Caleb shook his head as he realized the weights on the machine were lighter than he was used to. He cast a glance in the direction of the weights, seeing that they were set to about ten pounds. Lifting a brow, he wondered what lightweight had been using this machine before him. Reaching over with a slight scoff, he readjusted the weights and started his reps again, enjoying the feeling of the burning in his arms.

He wasn't usually one for eavesdropping, but he'd spotted the two people he knew on the way in, along with the third that he didn't. She had been covering her mouth with her shirt, and it had struck him as odd considering she'd come in here on her own. If she didn't like the smell, why be in here? He found himself slipping into her mind as he did his reps, and her thoughts were echoing her words. Is this a joke?

At the same time Amelia flung a weight into a wall, he dropped his arms, the weights crashing down onto the rest of them. He spun on his heel, looking at the girl, though said nothing as Amelia was grating into her. "A joke?" He finally echoed, stalking a little closer to them, his eyes on the new girl. "What is wrong with you?"

Arianna smiled at the girl who introduced herself as Alys. Just as she'd suspected, her guess was wrong, and Alys told her that her power lay in illusions. "Ooh, that's nifty." Arianna was a curious person, and she loved knowing how people discovered their powers. But she'd been burned more often than not by people either just glaring at her, or telling her flat out it wasn't her business. For a while, she'd been confused, until Caleb had asked her how she knew about her powers.

She remembered blanching at his question, wondering why he'd ask her that when he already knew. But then realization had struck, and she realized her questions had been insensitive. So she'd stopped asking outright. Not about to start again now, she shook herself and smiled at Alys again, giving her a small shake of her head. "I am definitely not telepathic. Caleb is, though." She realized she didn't know Caleb and grinned sheepishly. "Nevermind. You'll meet him. No, I conjure storms aka control the weather. Nowhere near skilled with it, though." She grimaced, then shrugged. "Ah, well, that's what we're here for, right?"

She glanced out towards the room as the girl did, looking at the people she'd come to know and a few that she didn't. "Less than a year." She answered Alys' question, a little more somberly than before. "You get used to it, though. Being here, I mean."

Before Russell could answer the brunette's questions, a girl with inky black hair walked over and butted in the conversation. "A joke? You think this is a joke? Did you not just walk in here and witness a man lift ten tons? Is this a joke?" she asked, flinging a weight that was laying on the floor into a wall. "You should feel lucky to be here," she finished in a quieter tone.

Persia tried to stifle her laughter, but she couldn't. Instead, she calmly laughed, which was more alarming than a psychotic laugh. "Oh, I'm so sorry for being concerned about this situation. I mean, everyday, you must wake up to find yourself in a strange place and be told that you're dead!" she snaps, sarcastically.

She throws her arms up with an amused smile. "I don't know about you, but I have common sense that tells me that this is sketchy."

She then noticed a boy looking at the three of them "What do you want? Go back to doing your fucking business."

The hulking mountain of meat smiled at the new girl's pun. Most of the new recruits were scared of him since he was physically so big but she didn't seem to mind at all. Before he could speak to her concerns however, Amelia spoke up. Russel made not attempt to hide the frown from his face at how hostile she was being but he also understood why she was acting that way. Thunder meant the world to her and someone questioning that was like someone questioning her very existence.

Russel just stood by and let Amelia have her moment. When the new girl threw her arms up, as soon as she even began the motion, Russel had taken on a defensive stance. He didn't know what this girl's power was and he subtly moved to stand between the two women in case Persia decided to attack Amelia. Russel may not always agree with her but he would protect her with his life. The two had grown to be quite the strange pair in his time at Thunder.

When a voice began speaking from behind Russel the hulk turned around to see who it was, his chest still puffed out to seem intimidating. When he saw that it was Caleb the man relaxed and let out a small breath, rolling his shoulders with a loud pop. "What brings you here Caleb? Want me to spot you while you do some lifting?" He chuckled and winked at the other, turning his attention back to Persia. "I think everyone here just needs to chill out. She's a newbie, she's not trying to piss you guys off. Because that would be very dumb of her." Russel hoped his words were enough to tell the girl that she should be more careful about what she said to whom. Especially when people with super powers were walking around.

