, but she had been looking forward to spending the day goofing off with her teammates and now there was no way that was happening with the tension around everyone. Honestly she would be surprised if they were ever invited back to tour the campus.

"So, what do you think you'll call your next article? Westbrook banned from field trips?" She joked, taking a seat beside Raven on a nearby bench. At least it was nice outside while they waited, if not a little bit chilly. It was already late October, and that meant snow was seemingly just around the corner. Brooke always loved snow, she couldn't wait for the annual ski trip and Christmas break, her absolute favorite holiday.

"I think it's cool that you write. You think you'll go to school for journalism?" She asked, looking over at the brunette with a smile. Writing was a form of art that Brooke could appreciate, but wasn't necessarily good at. It was an art that could actually turn into a job, unlike painting as her parents had told her time and time again.

"Well then Bryan, I think we could have some fun together." Now that the cheerleaders had pretty much all abandoned her for weak little Ash she needed a new clique to keep her popular, and with Bryan's help she could be back to her high social status by next week. Rumors were the best form of revenge, especially believable ones.

"My name's Lexi, but beautiful works too." The blonde shrugged, smiling devilishly at Bryan as she took his extended hand and quickly got off the crowded bus. She positively hated that stupid yellow monstrosity, but the school refused to let them drive themselves. It was embarrassing to even be seen on it, but it was still better than sitting bored in class with losers all day. Maybe she could find a hot college guy while here.

As the whole drama fest unfolded, Lexi couldn't help but smile as Ash broke down and exposed how weak she really was in front of so many people. She hadn't even had to do anything, the cheerleader was ruining her own reputation. "Must be extra hormonal since she's....ya know." Lexi joked, though she quickly pulled out her phone to type out the tweet anyways.

Ezra raised his eyebrow in confusion. "Um well...I actually don't yet. When I ran away from home I didn't take the time to think about majors", he said instantly regretting his choice of words. It sounded so weird to hear that word out of his mouth but it was true. He could sense the girl didn't care much about what he had to say but that still didn't discourage him from attempting to be friendly. Making friends wasn't his strong suit since he only had one friend his entire life but it can't be that hard right?

He proceeded to learn more about the girl. "Actually I've only hung out with one girl my entire life", he mumbled not sure if he should be embarrassed that it wasn't very social or annoyed that she assumed what kind of person he was. His arms gets pushed away from her shoulder before he held it slightly in pain knowing he probably should have been more caution before touching someone he didn't know. But growing up in a town where everyone knows each other it was normally to greet one another that way. "Boys like me? You don't even know me. Listen I'm sorry I touched your shoulder," he said before hearing about her father. "Who is your father?", he asked wondering about the person who would cut him. "Your cat must have quite the appetite then", he chuckled.

Grace watched as she attempted, and to her surprise she actually did it. “See, you’re a natural. Look at those egg skills.” Smiling proudly. Maybe she was a good teacher after all. Raising a brow when Sawyer stepped closer. “Oh. You do, huh?” Not resisting when Sawyer pulled her closer, kissing her and gazing at her when she pulled away, that sweet. Sweet. Moment was ruined

by Sawyer throwing flour on Grace, her jaw dropped shocked that she even did it in the first place staring at her while she ran away. “Sawyer!” Grace yelled after her, even though it wouldn’t work as she ran away, wasn’t going to let her get away that easily.

Grabbing a handful of flour although being careful not to show it. And slowly approaching her, “funny. That was hilarious. Truly.” Giving her an amused smile. While she wiped away some of the flour off her face, which only smeared it on her cheek but.. it helped. “If it was anyone else I’d probably retaliate. I don’t want to have a flour fight.. help me clean it off and we’ll finish baking.” Grace said with an all too innocent smile.

Sawyer
Sawyer backed up away from Grace as she stalked into the living room and her back hit the wall. She was now effectively cornered. Brown eyes shot around the room like a trapped animal trying to find a route of escape. Sawyer was not about to fall for this faux innocence thing Grace was trying to push on her. When no escape route was made clear Sawyer had to improvise. Her fight or flight instinct kicked in and she reaches out and grabbed a pillow over the edge of the couch and launched it at Grace before taking off again back into the kitchen where she could effectively arm herself.

