Fantasy Welcome to the Pantheon (Reboot - Always Accepting!)

When Nacht didn't answer with anything but a giggle he put her down and continued on his way out the building. There was a nice café nearby which served both coffee and tea of great quality and last time he had been there they had advertised an upcoming new blend. He was going to see if they had gotten it yet. He righted his glasses and put his hands in his pockets, doing his best to look like your everyday Joe. The streets were full of people like they usually were. None of them outwardly remarkable but each so unique.
He rounded the corner just as he felt...something. Something so vast and dark and empty that it could only be one thing, or rather person. Sure enough, there she stood, disguised well enough that he would've missed her if he hadn't felt her presence. It was a few minutes before he realised he was staring. The café was just past her, he'd never go unnoticed. So he decided to get noticed. He walked up and stood next to her, turning to look at the humans passing by.


"Fancy seeing you here of all places.", he said, glancing at the creature older than anything.

She had felt his presence and other's the moment she opened her own to search the area. She flipped her hair over her shoulder and greeted him with a blinding smile.


"Well, if it isn't my little scientist. It's been a while Fireballs how's the lab treating the assistant?" She was barbing him from the get go, but to anyone else, it looked like two old friends meeting up after a long time apart.
 
Selene flashed a quick smile back to Ilim, who stepped on the hallways just as she was waiting for a reply. She quickly scurried out to avoid any more needles interruptions and turned down the other side of the street, away from the cafe Ilim set off to.


It didn't really register with Elio that his twin sister left until after he read all about the rest of thorax, not just esophagus. Once the young god lifted his head to check his surroundings, reality hit him - she went drinking with that pervert. How a pure virgin like her could stand him was beyond him.


Either way Selene did have a point. He had enough of human medicine for now, after all he's been reading it for past five days. He stretched across the floor, meanwhile scanning around for his sister when he suddenly felt cold sweat wash over him. She was here. With inhuman grace and speed he straightened his shirt and in a moment was out on the street. A part of him wanted to try and ignore her, but he knew she wouldn't let him. She probably felt every God in the city before anyone could have guess she's appear here.


She was darkness, pure abyss and with light being one of his domains, he always felt slightly uncomfortable near her. Still, his divine pride made him lift his chin up and calmly strolling towards her and Ilim.


"So... should I call my sister, are we having a reunion?"

Nox laughed heartily at the little star's "confident" approach. Maybe she should have just shielded her presence and snuck up on them to cause a stir. She did love watching them scramble to stand united when she appeared.


"Oh look at that, my least favorite star has arrived. Aren't you supposed to be working right now? Oh, that's right, you're unemployed. You can call your sister if you wish. You and I both know that if I wanted to hurt you, it would take a lot more than that." Proving her point, she created an eclipse of the sun so absolutely that there wasn't even a corona. Of course it was only for Elio and Ilim's viewing pleasure.


She dispelled the eclipse.


"No, I'm just here to see how far your precious humans have progressed in the last short century. I must say that the fashion has improved at least."

"Wow you sure are cheerful on this lovely afternoon, mother." Elio retorted. She loved to push him around, knowing she could, because of course, the light of his Sun could easily be swallowed by her and yet she needed him there is she wanted the beings around her to prosper. Her powers made nothing live, nothing prosper, her being was absolute darkness after all. Maybe that's what made her so bitter.


He had to admit - her powers made him feel a little bit dizzy, but he had a feeling she was harmless down at her core. As deep, dark icy core though.

"Now, now. No need to be so rude. I really am here to watch this time. Maybe play with them a little bit. It's been so long, for them, since I last gave a mortal a whisper of darkness." She pulled into a loving hug, knowing that such close proximity was chilling him to the bone.


"Is that any way to greet you mother after so many years, Elio." She exclaimed loudly enough for several people on the street to look and coo.

He felt submerged under icy water the moment her skin made contact with his. Elio hated this. She knew which buttons to push and he couldn't deny it did work, but he wasn't going to give her the joy of making him show it. To hades whatever happens to him, his pride was far too bright to let her spin him around her fingers quite so easily. If power is all she would exert on him, he will do everything to swallow it.


"Oh mother it is just so nice to see you again." Elio sang with angelic voice that had the edge of plasticity to it and returned the hug, albeit rather stiffly. It was enough for people around them though, after all a little awkwardness between a mother son wasn't so bad, was it? The sun god could head a few giggle and whisper about how beautiful, almost etherical they both were and how could this mother look so young, yet have an adult son.


The second it was appropriate to, Elio pulled away, a faint smile on his face.


"Go ahead and play with your little pets, mother dear. I really don't feel like babysitting."

"I asked for neither your help nor your approval, Elly." Before he could back away fully she grasped his hands in her own, like she wasn't ready to part with her child yet.


"You put on a good show, but I know you, dear. You know it's ok to say you're afraid of me. Everyone is. Trust me you'll feel much better if you just admit it." She placed her foot on his shadow and pressed on his heart lightly before letting go and stepping back.


"I'll see you kids later. I have places to go, toodles." She turned and strode down the sidewalk like a model, gaining an appreciative and lustful Stare from men and women alike.


'If you don't want to play with me, maybe I'll have a nice group of young gentlemen visit upon your innocent sister. I've always wanted an eternal cherry.' She spoke through his shadow and laughed chillingly.