"You know, you're going to wear yourself out being worried about every single little thing. You're new, you've got a lot of time to figure everything out. And Amelia and I are always here to help out." Russel grinned and put a massive hand onto the girl's head, messing her hair up a little bit. He knew Amelia would be upset that he'd volunteered her for something but she would get over it. It wouldn't hurt her to try and make a friend.

Deangelo Corsair

Dylan-OBrien-Favorite-Music-Movies-Sports-Biography.jpg
Deangelo merely waved at the hunky babe that had been introduced to him. He didn't look at the guy or anything, his focus completely transfixed on Maggie's plate of food. He was still shoveling food from his plate into his mouth all the while.

After a few more minutes of uncomfortable staring Deangelo finally decided he knew everything about the girl he would ever need. From the way she ate to what she ate, it was all very telling. He shuffled his feet back over to the small group of people that was forming. He gave a small wave as if he hadn't seen them for a long time. Deangelo first approached Rod and pushed the empty plate into the guy's belly. "Would you throw this away for me?" Whether or not the cowboy actually grabbed it would be something Deangelo would never figure out. He let it go and turned to Augustina.

Now that he was full he needed a nap. The narcoleptic shuffled his feet towards the shorter girl and once he was beside her he rested his head on her shoulder. And just like that, the man was instantly asleep for better or for worse.

Dominic nodded at Angelina after she told him not apologize for snapping at her earlier. She seemed to have forgiven him already; for some reason, he felt slightly happy about that. He didn't have many friends here at Thunder, in fact he had none, and Angelina was one of the only ones to actually speak to him outside of a mission. It wouldn't be very smart of him to antagonize and push her away. He made a silent vow to try and be a bit more considerate towards her.

He watched her grab a Desert Eagle off the wall. She complimented his shooting and he simply nodded again; normally he would have made some cocky remark but he decided it would be best for him not to at the moment. The girl stood in front of the shooting range, preparing to offload a couple of rounds into another target. Sharp, piercing noises echoed around the cavernous room as she shot the target. However, he noticed the angle of her arm and wrist were slightly off; the slight annoyance in her expression after she finished was waranted, as she hadn't managed to hit her target in the center like she had hoped.

While it was accurate, it wasn't accurate enough. ''That was not bad. You may want to angle your wrist up a bit more and steady your hands.'' He took the gun from her, shut his left eye, and mimicked her hand position. He then moved his wrist up a bit before letting off a shot. The bullet tore through the dead center of the target, though, he showed no emotion as if he hadn't even shot the gun. He then handed it back to Angelina and took a step back. ''Like that.''

Luca turned his gaze to the newcomers August introduced him to. One of them, the one August introduced as Deangelo, looked very familiar. His features reminded Luca of one of his fellow Level Two agents, a surly rule-follower by the name of Russel Corsair. The likeliest conclusion was that this new Level Five recruit was the brother Thunder had declared officially dead when they’d inducted Russel. IN Luca’s eyes, that was just another offense to add to his growing list of reasons to be distrustful of his “superiors”. Seeing that Deangelo was too focused on shoveling into his mouth and staring holes through Maggie Hart’s plate, Luca turned his attention to Rodney. He knew that Maggie wasn’t new; he’d spoken briefly to her before, so there was no need for Luca to introduce himself. Rodney, to Luca, could easily be described as a patriot to his home country, and a man who was straight out of the country himself. Because of that, Luca made note of him. His patriotism could lead to a shared desire for freedom, and a possible ally in his plans for rebellion.