"You're evil and I'm not falling for your games!" Sawyer yelled from the kitchen, preparing herself for the war to ensue, "You can't just use your wiles and expect me to forfeit, darling." She grinned as Grace re-entered the kitchen, "I'm not a baker but I do have a hella good throwing arm." Sawyer situated herself in front of the flour, blocking Grace's access.

"I love you but you're going down, babe."

Mason

Today, he had decided he would take Ariana out to the park. Together, the two had walked from the horrible part of town that they lived in to a park in the nicer part of the city. Ari had mumbled nonsense the entire time, and Mason had done his best to teach her things, and go over what they were walking by was. It, uh... he wasn't really sure she was catching on, but at least now she really knew what trees were, and the color green, and... yeah.

Now, they were at the park. For a while, Ari had yelled at him to follow her. Just over and over again, "Daddy! Come on!" while she squealed and ran around on the same park Mason used to bring Drake to. He didn't exactly fit through the things very well, but he tried to follow after on the playground equipment as best he could, although he did almost get stuck a couple times. And as badly as he had wanted to cuss while his hips were stuck in a tube, Mason refused to cuss around his child, and instead had to settle for things such as "Oh fudge," and "mother of pearl." Instead of his usual choices.

Finally, after going down one too small slide, Mason had stood up and walked towards the edge of the park, listening as Ari continued to scream and yell, and then she slid down the slide and came running towards him when he heard an all too familiar voice, that was way too happy. Mason looked over at June, the big smile falling from his face for a moment until Ari ran into his leg, wrapping her arms around it and looking up shyly at June from behind the safety of her dad.

"Oh, hey. Ari wanted to come to the park, so here we are." Mason explained, and looked down at the little girl. "Hey, Ari, this is June. She's a friend of mine. Can you say hello?" Ari just shook her head and hid her face from view in Mason's pant leg. He grinned, the smile coming back easily with his daughter here. "Sorry, she's kind of shy around new people. But what are you doing here?" Mason asked, as he reached down and picked Ariana up. Ari just used this opportunity to hide her face in his chest.

Elise
ELISE.jpg

Stu crying made Elise feel a little bit bad but at the same time, it wasn't like he had much to cry about. But Martin was whisking the two of them away to somewhere private to discuss what had just happened, and Elise knew that she was going to need to explain her reasoning for never mentioning her children.

Martin's suggestion to head home, just the three of them, was a welcome idea. The last thing she wanted to do was stick around the college with all of these high schoolers who apparently worshipped the ground her daughter worked on, glaring at her and yelling at her. Still, that wasn't going to stop Elise from pushing to be in her daughter's life, or any manner of other things. The kids could yell as much as they wanted, but it didn't mean Jace or Ash would leave her.

"Martin, Stu, I would like to apologize for not mentioning my children. It was a... brutal divorce, where my previous husband kept both children while I left to New York." Yes, Elise had pushed to take Jace with her, but the courts had denied her, saying it would be "better" for him to stay where he had lived for years. So outrageous.

"Anyway, Stu, thank you for standing up for me. That was very brave of you."

Ash
Sad No.gif

Well, at least being with Ryder managed to distract her and by time they were arriving at Ryder's house, Ash could actually think clearly and had finally stopped apologizing. She was still a little distant as she followed Ryder out of the taxi, thanking the taxi driver probably a few more times and then following him inside. Luna was a welcome surprise, and Ash reached down, petting the dog and smiling a bit as she did before she headed into the living room and flopped down on the couch.

Yep. It was official. Ryder really was the best. "Anything that's funny, doesn't make me cry, or have mean moms." Ash replied as she grabbed some cookies and then leaned back, wiggling into the couch until she was comfortable between Ryder and Luna. And then, as luck would seem to have it, her phone started beeping, and Ash felt like she was going to be sick. Every time something on her phone had beeped before, it had been something bad.

