Cresion Breezes
Beta Tester of Life
This is not first come first serve, I really need to see if we click when it comes to plotting, character development, and just general writing styles.
While I adore detailed posts, I also enjoy using creative formatting occasionally. Basically, this means you can do a one-liner post once in a while, just make that one line the best most meaningful thing with your heart and soul poured into it. But please make something like this a special occurrence.
OoC communication! Please please let this be a thing. I don't enjoy a RP where only I'm trying to develop things. Talk about your character, what you expect from them, what you expect from my character, the setting, the NPCs etc. An RP with only IC back and forths are boring to me.
Ghosting, I'm ghosting friendly, I might check up on you once in a while but I understand that it's easy to forget that RPs are a thing when life starts picking up.
Face claims, art for face claims only, please. Real images just make me kind of uncomfortable. Anime is preferred since I draw most of my character art and that's my style. I also have a tendency to adapt RP scenes I like into actual manga (and no, please don't RP with me for free art, it doesn't work like that).
I'm not interested in writing romantic relationships as it bores me out of my mind and I generally perform poorly. I do fake romance or (skipped due to site rules) banging as plot devices but they're plot devices only. I tend to like intimate relationships that are not romance-based.
You will probably see this from my plots, I love weird and unconventional pairings. Aesthetics wise I tend to envision everything in a more anime style, or at least artistically stylized so not into hyper realism.
I happen to love fictional politics. Some of my plots has underlying sociopolitical issues as an overarching plot point. I study law so I might bring some of those theories into RPing...hopefully I don't bore anyone, if I am just tell me.
I'd like to think that I'm a nice person with a niche sense of humour, but sometimes people really hate the way I talk/type. I'm a bit self-conscious about being more of an extrovert and I know that a lot of the RP community are more introverted, so I'm afraid of coming off as overbearing a lot. I hope you can tolerate me.
I'm EST time zone.
I have a discord, I'm fine with discord for OoC communication but prefer RPs to be onsite (Threads and PMs are both ok).
If you have a question feel free to ask me.
Check out my Character Art Thread with my older characters. Although I tend to make new characters for plots, if you really like one of them I can use those too.
Y/C, M/C is short for your character and my character, yeah yeah kind of obvious but why not mention it, if the terms are not used then I don't care about roles.
[Brains, Brawl, and Everything Inbetween]
During a pursuit, a spy rushes into the lab of a secluded, disillusioned scientist, in a last-ditch effort he asks the scientist to hide him. To his surprise, the other actually agreed, and slowly, the two discover that their loyalty may not lie in their governments, or careers, or anything.
A modern/near future story about two psychopaths going rouge and causing chaos in the world as a badass little crew. Open to multiple characters.
Like, you know those penguins from Madagascar? Why are they so impossibly cool that I can never replicate in RP form.
Y/C and M/C were childhood friends who grew up together (neighbors or orphans or whatever), but they were soon separated by the utterly dystopic state and onsetting poverty. In order to survive, they took up different professions and lived out very different lives.
They reunite at a distant border checkpoint, where terrorism and hypothermia kills equally frequently, with M/C as the new inspector clerk, handling generic paperwork, and Y/C who worked their way up to being the head security manager there. The reunion was all good and happy, except M/C is a government agent undercover tasked with inspecting rebel activities at distant borders, and Y/C happens to be leading an underground resistance....
Yes this is inspired by Papers Please the game, so the setting would be heavily inspired by Cold War and post-WW2 Europe.
Magic, despite being real, is only seriously studied by a few, these outcasted mages and archmages work tirelessly day and night attempting to promote the usage of magic but to no avail. Those who wield it are so scarce they are often condemned of witchcraft by local churches.
M/C, despite being an Archmage, prefers just chilling in the countryside and reading compared to razing armies with his magic to prove his worth and whatnot, but sometimes uses his magic a little too liberally to the point of being almost burned at the stake. Being injured and on the run, he comes across an (also injured) dragon, Y/C.
Now the magically inclined duo must find a way to escape the constant pursue of ignorant peasants while making way back to the capital of magic studies.
A "high-fantasy" world with a lot of comedic elements, Monty Python meets Konosuba style trope subversion, and bureaucratic bullshit when casting spells. I don't actually like traditional fantasy, so when I do play it I like to play a parody version of it. That doesn't mean no plot just more lighthearted ones.
"Yes, you need to provide your summoned demons with insurance, it's written under General Invocation Magic Rights Bill A-32 Section 4."
Y/C is a young inventor who tried to create an artificial intelligence to better the wartorn craphole world he lives in, thus M/C was born, it wasn't as functional as he had hoped, but it seemed somewhat sentient and can be used as a housekeeper. Soon Y/C was critically wounded due to the world's poor state and security and put into cryostasis for years to come.
Years later when Y/C finally wakes up, he finds the former world of pain and bloodshed transformed into a utopia where all is provided for and peace is everlasting. He was brought to the world's "ultimate leader", who apparently governs with pure ration and benevolence, and was astounded to see M/C again, the choppy A.I. he had made years ago.
So shucks, an evil AI took over the Earth and had just enslaved humans, humanity will fight back of course-Oh they're done already.
The evil A.I, with no real conception of death, woke up in a strange place. It's in heaven now, but only on a technicality because it wasn't human and didn't do the whole original sin thing and somehow had a soul. Being the first artificial thing in heaven, and arguably the first evil thing in heaven, it gets assigned an angel partner to figure out the whole fiasco.
Both Y/C and M/C are characters of an online game and plot twist the game characters come alive and do their own thing when the players log off. Pretty open-ended plot depending on how it goes, genders and appearances of the characters can even change since most games lets you change character customization so might be fun to do. Or the actual players can meet too at some point, or get into E-sports or it could just be a story where both characters lose their wills randomly (when the players log on).

-FF14
-Pokemon
I played competitive Pokemon, and made up this really dark Pokemon plot after realized how fucked up competitive Pokemon battling actually is if you think of the Pokemon as people.
The world is an ultra dystopia where very selected few are born strong enough (aka 31 IVs) and trained enough (aka 512 perfectly distributed EVs) to fight in deadly battles. Characters either has an unbelievably large family (breeding rejects) with a ditto as a parent or don't have a family at all.

-Akudama Drive