“It’s nice to meet you both,” he said, dipping his head in a respectful nod to the both of them, and to Maggie, who stood off behind them. Only a moment later, Deangelo rudely shoved his empty plate at Rodney and turned Augustina. His next action shocked and confused Luca, seeing as it was the first time Luca had ever seen someone fall asleep so quickly, or in such an…unusual way. The young recruit dropped his head onto Augustina’s shoulder, and then he was out like light. Luca cocked his head slightly, and then raised an eyebrow at August, showing that he was amused by the recruit. Some in the facility would see the kid’s fatigue as a debilitating weakness, and avoid him for it. And some guys would’ve been irritated seeing another guy sleeping on the girl that they liked, but Luca didn’t. Wasn’t. Probably because he didn’t feel worthy of August, and because he knew the kid’s intentions were just to find a spot to lay his head, no matter how unusual of a place it was.

“Something tells me his power has something to do with sleep,” Luca mused.

This was maybe one of the oddest situations she's ever found herself in. For one, she wasn't very tall, so he couldn't have been comfortable like this, but she's never had a boy fall alseep on her. But, since he, I guess, wasn't really doing anything inappropriate, August decided to just let him stay there for a few minutes. To bad she wanted a drink. Anyway, when Luca spoke again, she nodded without looking up. Him being there was making her face start to feel hot .no.doubt she had some sort of blush going. True, it could just be explained by Deangelo, but she would have done something if it really bothered her. "Yeah... I agree. Or he's just a narcoleptic." Either way, there was a boy who she really didn't know, alseep in her shoulder. Anyway, now that was was a thing apperantly happening, she looked back at Rodney. See, she would have said something to Maggie, but she could also insert herself into the conversation anytime she wanted. So August was determined to keep up the conversation with the new guy. "So, where are you from? I'm going to guess somewhere in America."

Amelia hadn't realized there was anyone else in the weight room, but when Caleb appeared out of the corner of her eye she recognized him as the mind reader of the group. An interesting power for sure, but not something that Amelia would want to have. She didn't like most people, she didn't need to know what they thought of her. Plus, it seemed like a good way to lose friends, reading their minds. You know, if she really had any to lose. He agreed with her, though, and that made her have at least a small sense of respect for him. He was a level 2, so maybe she would have to allow him to come out with her one day. With Russel, of course. She wasn't even remotely nice enough to deal with him one on one.

Amelia wanted so badly to smack this girl in the head and scream at her. This was not a joke. This was their lives. Her life. What did that even mean, "sketchy"? It wasn't like she was on the "bad part of town" or something. She had just been initiated into thunder, and she had to know that she had a power? Right? If she knows that then this is not the craziest thing that should have ever happened to her. Russel stepped between the two, which low key irritated Amelia but she also knew it was part of his..."job", if you could call it that. Amelia could sense that even though Russels words to the new girl were calm, they were still a warning. Hopefully she would understand that.

Although it did through off Amelia to have been offered for help. She was so very clearly not the helping kind. The girl knew that, she hoped. She was not looking forward to being a newbies little "guide". That could be someone elses job, not hers. She took a deep breath before speaking, trying to regain herself. "I'd watch what you say around some of the people her, new girl. Some of us are alive because of Thunder," she said in a short, clipped tone. "And some of us don't appreciate people thinking that that is a joke."

Vienna touched her stomach when a sharp pain came along. Okay, okay, let's find the cafeteria. She thought to herself since she was beginning to get hungry and was tired of walking around the hallway. Vienna walked downstairs until she found the cafeteria. She opened the doors and went inside, on the hunt for food. She had never seen so much food in her whole entire life since she has been here at Thunder. Vienna didn't see much people in the cafeteria which was good for her. Vienna walked over and grabbed a cheese sandwich and a cup of fruit and headed towards a seat after she swiped her card. Vienna took a seat and ate her food in peace. When she was done 30 minutes later, she got up, cleaned her area and left the room.

Vienna looked up and down the hall but saw nobody. She shrugged her shoulder and headed towards the gym area. When she got there, she opened the doors and went inside, seeing a lot of people working out and training. She decided to head over to the treadmill and she pressed start, and began to run. Vienna gradually increased her speed ever five minutes.