So she pulled out her phone, pulling up the Tweet from Lexi... and felt like she was going to cry again. "No. No. Nope. I'm done." Ash said as she tossed the phone onto the couch next to Luna, and angrily laid her head against Ryder before pulling out a cookie. "I don't know what I did to deserve this, but this year has been the worst year of my entire life. Except for like... dating you, obviously. Only good thing, but I wish it didn't have so much drama attached."

"Thank you for being so nice and not like, leaving me or ignoring me because of all this." It was a lot, after all, and Ash wasn't sure how she would feel if the roles were reversed.

Raven
CA35C303-DDEC-438A-8D03-C32967660569.gif
Raven liked the cool breeze against her face, it relaxed her. The whole weird mom confrontation made her think about her own mother, what even happened to her? She never tried to contact her like she said she would. But then again.. she never did a lot of things that she said she would. Trash mothers seemed to be a thing in westbrook, Elise was.. just disgusting. Raven was ready to rip her a new one, but everyone else stood up for the cheerleader. So she decided to stay quiet, Surprised but grateful that some of them actually stood up for Ash. She had.. good friends. Must be nice to have a group of people care about you endlessly like that, Ash was just.. likeable. Even Raven was ready to yell at Elise, making new friends with people must be an odd drug for Ash.

It’s one of many that Raven don’t use. Speaking of possible new friends, the blonde fron earlier had approached her and took a seat. Smiling amused, from her words. “That’s a great headline. I’ll give you credit should i ever write it.” Highly unlikely that Raven would write anytime soon, but she wasn’t going to tell that to her. Raising a brow when she talked about journalism. It’d been a thing Raven thought about, definitely. But.. it wasn’t really a choice with her. “If by some miracle i get a scholarship, then.. maybe.” Furrowing her brows in confusion when she got an alert on her phone, rolling her eyes at Lexi’s tweet. Quickly typing out a reply. “What a bitch.” She muttered under her breath, and remembered Brooke was next to her, she seemed.. like the kind of the girl that didn’t curse.

“Sorry.” Raven gave her a sheepish smile. “What about you, though. Hmm? What is Brooke..” Raven trailed off and tried to think of her last name. Racking her brain, she only just met her now.. why did she seem familiar? Right. Oh my god. That dumb basketball game she had to write for the paper, well.. she glanced at Brooke. Maybe it wasn’t dumb. Raven chuckled and put her hands up, making a pretend headline. “Brooke Matthews, scoring the winning basket against the East-ridge Eagles.” Turning back towards her. “I remember everything i write i just couldn’t place you until now.” Giving a small shrug, she’d seen her before. She never really looked at her up-close. Hmph. Raven still thought she was pretty. “So, is basketball something Brooke Matthews wants to do?”

Grace slowly made her way closer to her, laughing, but disappointed when her plan didn’t work, grinning as she looked for a way out. Narrowly dodging the pillow she’d threw while Sawyer ran into the kitchen. Rolling her eyes at her words, and entering the kitchen. Grace highly doubted she could get a hit with the flour that she threatened to throw. Raising a brow when she blocked the flour. “Aw that’s so sweet. babe.” Her grin grew into a devious smile. Glancing at the flour at the counter she was guarding before speaking. “Bold of you to assume i didn’t come prepared already.”

Grace gave her a second to panic before she threw the flour she’d been holding at her, effectively landing across her face. She put a hand in the air in victory, laughing hardly while Sawyer was recovering she took the opportunity to get close to Sawyer. “We could call a truce now if you’d like.”

Her laughter died down into a plain smile. “Or we could just say you won..” Grace wrapped her arms around Sawyer’s waist. Almost expecting more flour to be pelted at her but she didn’t care, Sawyer could win whatever battle she wanted, it didn’t matter, at end of it Grace still always won because she had her.

