Help Weird Internet Glitch Also Affecting RPN

So for the past idk how long, forever, I've been having trouble with my internet, mostly because it wasn't paid. I took a free trial then paid 55 bucks for some Xfinity Monthly pass shit, which did not work. So our Internet finally got paid and I was excited to get back online, when our modem took a shit and we had to unplug and replug it. Which brings us to now: the internet works, but I can't go on any websites, including RPN, because every website I go on "uses HSTS" whatever that is and is "not properly configured" and their "security expired September 17, 2015 3:30 a.m."

Including Google

Does anyone have any advice on fixing this? It also redirected both if my computers to some "captured portal" Xfinity page. I'm connected to my OWN Internet and this is preventing me from getting online.

Is this an issue specifically geared towards RpNation or are you experiencing this with other sites, too?

I'm experiencing this with all websites on every device, but since it's blocking me from being online and interacting with my people on here, I was hoping it was something y'all could help with. I guess that's too much to ask.

I reset our entire Internet and it's gonna work now. I kinda wanna call these a**holes anyway and tear them a new butt for not informing us that you have to reset everything for the internet to work if you miss even a single payment even though you're on the same account. They deserve to feel as dumb as I do.

Thank you for your time.

So, I had a dig on wiki because I wanted to know what HSTS is. For those who are interested:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Strict_Transport_Security
HSTS enforces the best forms of HTTPS
So, what is HTTPS?

In short, HTTP is normal internet, HTTPS is HTTP plus some Security. You can actually see it working on RPNation in the form of a little padlock icon near the top of your browser. It makes websites identify themselves using a certificate and encrypts all your traffic so people can't eavesdrop. If you don't have that padlock on a website, people can steal any information you send it.

HTTPS allows people to use older, less secure algorithms to allow websites who are not quite keeping up to be trusted by your computer. This can create insecurities when a site asks your browser to downgrade its security so they can talk. HSTS instructs your browser to refuse connections which ask for less security in this way.

That being said, I'm not sure why RP Nation was having trouble, I had a quick look at their Cert and it seems fine. They are also using the latest TLS.

That being said, I'd also trust Google to have the latest of everything, so odds are the issue was some bug in your router.