"A joke?" A boy that was looking at them earlier finally echoed, stalking a little closer to them, his eyes on Persia. "What is wrong with you?"

Persia looked at the boy and snickered. "Mind your own business instead of fucking eavesdropping on people." Her broken brown eyes stared at the boy's soul. "This is between A--" she pointed to herself, "B--" she pointed at Russell, "And--"

"You know, you're going to wear yourself out being worried about every single little thing. You're new, you've got a lot of time to figure everything out. And Amelia and I are always here to help out." Russell grinned and put a massive hand onto the girl's head, messing her hair up a little bit.

Persia scowled as she stared at the boy who butted in earlier. She hated these types of people who thinks they're better than everyone. It isn't Persia's fault that she finds this hard to believe. She's 100% sure that he also thought it was a joke when he was first brought here.

Persia sighed. "Alright, fine." She took a deep breath. Might as well be friendly, at least. Her eye twitched as she faked a smile. "Persia Trust," she said to the girl and boy, gritting her teeth.

She hoped that they would just ignore her and keep on hating her, because she doesn't need anyone who discriminates others because of their titles.

Persia had a long history because of that.

"I think I died," he tells her, and she can tell from the hesitance in his voice (besides the look in his eyes that contains zero recognition) that he has absolutely no idea who she is.
"I think so too," Clara replies, amused. "Otherwise I wouldn't forgive you for forgetting me." She's glad to see him back on his feet, regardless, and tells him as such (though she doesn't miss the obvious fact that he has to have two nurses holding him up). She nods her head at the invitation, tilting her head towards him to silently ask if that's alright with him.
"Let me help," she says, gesturing to him, though she doesn't make any move to help them physically. No, she's too short to provide any useful support. Instead, Clara focused on him for a brief moment, using her power to loosen gravity's hold on him and lessen his weight until it feels as if they are holding up a large child rather than a fully grown man with muscles to boot. Lucas himself wouldn't feel much different seeing as he wasn't quite standing properly. She knows these two nurses, at least by sight from her own trips to the healing ward so they aren't caught off guard by the sudden change, only smiling their thanks.

"So, do you know when Thunder is having you back on assignments? I miss teaming up with you," she asks, leading the way a couple of steps ahead and to the left so she won't get in the way of his aides. The conversation consists mostly of small talk, dipping once and a while into personal things as she tries to jog his memory discretely, glancing over her shoulder every so often to keep her power in check. She's careful not to go too far just yet, she knows in his mind Lucas only sees her as some random colleague rather than a friend and probably wasn't very comfortable around her. "Care to guess my name?" Clara asks playfully in one lull in the conversation. It's a running joke between her and Blitz whenever he remembers her. She makes it a point to always ask it in the few times he's died since befriending her, with hilarious -and confusing- results when she goes along with wrong answers. They always have a laugh over it whenever he remembers and she likes to tease him over some of his more questionable name choices. There is a deeper meaning to it, not that she's ever said it aloud. Maybe if she keeps repeating this, the very question itself will remind him of her. It's a long shot and wishful thinking running on pseudo science, but he hasn't failed to remember her once and she'd like to keep it that way.

Angelina was going to take another shot when Dominic’s voice caught her attention. She looked over to see him walking towards her. Angelina let him take the gun. She needed as much help as she could get and with him being the best she would definitely observe his technique. She crossed her arms over her chest as she watched him intently. His stance was the same as hers but he had positioned his wrist in a certain way. Angelina watched as he fired the gun and hit the target dead center. “Show off.” She said playfully as he handed the gun back to her. “Thanks for the little tip. Okay let’s try this again.” She said . Angelina moved to a different target and positioned her body the same as before. The slender assassin steadied her hands and angled her wrist just how Dominic had. When she fired the bullet hit dead center. She lowered her gun and turned to Dominic. “Did you see that? Of course you did.” Her smile was wide and bright. “Thanks Dom.”