June
She almost forgot how cute kids are until she saw Ari. She immediately found her heart melting as she wrapped herself around Mason’s leg. On top of that, she was shy. Which made her a thousand times cuter. She was glad Mason was trying his hardest to keep her well and safe. “Hi Ari.” She said gently, as much as she wanted to touch her hand or hold her herself she knew she couldn’t. So she still kept her distance. “She’s very beautiful. And I’m here for one of my photography projects.” She said lifting the camera until she realized perhaps it wasn’t a good idea. This was the one he bought after all, right before homecoming happened.

She rubbed her arm as she looked at him. “How have you been?” She asked next.

Sawyer
Sawyer almost threw flour back at Grace when she was pelted but Grace was suddenly in front of her with her arms wrapped around Sawyer's waist and she abandoned all thoughts of war. A low hum eminated from somewhere in Sawyer's chest and she reached up to brush flour from Grace's lips before replacing it with her own. They didn't need to have an all out flour fight anyway. She didn't really feel like cleaning all that up and if her dad came h ok me to flour all over the kitchen floor he would probably be very concerned. Sawyer could imagine the look on his face now. Priceless. But she would much rather be doing exactly what she was doing right now than flinging flour everywhere. Kissing was better. Kissing was most definitely better.

"Hmm." Sawyer pulled away, her eyes staying closed for at least five seconds after, "I think, we tied." Her hands went up to settle against Grace's shoulders and she pushed her back so she could drag her out of the kitchen by her hands, but not before wiping the stupid flour off both of their faces with a paper towel. "I find myself suddenly not particularly interested in baking any more."

At this point they were down the hall and Sawyer was kicking her bedroom door closed. She spread her hands out and fell backwards onto her bed. Had she known this morning that Grace would be here she probably would've cleaned up a little. Sawyer was a naturally disorganized person but it was mainly just her desk crowded with "missing" homework and draw ups of basketball plays that was messy. Everything else was pretty clean the sight of her laundry basket in the corner reminding her that she needed to do laundry at some point before the thing over flowed. Sawyer sat up and grabbed Grace again, pulling her down onto the bed along with her.

"Welcome to the cave. It's very homey." She laughed, "Lots of nice decoration, like that hubcap I stole from the car lot with Ryan one time. Good times. Good times." Sawyer smiled at the old hubcap hanging precariously above her desk that had been there for almost a year now. A memory of before Westbrook decided it wanted to literally explode spontaneously.

"Anyway, I find you a lot more interesting than baking. Tell me something I don't know about you."

"Thanks, I wish I could say she's beautiful because of me, but well... she looks just like Adriane." Yeah, there was no denying that. Ariana was the spitting image of her mother, with the same red hair, the same paler skin, and just everything. She looked like a little fun sized version of her mom. A fun sized, far less bitchy, more tolerable version of her mom. The only thing resembling Mason was that she had gotten his dark eyes. Other than that, it was all Adriane.

"Photography, huh? Like for a class, or for the newspaper?" Mason asked. Yes, he realized that she was using the camera he had purchased, but he didn't really care. It had been expensive, and difficult to get, but he was happy that she was using it and actually doing something that she loved with it. It was nice.

"Hey, can you go play for a moment so I can talk with June?" He asked Ariana, and the little girl nervously pulled her head away from his chest. Mason then set her down and Ari took off for the playground, soon laughing as she played. "Uhh, well, I've been dealing with Adriane, mainly. Ari and I have been staying over at her house, which is nice... I guess. And I'm trying to get her to pay me child support without having to go through the court. So lots of fun parent things."

Grace eyed her as she brushed the flour off her lips, not hesitating to kiss her back, weren’t pleased that they weren’t flinging flour at each-other anymore, much more enjoyable. “Sure, a tie.” Grace teased, after cleaning off, glad that most of the flour was off them both. While she followed Sawyer to her room. Walking inside and eying almost everything that made Sawyer, well, Sawyer. Chuckling when she pulled her onto the bed, laying down beside her. “Ah, yes. The cave.” Nudging her playfully with her elbow.

