He was cleaning some plates with a cloth. “Had another fruitful adventure I see” he took a small pause looking looking at you and your trophy head and then back to the other adventurers who were at the tables mingling cheerfully. “We are closing shop after tonight” he paused for another moment as he looked over to where the polar bear was sitting, in front of the beautiful golden gate that you had seen multiple times. “Oh get sad, it is a little disheartening but we all finally get to go home, This ...Inn. The Wayward Inn exists for those of you who are lost and have yet to find your way, a temporary home and shelter for adventures and anyone else so lost in their way that a key appears before them.” “Come today’s meal is on the house, all you can eat and all the mead you can drink for the gate opens tonight at midnight!” and with that sad you enjoyed your last night here in this wonderful Inn, knowing that you would finally be going home.”

For a few weeks now, we the staff, have been hinting about increases in activity and upcoming announcements. Well here it is, a future merger with our sister site, Pattern Spider.
What is Pattern Spider?
Pattern Spider is a white wolf fan community for its games, particularly Exalted, World of Darkness, and all things White Wolf. They have been around since May 2005 and are the number one search result for exalted and some world of darkness things as well as have popular active comics which we encourage that you check out. They also have a large community full of non-exalted roleplays and even nation builders.
So how does this relate to us? Well, earlier this year, we acquired Pattern Spider from its owner and have been owners of it for several months. Wizard and the Staff has been pulling double/triple shifts getting to know its members and getting them use to the Xenforo Forum system. Their site has been reorganized, simplified, and has become very similar to the Waywardian model. So much so that the sites are becoming very identical and players from both sites have been talking with one another on the TeamSpeak server and playing in each other games.
This is why the Staff and members from both sites that we have discussed this issue with have come to an agreement that a merge is for the best. So in reality this will help everyone because it will improve overall activity, and allow all of our energies to go to one large site.
The Wayward Inn/Pattern Spider Staff is dedicated to both communities, or rather, the future community of our site. No members will be given preference over one another, roleplays will remain (as long as they are still active when the merge occurs) and you can continue using the same account!
For those with two accounts on both sites, your accounts will be merged, so do not be alarmed.
Future Name Change - So if we are merging, what will this new site become? This was and still is a question being pondered by the site staff.
Why should we get a brand new name?
Well for starters a brand new name will be excellent because we might have a chance of securing .com, .net, .org, etc.
A shorter name (preferably?) will help us with new members and traffic.
It will allow us to remove all this confusion about different names
And conclusively it allows both of our communities to become one, under one new banner, as one roleplaying empire.
Suggesting a New Name - However, there is one tiny issue with selecting a brand new name. Names are hard to come up with, especially good ones. So we are asking all of you to help us out in selecting a new name. If you have a name idea that you think will match a new universal roleplaying forum/community, you can submit it as a reply to this thread or for those who are more nervous, you can post it in the Admin Contact. Of course just because you submit a name doesn’t mean we will use it, but we will certainly take it into account or even draw inspiration from it. Just remember to try to keep it short.
Feel free to post in the suggestions thread with your own opinions or criticism, just remember to give reasons as to why you like or dislike something, it will help us make a correct decision.