Caleb didn't like to let his temper get the best of him, but this girl was just grating on his nerves in the worst way. She told him to mind his own fucking business, and said that Thunder was sketchy. That she had common sense that told her so. "Your old life is dead." He clarified, his voice a low rumble in his chest. "You, however, are very much alive. And it's thanks to Thunder that you are so, because they could have-- and maybe should have-- killed you." He let his words linger in the air.

Russel was giving the girl a hard time, but in a teasing manner. He watched in disbelief as the assassin actually reached out to ruffle the girls hair, causing her to scowl. She took a deep breath and for some reason thought that reintroducing herself to him and Amelia would help her case. He stared deadpan at her for a few moments before crossing his arms over his bare chest, lifting one eyebrow. "Caleb." He replied, not bothering to give her his last name.

"What exactly is your power, Persia Trust?" He asked, though not to be polite.

"Caleb," He replied, not bothering to give her his last name.

"What exactly is your power, Persia Trust?" He asked, though not to be polite. "Air Manipulation," she replied, not bothering to give any details about her power, but she indirectly threatened him. "You know, I can blast you to that wall in mere seconds and stab you with wind blades."

She winced. Her mouth ran away from her again, but she decided that this "Caleb" won't use his powers to fight her, since we're not allowed to fight others with our abilities here. She read the rules, kids.

Persia had kept her power hidden from those around her when she was alive. She was afraid that her powers would cause more reasons to call her "freak" or "monster".

She caught a frown on her face, so she shook it off, and replaced it with a poker face.

"And what is yours?" she asked, bitterly.
Jax blinked, and stared at the sushi on a plate. "No way..." he keeps mumbling. "I'm... dead?"

He tries to recall what happened, and internally shrieked like a girl. He's dead alright, but because he killed himself with a noose. He made like a Sayori (Doki Doki reference) and hung himself.

He pinched himself hard, it hurt, and shouted a bunch of curses in korean. "똥! 이게 뭐야!?"

A bunch of weird looks were given to him as they walked past.

Now that he mentioned it... he had a vision like this once. That he was dead... and that he was in this very room. Many people kept saying that he's in Thunder and such. He pondered over it for months, wondering what that might've meant.

He bit his lip, grabbed some chopsticks, and started to eat some Japanese sushi, miserable.

Dakota stood on the ledge where the new recruits had been just moments before, clasping the rails with her perfectly manicured fingers as she gazed down at everyone. She liked this, being higher than everyone, so that she could see it all. She saw some kid seem to fall asleep on a girls shoulders, as the girl conversed with someone who looked awfully southern. Not that there was anything wrong with that, but Dakota had a bad habit of judging people before she knew who they really were.

There was a guy near her who was surrounded by another Thunder member, along with a couple of nurses. She eyed that group for a few seconds before turning her attention elsewhere. She spotted Arianna talking to someone she assumed was new, and made a face. Though Dakota did like Caleb, she disliked the girl he viewed as family, wondering what was so special about the storm girl. From what she'd heard, the girl was an emotional ticking timebomb. How that was useful to Thunder was beyond her.

Clad in a pair of skinny jeans and a tank top-sweater pair, complete with a set of heels, she looked pretty normal. And that's why she considered herself one of Thunder's top assassins. She has alot of blood on her hands. Despite the fact that she'd good with a knife, her true strength lies within her ability to appear normal, get close to someone, and find out their weaknesses with just a touch. Smirking slightly to herself, she continued watching, waiting.

After his companion had hit the target in the dead center after his expert advice, she celebrated with a gleaming smile. Dominic noticed that she seemed extremely pleased with herself. He rarely expressed delight over doing something as simple as marking a target accurately, but he assumed it must have been a rare occurance for her. He nodded curtly as a response to her smile.