Looking towards the hubcap she’d stole, and Grace shook her head. Not surprised that she managed to steal it in the first place, turning on her side when she wanted to know more about her. What was something Sawyer didn’t know? It felt like they knew everything about each-other by now. Giving an appreciative hum, good to know that Sawyer thought she was more interesting than cookies. “I’m not a natural blonde.” Turning her head slightly to see her reaction before smiling. “Kidding. I’d never dye my hair.”

Biting her lip in thought, trying to think of something to tell her, turning on her side to face her. “When i was young, i wanted to be a doctor.” She shrugged, maybe young Grace had a better view of the future then older Grace. “A pediatrician though. I thought i could help all the babies.” Laughing slightly.

“Maybe even steal one.” Grace put a finger to her lips as if to keep it secret. She turned slightly serious. “I’ve been thinking about it seriously though, but.. that’s like.. years of work.” No doubt Kate would be on her case about it too, okay. No. Grace wasn’t going to get all serious right now. She was having fun with Sawyer, real world problems can be there later.

Changing the subject to something she’d like to talk about much more. “Did you know I’m hopelessly in love with you?” Grace smiled moving her hand to trace Sawyer’s lips with her finger.

“For class. I already quit going to Newspaper.” Because of a certain someone was in charge of it. “She does have beautiful eyes. They are like yours.” She commented before he let Ari go play. She watched as she ran off, she seemed full of energy. She was happy at least she could still laugh and smile.

Then he started to talk about Adriane. She tried to keep on a poker face as he told her he was staying at her house. Not to mention he was working with her for child support. She wasn’t about to tell him what Adriane told her. She didn’t want to argue anymore. She wished he could see her true colors. But, she knew he probably could. He’s not doing it to save himself. It was all for Ari. She tapped her foot and slowly nodded. “That’s great. I’m glad your doing well then.” She fell into a silence for a moment before looking over at him. “I, uh, have a spot over there. I was going to have a little picnic by myself so I could take more pictures. You and Ari are more than welcomed to come too.” She invited, nodding her head to the checkered blanket that was further away.

Quit newspaper? That was something Mason never though he would hear, but that also meant she probably wasn't dating or talking to Raven. Wow. He had been sure that after what he had done at Homecoming and ending whatever he and June had, she would have run to Raven and the two would have run off like the happy, psychotic bisexuals they were. Instead, he was a little pleased to know that they hadn't ended up together, and then he just felt bad for thinking that.

Right, doing well was a stretch. Mason knew that Adriane had him under her thumb, but what was he supposed to do? He couldn't keep letting her spend most of her time with Lydia, and then spend the little bit of time that she did with Mason at home being surrounded by alcohol and drugs. Adriane was the only person at this point who could provide enough money for the two to make it out of where they currently lived. The price was just losing all of his friends, but if he had to choose between having his friends or Ari being somewhere safer, well... Ariana would come out on top every time, without fail.

"Definitely." He said, a huge smile forming on his face. Probably the biggest smile he'd ever had around June -- no offense. "Ariana always tries to have like, picnics on rainy days, so then we end up having to set up a fake one in our bedroom, and--" Mason realized that he was rambling, and quickly stopped. "Sorry, anyway, yeah. Sounds great."

June was shocked to see him smile. It felt like forever now since she last saw it. Maybe she should have picnics more often. She walked with him slowly over to his set up and smiled when he gushed about their fake picnics in bedrooms. “No, please go on. I wanna hear it, is there anything else she likes to do? I know dress-up or tea parties are a must.” She said remembering how much she dragged her mom around in order to camp indoors or play dress up with her work clothes. She would be a doctor and pretend to check up on her mother using straws and spoons.

“I can split my lunch if you guys haven’t eaten before this.” She said putting her hands together and looking at the wooden basket she borrowed from Grace’s Mom. But she didn’t care, she wanted to hear about him and Ari. Curious what they did together.

It was sad to hear Raven brush off her passion, but she could sympathize with having a passion that was impractical as a job. She wondered if Raven's parents brushed her writing to the side the same way hers did, and it made her sad to realize there were so many people who never got to live their dream. Curious as to what Raven was angry about, she pulled out her phone and saw that Lexi was being...well, Lexi. Thankfully, the sophomore had never done anything to piss the blonde off and had never received the wrath of the infamous life-ruiner. Unfortunately, plenty of her teammates had and she'd had to comfort several of them in the aftermath. One of the reasons she liked Sawyer and Alaska the most out of her teammates was that they were willing to stick up to her, though maybe not the way Brooke would've gone about it.

