Basically, my question is what exactly is dice roleplay and how does the system work? I'm sorry if there's a thread already explaining this type of subject - I didn't find it c;

To further the post by Ayl, Dice Roleplays are games that utilize dice to help make decisions within the game. Typically with a dice game, no matter how basic they are, there are typically numbers or some way of measuring statistics for a character. This way by rolling a dice, we can see whether a character succeeds or fails. This makes results in a roleplay no one was planning for (our epic god paladin managed to fumble his sword?) among other things.

As for a system - it depends on the system you are playing. There is an untold amount from the classic favorites (D&D, Pathfinder, Warhammer, Shadowrun) to the customize ones people create. So how you play a dice game comes down to what system you are using.