Lifting up his wrist, he checked the time on the black digital watch. Judging by the time, he was fairly sure that the Thunder ceremony for the new recruits was coming to an end. He and Angelina hadn't stuck around to speak to any of them, not that he was complaining. He could have cared less about them; all he was worried about was leveling up in this organization so that he would eventually be able to leave the facility. That was one of the things he envied about Caleb, the mindreading level one Thunder assassin. The man was able to come and go as he pleased, given the luxury of having his own place to stay rather than sleeping in the Thunder dormitories every night.

I will get there one day. Dominic told himself this often whenever he grew impatient with his progress. Though, it was only a matter of time before he got to that level. He was already at level three. Just two more to go.

He turned to Angelina after returning his gun back to the weapons rack. ''I believe the ceremony should begin wrapping up soon. We should head back to the main hall.''

Alys BarrowAlys returned the girls smile. It was contagious. And then Arianna mentioned there really was a telepathic person around. The thought of having someone able to get into her thoughts made her panic. The idea of having to meet this guy was alarming. What do they do in the world of fiction? Picture brick walls? Yeah. She'd have to do that.

"You control the weather?" Alys' brows with surpise. "That's actually kind of amazing." Alys could pretend like she controlled the weather but it would take a lot of power she didn't currently have. Not only that but her illusions were only visual. No one would feel the window blow through their hair, the heat from the sun gracing their skin, or the cold rain falling from the sky.

Alys could tell the conversation took a different turn when she'd asked how long Arianna had been here. A year, she'd said. Alys had only been here for a day and felt trapped. She had imaginary wings that needed to stretch. Thunder was like a cage. Like Jesse.

"I guess I don't have any choice in the matter." She gave an unconvincing smile.

Maggie HartMaggie was getting the creeps from Deangelo staring at her while eating. She was about to flip him the bird when he got up and headed towards Rod and shoved his plate at him. Her mouth quirked up as a question formed in her mind. 'Was she really seeing this?' If only she had access to Allen's database to look through people's files but the little shit had found a way to keep her out. When the kid actually fell asleep on August was when Maggie burst out laughing. Thunder had actually recruited a narcoleptic. What geniuses they were.

Luca said something and Maggie looked at him, he'd just nodded at her. She rose a thin brow at the guy, not returning he nod. As conversation turned towards Deangelo's power, Maggie had to agree with August....and Luca. "Definitely narcoleptic."

Maggie was grinning when she caught sight of Dakota standing where the new recruits had been. She looked the girl up and down and found a bad taste had come into her mouth. That girl was a straight up bitch. Bitchier than herself and that was saying something.

"Noobs. Noobs as far as the eye can see," Crimsyn said sarcastically, having snuck up behind Dakota silently a moment beforehand.

He stepped forward, leaning on the rail with a casual sort of indifference. The ambient lighting made his infamously bright hair almost appear to glow, which lit up the mischievous smirk on his pale face.

"Picking out your new enemies already?" he asked her with a slight laugh, following her gaze to the crowd of people going about their day. He noticed the brooding form of Damien off to the side, and watched as he scared a young-looking boy in a paper mask half to death.

Aside from mask boy and a very stereotypical looking American, the rest appeared to be your standard Thunder recruits, and Crimsyn was sure most of them would catch on rather quickly.

If that was a good thing or not, well, he wasn't really sure...

Luca waited quietly by August’s side for Rodney to respond. Deangelo still slept peacefully on the short pyrokinetic’s shoulder, and Maggie continued to eat where she stood, an amused look on her face. At least, until she spotted someone she clearly didn’t like. Luca followed her gaze to see Dakota Troyanos and Crimsyn Revenge, two Level One agents. He didn’t really have much of an opinion on either, as he rarely saw or interacted with either of them. Level Ones never wasted their time conversing with lower level agents unless Thunder’s leaders told them they had too. Amelia was slightly different than most in that respect, but the only reason she spent so much time fraternizing with the lowers was so Russel could follow her around like the obedient dog he was. Luca turned his gaze away, and turned back to August. Rodney seemed to be in his own world, as he still had not responded to her.

Catching Augustina’s gaze, the right corner of his lips curved up slightly as he asked, “Do you want me to wake him? Your ears are beet red, and you seem a little flustered.”