"Wow, I feel like a celebrity." Brooke joked, though it was nice to be recognized for her accomplishments. Painting was her true passion, but she loved sports and planned to be as active as she possibly could throughout her life, it just wasn't something she wanted to make a career out of.

"Truthfully, I want to be an artist, but my parents think it's a waste of time and honestly they might not be wrong. It's hard to make it as a starving artist, maybe if I get a basketball scholarship." There was still plenty of time before she had to worry about this considering she was only a sophomore, but it was something she thought about often. Maybe by the time she was in college she would have changed her mind about art, but that seemed unlikely.

"Are you going to the Halloween party at the Vaughn's?" She asked, curious as to whether she might get to see the brunette let loose. The Vaughn siblings were well known around Westbrook for the twin's always getting into trouble and all three being generally hot, so their parties were always packed with all the people they knew.

Rowan

Taking the joint back from Maisie, Rowan took another puff and held the cloud of smoke in as Hajar spoke. Robbery at Westbrook University? Sounded sketchy, but when was she ever opposed to such hobbies? She let out the smoke in a cloud and glanced around their group. An odd bunch, she thought, but probably not entirely incompetent. Either way, if anything fishy were to come from the new acquaintances, she was out. The buses weren't all that far away, anyways. "I can be a lookout, sure. I have eyes, so I assume I'm capable enough," Rowan mused with a shrug before stomping out the ash and shoving her hands in her back pockets. If Maisie was in, then she would stay since the girl was the only she could just barely trust. She didn't know her all that much more than Aaron, Hajar, and Ryan, but she knew the girl was at least nice. "We might want to get this done quick, then. They have tours going on all day around here."

Sawyer
Sawyer listened to Grace intently as she spoke. A pediatrician. Huh. Sawyr honestly thought that fit Grace pretty damn well. If she'd learned anything about Grace over the time they'd been together it was that she had a big heart. The thought of Grace helping to save little kids had a smile growing on her face. But Sawyer couldn't help but notice the way she seemed a little apprehensive about it. Talking about her dream like it was some kids fantasy, which it totally wasn't. Sawyer wanted to tell Grace that she was more than certain that Grace was capable of doing whatever she wanted. She had no idea what she wanted to do. That was probably something she should think about seriously at some point. She was getting pretty damn close to her senior year and she had no idea what she was doing with her life. Theatre was something she was good at and was passionate about, but she didn't want to be some kind of movie star and Broadway was as far fetched as the stars, at least in her mind. She supposed she could always try and get into professional sports but that wasn't really something she wanted to spend the rest of her life doing.

Sawyer was shaken put of her thoughts by Grace speaking again. Everything went quiet for a moment. Again, like at the homecoming dance, everything started moving in slow motion. All Sawyer could hear was her own heart in her chest and Grace's breath. Saying I love you was one thing but hopelessly in love was a whole new ball game. For that moment Sawyer found words had completely failed her so she didn't even try. She just propped herself up on her elbow and leaned down to press a kiss against Grace's mouth. She felt that words were unnecessary but she found herself speaking anyway.

"Well I do now. And that feeling is very much reciprocated." Sawyer brushed her nose against Grace's and layed back down, a lot closer to Grace this time. Her gaze focused on the ceiling where shadows danced across the white plain and then shattered when a cars headlights on the road busted through the window. Sawyer's eyes found themselves trained on Grace again.

"I think you should do whatever makes you happy." She threw her hands up in the air and let them fall to the bed again as she spoke, "Like, I think it'd be super cool to be a drama teacher." Sawyer shook her head at herself and chuckled, "I know I'm not really the teacher type but I think I'd be happy doing that. Theater has always been like a refuge for me. I'd like it to be for other kids too." She shrugged. Teaching didn't pay very much but neither did her dads job and they seemed to get on just fine. Sawyer thought that maybe she'd be pretty good at teaching drama. Teaching things you were passionate about was easy, or at least she thought so.

