please pm me instead of replying to the thread if you’re interested! thank you!
hi there and thanks for stopping by! i’ve got a lot of free time on my hands in the upcoming few weeks so i’m looking for a few 1x1 rps at the moment.
i thought i’d revamp my interest check to focus on my current cravings. i may update this thread in the future; my interests can vary from time to time!
-you can call me ash! i go by he/him pronouns.
-incredibly active in ic and ooc, i can usually get a reply in at least daily, if not multiple posts a day. some days are busier than others and i won’t have the motivation to whip out a reply - i’ll almost always let you know if i can’t deliver and would appreciate the same. while i prefer rps that are faster-paced, there’s never a rush to reply! rp should be stress free - i don’t mind if your pace is much slower, you can expect the same patience from me.
-i would say my word count varies depending on the scene, my interest in the scene, and my partner’s preference. this time around i’m looking to challenge and improve my writing and i’ll put in my part to deliver detailed responses. usually, i write anywhere from a minimum of 200 words to around 800+ or so. generally, i aim for quality over quantity, so i won’t write more than necessary for the scene for the sake of it.
-i exclusively write original characters, i have a good handful of them, old & new characters with depth and an opportunity for new life in an rp! fandom rps just aren’t my jam—but i do take inspiration from various media—tv shows, movies, games, music, ect.—to help develop a plot.
-i enjoy platonic and romantic pairings equally; my partner can choose their character’s gender, i’m not here to limit creative freedom. i’m most comfortable playing male characters, so keep this in mind when we decide on a pairing. while i do like romantic elements, chemistry should be present and bonds should feel authentic rather than forced.
-i’d rather write in dm’s than threads. i have a discord, but i’d like to at least trust my partner before handing that out.
-ghost friendly! a warning is always appreciated, but no worries if you want to drop!
-please tell me a bit about yourself if you decide to message me. let me know what to call you and what you’re interested in writing together so we have something to work with!
-i do sometimes like to explore some sensitive subjects, please be aware of this and inform me of any triggers you may have. it should go without saying that any disrespect regarding those topics will not be tolerated.
-third person past tense only.
-i’m looking to create something unique with our characters and plot. a character-driven story is what i look for in a roleplay. i don’t expect the same amount of detail, but i do want to see creativity and effort, fleshed out ideas and all!
-ooc chatter is preferred! i would like to write with people i can talk to and be friends with - the better communication i have with someone, the better things work out.
-i want a partner that’s excited to create something new and fun! share any ideas you’ve been itching to write as long as you think it’s something that i’d be interested in, i’m all ears.- here i will dump any keywords, genres, and drafts to help inspire a plot! as well as to help get an idea of what i’m interested in. as you can tell, there’s some themes i favor a lot!! + send me your ideas if anything speaks to you!
cravings - post-apocalypse, horror, survival, mystery, angst
small town / 90’s-2000’s / 90’s grunge / small town mystery / cryptids / monsters / murder mystery / reconnecting childhood friends / outcasts / runaways / road trip / rebelling / best friends / friends to lovers / urban legends / discovering the town’s dark secrets / monsters in the woods / monster hunting
post-apocalypse / zombies/undead / natural disasters / survival in the woods / wasteland / found family / unlikely duo / last survivors
one (craving!!)
it’s awfully quiet in the small town of westbrook. lately, rumors have began to resurface regarding the woods surrounding the town. most who visit on foot never return, but those who do bring back horror stories about terrifying creatures lurking about the surrounding woods. the local urban legend has been thought to be a hoax, perhaps to keep the children from wandering too far into the woods. no one has been paying too much attention to it until now.
the children of westbrook have began to go missing. [muse a] believes these urban legends could be true, and [muse b] has been skeptical of these stories—their younger siblings have both gone missing recently. as a last resort, [muse b] has been seeking out [muse a] hoping they might have an answer.
—zombie/any type of apocalypse really. i don’t have too many ideas for this, i tend to throw this setting out there without much planning. maybe a scenario where two lone survivors team up - this could go a number of ways, they could be reluctant at first but agree in order to prioritize their survival.
—two friends visit their home town together - only to find it’s overrun with zombies/monsters
—moving into a strange town in seemingly the middle of nowhere.
