Note: When choosing your gear, keep in mind that it is the mid 80s and the characters are in Soviet-ruled Ukraine. Do not give a humble civilian worker an RPG and laser sight assault rifle, be realistic. Also, it is assumed you have basic things, such as first aid, flashlights, and some food rations and radiation protection.

Note 2: Should you wish to have an irradiated character, please DM me and we can discuss the matter.

Name: Karl Kolisnyk

Appearance/Attire: A green, rubber gas mask that covers his entire head. A weathered, brown duster coat. A World War 2 era Russian military helmet. Worn, black combat boots. Black, long-armed leather gloves. Military green cargo pants. Black long sleeve shirt. Large, tan hiking bag.

Age: 32

Traits: Quiet, cautionary, quick to assume the worst. Good at running from danger and always glad to use such a skill. Was known well as a local Game trapper before the Meltdown.

Purpose/affiliation: Decided to stay at his cabin in the North side of Chernobyl; Karl expected the whole issue to blow over within a week or two. When his Geiger counter started to go off the charts with radiation, he soon found that he was quite mistaken and trapped within the city limits.

Gear: Has the needed materials to set up jury-rigged bear traps and snares, as long as he has a good five minutes to set them up. His weapon of choice is a bolt action Mosin-Nagant with a detachable sniper scope. At his side is a hunting knife which he has taken a deal of care for over the years. Keeps a small fire starter kit on him at all times.

Extra: Lives in his families cabin, which his father had given to him before his death. Karl has lived there for much of his adult life and, even in the current state of the city, continues to care for the home and all that is in it.
