Claire didn't know what she remembered most. The sound of the wheels screeching to a halt or the sound of the screams of her parents. It didn't matter though, she still had nightmares about it. The day when her parents disappeared from her life, taken away when they we're pulled away from the world by a speeding vehicle . No one expected this, no one ever expects anything like this. Claire still remembered it, she'd only been sixteen. She could visualize clear as day the shops around them. The sound of the city, the struggle of trying to keep track of her three siblings as her parents walked across the street toward them, since they'd accidentally gone ahead. They'd just gotten out of dinner, it was supposed to be a good day, a family day. Instead when an idiot was going speeds they weren't supposed to be going when they weren't supposed to be going at all, changed their lives forever.
Alright so the idea is the Leon family was stricken by tragedy six months ago when Michael and Natalie Leon we're killed by a driver going to fast through a red light while they were visiting New York City. This happened while their four kids stood on the sidewalk less than twenty feet away. My character Claire Leon is their oldest child, now 18 and her three siblings are now her responsibility after adopting them post aging out of the foster system. Most of the plot is basically the kids adjusting to life without their parents. (I do expect most posts to be around a paragraph)
About the family-
They lived in a house in London before the crash but after their parents died and they traveled back to Europe they we're put into the foster care system. Now after Claire having been able to pull them out since she's now 18, they live in a three bedroom flat. I don't care what the ages/genders of her younger siblings are as long as they are younger than her. Their mother was really blonde with brown eyes and their mother had medium brown hair with green eyes.

Personality/History~
Ever since Chloe was young she's tried to be the responsible one. Since she was older than her siblings she saw the stress that having four kids caused her parents and often tried to relieve as much of that as possible. As a result of this she grew up to be quite independent and had gotten used to watching her younger siblings. When their parents died however it was still a huge shock, and caused her to grow up and mature much more and much faster than she already had. She tries to be as nice as possible though she doesn't have an issue dealing with people who are being rude to her family members. After they literally watched the accident that killed their parents later that night in the hospital she grew protective of the rest of her family quickly sine the very real possibility of losing them became clear to her.
After their parents died, Chloe was only in the foster care system for a short time and only ended up staying with one family (this may be different for the other siblings). She tried not to make any trouble, staying in her room, doing her school work etc. Though she did grow attached to their dog, which is probably the only thing she misses from the foster home. Being separated from her siblings while they were in the foster homes was hard for her though through her conversations with her social worker she was aware that she would become their guardian once she aged out (the other siblings were not aware of this) so she kept optimistic. During the month where she was out of the system before becoming their guardian Chloe was a bit of a wreck but adjusting to living without the support of parents. She currently works at a retail store during the day and three to four days a week she works nights as a waitress. She was living in their current flat for about three weeks before the other kids were released into her custody and was able to save up some money to begin to take care of them.