"You'd be a good kid doctor." Sawyer smiled at her girlfriend, a genuine smile rare among the smirks and grins that so often graced her face, but becoming increasingly more frequent around Grace. "Doctor Jackson. Hah."

Carter

Shopping wasn't her favorite thing, but Charlie was excited and she was looking forward to spending time with her and her Aunt. However she definitely wasn't even half as excited as her cousin was. They both had extremely different energy levels. "That sounds like a lot of fun!" The bell rang and another free period for Carter had come and gone, and she still hadn't gotten anything done. "Send me a text with your new address and what time I should come over, okay?" She smiled making her way out of the library, she wasn't sure when she would ever catch up on this project, and was starting to worry that she had made a bad decision making the teacher let her do it alone.

He grinned laughing softly as she shook her shoulder, sliding his arm back over her shoulder, "Honestly there isn't much exciting about me, I play basket ball, but that's about it." He didn't feel like he had any 'fun facts' about himself. He found Scarlet to be so interesting, how was she even interested in a guy like him. He was a jokester, but he didn't think he was actually interesting. Just another jocky guy with a funny bone.

The rest of the tour was relatively boring, but he how comfortable he was becoming around Scarlet did make the tour worth while. Actually getting to spend time with her outside of school. He felt like he was really getting to know her, and hopefully their first date wouldn't be so awkward.

Rae

She heard Mad's answer the door, before quickly realizing what time it was. She had been mid mascara when she heard Chase's voice from the front door. She quickly threw down her makeup, running out the door to stop Madison from saying anything embarrassing to her date. She didn't want him scaring off Chase just yet. Chase's siblings were always getting into fight, but that didn't mean that the Daniel's household didn't have their own skeletons. "By Mads, See you later!" She slammed the door behind them. 'God our parents are lucky he has such a great personality, because with that name.....'

She grabbed Chase by the hand without even thinking, dragging him back to his car. "I'm so glad we're finally getting to do this." She said as she got into his passenger seat. She loved all the fall foliage already in Maine, it was nothing like North Carolina. "I'm not going to lie." She said shyly. "I've honestly never carved a pumpkin" She smiled, biting the inside of her lip.

He mentioned his siblings birthday bash, while Rae wasn't a big partier, she was interested in seeing Chase's house, and would do anything to spend more time with him. "That sounds like a ton of fun, I'll be there." She smiled looking over at him as he drove. She wanted to keep the subject positive, she knew that his siblings tended to stress him out with all the fighting. Reaching over to where his hand rested on the arm rest, lacing her fingers in between his. "So are you dressing up?" She looked down at their hands, her own heart racing, and then looking back at him.

She saw his eyes look sideways over at her, with a smirk but he quickly looked back at the road. She leaned back against her seat. Her smile as big as ever. 'its not going to be bad here after all'

Mason

"Well, actually..." Mason said, a little sheepishly. "Uhh, she's basically just got me and Drake, so she doesn't do a lot of dressing up or tea parties. Like, Drake tries, but she usually wants to be like... Ironman instead of a princess." He explained. Yeah, Drake and Ari played a lot when he was feeling good, which seemed to be rarer and rarer these days.

"We're probably good, we just ate before we can." He explained, then cupped his hands around his mouth. "Ariana! Can you come over here, please?" Mason yelled at her, and Ari poked her head out of a tunnel, groaned loudly, and then slid down one of the slides before running over to Mason and June, where she ran into Mason, wrapping her arms around his neck and staring over at June.

"Can you please say something to her? Just hello?" Mason asked, peeling Ari's arms away from his neck. She sank down into his lap, still staring at June nervously before she finally said "H-Hello..."

