We Need to Fix This

IceQueen

The Clawed Fauni
Nanami sighed as she slumped against her desk. It had been a few moths since school started, and every day was practically torture. Every day, she had to face HIM, she had to see HIM, she had to revolve around him like a fly to a trap. She had nothing to do but revolve around him.

He was literally the bane of her existence, at the moment. A constant reminder of what could have been, and what with few words, she had utterly shit on. She sighed and tugged on her long sleeves, that she had been diligently been wearing since the conflicts. She sighed as the bell rang for the last class of the day, and she stood up, her tails billowing around her. One of her classmates brushed into her tails, fumbling over them. She looked back at him, and growled harshly, causing the man to run in fear. She turned back to her stuff and continued to pack up her things, and heading towards the door.

Days had passed like the pages of a book. Each day, he had to move his sight from that girl. He barely even made some friends, the school was horrible, no matter what he tried to do, they would never get around their past, and he didn't even care anymore, he was annoyed of all of this that was happening.

The bell rang, and everyone rushed outside. He glanced at Nanami and saw she had scared off a man, something oh so rare for her to do. She was very aggresive since the incidents, she also barely made some friends, since they were both mad at the ones that tried to ''get them together'', how stupid were those people.

Jake sighed as he packed up his stuff and walked outside, bumping with one of her tails. He looked at her and clenched his teeth, moving away his glance forward.

Nanami glared as someone else bumped into one of her tails, but she nearly fell forward as soon as she saw who it was. it was none other than Jake, the HIM she had been trying to avoid. She furrowed her brow, and grunted, turning the other direction and flicking his face with her tail. "Watch it fatty, you might run into a wall." She mocked, moving on.

He squinted his eyes at her. She was obviously mad, as always, god knows why. He was mad with her, sure, but not to insult her each second. He sighed and turned his head to the other side, passing right beside her. Jake slightly gave another glance at her, before keeping on moving forward to his dorm.

Nanami scoffed and kept moving, going to the left, and towards the lake. She visited there often, since the lake was calming. At that distance she could scream and not have others hear her. She figured no one would get hurt from that distance. She sighed as she kept walking towards the lake, going to the farthest side, as she collapsed into the sand, letting outa sigh and leaning back onto her tails.

Jake saw she went towards the lake. The place where it all started, where they actually met and interacted for the first time, even tough it wasn't the best interaccion. A little smile appeared in his face, before he rapidly erased it and went to his dorm. He slowly opeed the door and then entered, sitting on the bed and leaning back on it.

Nanami stared up at the sky, using her arm to block out the rays of the sun. She was glad no one was around, the edge of her sleeve revealing the freshly marked scars there. She sighed and tugged on her sleeves again, closing her eyes as she used her tails to block it instead. "Why did I have to screw everything over." she sighed, closing her eyes and letting a single tear fall down her cheek. She knew her siblings would be disappointed in her, and she already was. She just wanted to slip away, leave it all behind.

He took a deep breath and went ouside, for a glass of water. Aleks really needed oneof those tiny fridges in his room, or someone that could actually create some water, like an ice user, or something, because his mouth got dry so fast, no wonder, since he's a fire user. Aleks took a step outside and kept walking to the cafeteria, grabbing a cup and filling it with water.

Nanami let out a sigh as she slowly got up off the ground, flicking her tails into the water, watching the ripples. "I know we need to fix this" She mumbled to herself "And I really want to. I want to start over, I want to make everything better, but I can't." She whispered. "You hate me now, there is no solving it." She said to no one.

A gulp trough glass and glass of water, one after an other, made his troath finally not be like the sahara desert. He took a deep breath and yawned, stretching out. He wish he could fix stuff with Nanami, but, she was appereantly too angry or irritated, and Jake didn't want to get denied infront of everyone.

Nanami sighed as she entered the building again, deciding just not to talk to anyone. She left her tails floating behind her as she walked down the hall, passing people and not even caring as they brushed or stomped on her tails. She just felt, empty again. Ever since then she had just been waves and waves of different emotions, she just wanted it to stop.

(( I'll post in a minute! :) ))

Jake raised his eyebrows at the girl passing by. He still didn't have the guts to go infront of her and say something, and he had to get them fast, or else, they'd stay this way forever, and he didn't want that, he just needed an opportunity to get trough her.

Nanami brushed passed Jake, her tails seemingly curling into him as she passed, and she continued on, her tails drooping as she moved on past him. She let out a soft sigh, scratching her forearm which had more scars on it than before, that she had tried to hide with her long sleeves. She kept moving on, knowing that he was never going to come back for her.

Jake stared at Nanami, as she went ouside of the lake and into the cafeteria. Her tails held on to him, and it made him die a little bit inside. He still remembered so vividly when he asked her what happened when he petted them. He slightly scratched one of her tails, smiling a bit, looking at her go.

Nanami felt something prickly touch her tail, and she looked behind her for the source of the prodding. She lifted her eyes only to see Jake standing there, almost as if reminiscing in her scent or something. She didn't have the heart in her right now to insult him, and she sighed. "Hey." she said to him, her tails flicking out behind her.

Jake was surpised when she actually said hello to him. Whenever they made any sort of interaction, she would swear her lungs out at him, and this time it seemed to be different. He honestly had no reaction to this, he was in some kind of shock. ''Hello.'' he replied to her, in a passive manner.

Nanami sighed, her tails flicking forwards, anxiously, almost as if they wanted to wrap him into her. She stared at him for a while, seemingly indecisive as what to say. She let herself straiten a little bit, surprised at his passive voice. "Look...." She started off, but ended up just falling silent with a sigh again, scratching at her arm.

Jake was as speechless as her. He really had no idea of what to say in this situation. Normally, he whips out words like if it was nothing, but his tongue would wrap up when he talked to her. His glance turned to his hand as she cut off, at her scartching her arm. He saw the scars she had, and he locked his glance on to her eyes, giving her a dissapointed look.

Nanami looked up, seeing his scorning gaze. She let out a sigh, looking away. "I know." She said softly, looking down and away from her. She swallowed hard, closing her eyes. "Can we talk somewhere, I don't know, more private? That is, if you want to scorn me." She said to him, her tails curling around her.

Jake lightly nodded at her, slightly tapping her waist and telling her to follow him. He walked towards his dorm, opening the door for her and sitting on his bed. He was nervous on what they would talk about, and what would happen inbetween them, it was all a mystery at the moment. ''Why did you cut yourself?''

Nanami straitened as he tapped her waist, feeling a jolt pass though her skin. She sighed and followed him, walking though the door, and leaning against it as she shut it. As soon as she had shut the door, he asked her the one question she dreaded answering. She let a sigh pass though her lips, closing her eyes. "I just... I don't feel right. I don't know how to feel right." she said to him.

Jake was very confused at how she didn't feel right. He just didn't understand her, her way to be. ''Why? You're just so.. complex. When I tried to hug you, you simply turned your other cheek and let me..well, hanging, and I felt as if you would've kicked my groin. I don't know how to approach you.''

Nanami sighed, pressing her palms into her eyes. "I don't even know myself. I just feel, so, confused." She said to him, slowly sliding down the door as she curled her tails around her body protectively. She pulled herself together, running her fingers along her scars. "Honestly I can see why everyone avoids this mess that I am." She said to him.