Russel merely watched the back and forth going on between Caleb. The girl was brave, he would give her that. Getting into a pissing contest with someone that could read your mind day one? That was brave. Incredibly stupid and dangerous, but brave.

The bodyguard did his best to diffuse the situation by stepping between the two before any shenanigans started happening. He was doing Persia a favor even though she might not realize it right that moment. "Look, who can beat who up, it doesn't matter. You're new, he's not. He has better control over his powers than you do. Period. She." Russel motioned to Amelia with a thumb. "Does things that scare even me. And every time I think there's no way she can top it but she finds a way to do just that every time."

He was embellishing of course but he wanted to make his point clear. Of all the people in this place that Persia had decided to piss off, these were definitely some of the worst ones. Take the hint, idiot.

Deangelo Corsair

As if the situation couldn't get any worse for the poor girl Deangelo began snoring. Loudly. His mind was completely gone. He was currently dreaming about food even though he'd just eaten and nothing short of a brick to the head. The narcoleptic mumbled something about pizza and his nose twitched as if he was actually smelling his dreams.

Things were going to get a whole lot worse before they got better. Deangelo's ears twitched at the words 'wake' uttered from the hunky guy standing near him. As if a defense mechanism was triggered to keep someone from waking him up, Deangelo wrapped his arms around the nearest thing. That happened to be the girl he was already sleeping on. He mumbled some more and began to drool as he clung to the girl like a sloth sleeping in a tree.

Seriously, she was five foot two, he couldn't have been comfortable. Of course, she was a bit more uncomfortable by the whole situation, but hey, weird stuff has happened to her. Like that one time when her and her friend Ajax went to...actullay, that story isn't really appropriate. Anyway, Luca once again addressed her, causing he to loom up at him. "Oh no, it's fine. Let hi-" Deaneglo started snoring causing her to pause mid sentence. Then things went even weirder as he hugged onto her, and started drooling. On her. And his face was rather close longer chest so that was..."Please help me get him to a chair," she squeaked, actually embarrassed for once. At least Luca didn't know why she was blushing. Holy cripes, this boy was somethin' else. Rod took the plate just in time as Deangelo nearly dropped the damned thing. He then fell asleep on August's shoulder of all things. He looked like a giraffe that couldn't keep it's neck up straight slouched nearly in half. August seemed to be gettin' embarrassed about the whole thing when the boy started snorin' so the Rod took action. He headed over to scoop the boy up over one of his shoulders while saying "I'm from Knoxville Tennessee, that's southeastern USA" Rod chuckled a bit "Though I spose this outfit looks a wee bit silly." Rod tried to pull Deangelo off, but he was locked on arms tight. So Rod gave the fingers a little pryin' "I've never seen someone manage to hold on so damn tight while asleep: and with some effort and a small grunt, Rod managed to sling the boy over his shoulder. "Now where is this boy's room? He seems like he needs some sleep." Well, the kid seemed like he might actually need some medicine, because falling asleep in such a state is far from natural.

Persia rolled her eyes at that statement. "Yeah. Sure." She eyed Caleb one last time before looking around at the gym. "Damn... didn't think a gym could stink this much..." she muttered. She wondered if one of these people had "fire" manipulation. That would really stink for Persia. Even if she tried to use her winds against the fire user, the fire would quickly expand. Not to mention water is denser than air.

So, let's get this straight.

She died because she was brutally murdered by her mother... and now she's at Thunder? She bit her lip, and decided to surf the web on her phone. She dug into her pocket, but nothing was there.

"Where's my phone?!" she practically yelled. Sure, the phone wasn't an iPhone eight, but her phone still works.

She's a proud user of Samsung.

Amelia was getting quite the kick out of the way Caleb was acting. He was clearly also pissed with the girl, which made Amelia feel as though her feelings were justified, especially if someone else was in agreement. Maybe she was beginning to like this kid. Someone else at Thunder that she didn't absolutely hate? Well, she couldn't jump to conclusions, but at this rate she might not scowl at him when they passed, as she does to anyone and everyone else.