Raven chuckled, and nodded. "As you should." She seemed fun to hang out with, the girl piqued her interest and that was saying the least. Raising an eyebrow when she mentioned art. Only made her more curious, one could only hope they'd both get to do the things they'd liked. Her parents were probably just looking out for her, although she didn't agree with whoever they were, on why she shouldn't live out her dream. But good on them for caring. "Don't think about what they might think. If you wanna do it.." She shrugged. "Do it." Raven probably shouldn't of said that, it was probably hard for her to disobey her parents. Another buzz on her phone, she picked it up and read the tweet from Ash. It was a small gesture, but it meant alot. Raven held back a smile and put her phone away. Not wanting to seem rude in front of the blonde.

Oh yeah, that halloween party. It was Alaska's birthday, so she'd probably go.. Ryder's too. But she didn't care much for him, no offense. "I'm planning on it." Eying her curiously, "Why do you ask, care to match costumes?" Raven teased. She wasn't even sure what she might wear, probably something superhero related. Yes, Raven was secretly a little bit of a geek. What no-one knew won't hurt her.

Maisie

Maisie gave a nod to the three she'd just met. Acknowledging their names, an amused smile came across her face at Rowan's statement. Appreciating the sarcasm, and a little impressed that she wasn't in the least bit intimidated by the scarier couple. However Maisie wasn't exactly sure how'd she'd help in this scenario. "I have eyes, too.." Shaking her head. "I mean, I could be a look out too." Glancing at each of them. "Or like.. whatever, you want me to do." Giving a small nod.

Grace

Grace leaned into the kiss, giving a pleased hum when she pulled away. Smiling at her when she settled herself closer, and gave her advice. It sounded so simple and easy, but maybe it actually was? Despite the thinking about her own future. Grace could totally see Sawyer as a teacher, definitely she'd be everyone's favorite, and whoever didn't like her would.. probably be afraid of her. Win-win for Sawyer's situation and who knows? Maybe they'll sneak off sometime into the costume closet for old times sake. Yet she was still thinking about her own future but with.. Sawyer. She shook the thoughts off, being a teenager with feelings was very difficult sometimes, remembering that they were only just children in high school that line that became very blurry whenever she was with Sawyer. But than again, who doesn't think about their future with their first love?

Putting a hand under her chin so they could face each-other properly. "Well.. i think you're a teacher type, even if you don't. You'd make a great teacher." Grace would be lying if she said she wouldn't be considering the whole doctor thing. Raising a brow at the name. "Doctor Jackson, hm." Repeating her words. Picturing Sawyer as a teacher made her smile widen. "Miss Andrews. I can assure you, all the students will love you."

June
June has officially died. Not literally, but she felt like her chest was exploding for the love of this girl. “That’s. So. Cute.” She said before looking down at her set up. She sat down and watched as Ari came running to them. Of course she was shy and she didn’t hold it against her. But, she was shocked when Ari said hello. She probably should’ve asked how old Ari was, but she assumed 2 years remembering the story Mason told her. “Hello.” She said to the little girl. She was so cute. She looked at Mason before gently reaching out and gently touching her arm. Then she held her hand out to her. Although she was nervous about what Mason might do considering how angry he was the last time they spoke.

Sawyer
The smile and Sawyer's face was quite possibly the largest smile she'd ever produced and it wasn't going away any time time soon. At the mention of all the students loving her Sawyer rolled on her side so she could place a hand on the side of Grace's face. She hadn't bothered with the lights when they'd come in so the only thing illuminating Grace's face was the street lights filtering through the window and the night light that had been plugged into Sawyer's wall since she moved here. Sawyer was suddenly hyper aware of how soft Grace's skin was. Her breath become long and slow and she leaned in to kiss Grace at least three times before pulling away fully again.

"You're beautiful, you know?" Sawyer grinned softly, running a thumb over Grace's cheekbone, "Such a catch." Before she even knew she was doing it Sawyer's other hand snaked around Grace's waist and pulled them impossibly closer. A tingle shot it's way down Sawyer's spine when she leaned in to kiss her again.

"I am also hopelessly in love with you." And she was. Things had been a lot different for Sawyer since Grace came around and she couldn't be more thankful for it.