Amelia didn't bother to introduce herself to the girl as Caleb had, but Russel had done that for her already so it wasn't necessary. Although, she would have been just fine if the girl had never known her name anyways. Caleb asked Persia what her power was, which intrigued Amelia. If she was all high and mighty she could at least have something worth being here. She responded quickly, her power being air manipulation. She then proceeded to threaten Caleb with "wind blades". Amelia stifled a laugh. It sounded an awful lot like the girl was talking herself up. Had she even used her powers like that before? Had she killed on purpose? Amelia doubted it.

Russel spoke up, and he was right. Anyone in this room could single handedly take on Persia. She appreciated how Russel had talked her up though, that always felt good. She had spend countless hours and days working on strengthening her powers, so it would be a damn shame if anyone dare say that she wasn't impressive. Although, she could say the same about Russel. You didn't have to see what he could do to know that he was a bit scary. Amelia didn't know as much about Caleb, but she assumed that Russel was correct.

Amelia rolled her eyes as the girl was frantically searching for her phone. "You think they're going to let you have your phone after you came here? Hell. no. First thing you'd do is try to contact someone, which would be a real issue considering you're supposed to be dead," she said in a stinging tone. "Whatever reason you need it is gone now, none of your family or friends wants a text or a phone call from you," she added at the end. She didn't feel personally attached to any family outside Thunder, so she didn't have a problem saying things like that. Didn't touch her a bit.

Feeling: Shocked

"I think so too." The girl replied and seemed to nod her head. Lucas's stomach gave a lurch and it suddenly felt as though he had lost a lot of weight all at once.

"Oofff..." Lucas exhaled deeply, holding back the nausea that had swirled within him. Fortunately it became easier to ignore once the girl began to make small talk. "Missions? Huh, not sure. I imagine once I've pulled myself back together." The part where she said she missed going on missions with him stuck in his mind. Were they partners in the facility? Did they pair up for missions frequently? It was clear by now that they were familiar with one another.

Every few minutes she would say something that would send a jolt into the back of Lucas's memory, but nothing ever came to light. However, when she asked if he could guess her name he was surprised to hear himself blurting out an answer. "Clair." He responded almost immediately. "Wow, not sure where that came from." That was very unlike Lucas. He hadn't known her name a moment ago, so how come he did now? "Wait, no it's- is that it?" It was as though Clara had pushed over a domino and set off a chain reaction in his head. The fog had lifted over a whole section of his memory. "Clara?" He said glancing ahead at her. "Holy crap..." He could remember almost everything about her now. The conversations they'd had, the missions they had been sent on...

"That thing you do to jog my memories. It finally worked..." He said in mild disbelief. How many times had he told her it wouldn't make any difference? Yet here they were making it work.

It seemed Deangelo, even in his sleep, had heard Luca speak, and didn’t have any desire to be moved, or woken up. The boy wrapped his arms around a heavily blushing August and promptly began to drool on her shoulder. Luca grimaced. That couldn’t have been pleasant. Although, even he had to admit, it was kind of amusing. Still, he could tell August was uncomfortable. When he first asked her if she wanted him to move the sleeping teenager on her shoulder, she’d started to tell him to leave Deangelo be, but it was the sudden snoring and drooling that had made her change her decision. When she asked Luca to move him into a chair, he was ready without hesitation to do so, especially when he noticed that Deangelo’s head was more on her chest than her shoulder now.

Before he could, however, Rodney seemed to snap out of his little trance, and moved forward. He set the plate that Deangelo had shoved at him down and then answered August’s previous question, before he pried the sleeping Thunder recruit’s arms off August and flung him over his shoulder. He asked after Deangelo’s room.

“Thank you for that,” Luca said, thanking him for moving Deangelo. “New recruits get their room assignments after this ceremony, I believe, so you’d have to ask one of our superiors where to find it,” he said.
