How Can You Participate?

Scenes:

Role-players can make their characters do whatever they want within the scene given. Scenes can be used to develop characters, express emotions, battle, or even something wacky. Scenes will be up for a short period of time, within that time, if your character exists in that scene you may describe actions, reactions, and dialogue. You may continue interacting with people in the scene until a new scene is posted, in which case, the last post will be transitioned into the next scene by me. The process will repeat as long as people like. Newcomers will be added and tension will rise as both villains and heroes grow in numbers. The world will slowly become full of roughneck fighters and easy time peace-goers.

Story Progression:

There is no definitive story progression as everything is molded by the role-players and me. We will discuss new scenes and story concepts in the Settings tab. You can suggest ideas in the setting content if you already have been accepted. If you need something to wrap your mind around as far as a plot goes here is a little something.

A bright flash scowls my eyes and burns furiously as light flooded into them. "Where am I?" I asked.

The world I was in is no longer what it once was.

Arcs:

Arcs may occur if you ask for them. They can occur right after your characters introduction scenes if you'd like. You must be patient for them. They take some time. You are allotted 5 scenes for your arc and no more. People may not respond to your Arcs. Only you may reply to them. These can help you develop your characters purpose in the New World and introduce them to the other role-player's characters.

Interaction:

You may interact with any characters. You can battle them, trade dialogue with them, and befriend them. All the heroes may be allies, but that doesn't mean they know each other. There may not be any sexual content within the story. You are all with each other to survive, not date. No villain may be an ally. You can however have a neutral character who does not differentiate between good or bad.

These are characters that tend to be forces of nature. Examples: ChaosKnight, Enigma, etc.

Character Lore

Use your characters abilities and lore to help your allies. Is your group up against xenomorphs? Let's hope theres a Marine on the team. Are you Lee from the walking dead? If you run into zombies, Lee will know what to do. Incorporate your skills into the role-play.

Character Information

1. All characters will be approved by me and only me. Biggest reason for this is because I do not have every character you can possibly imagine at my disposal. If you'd like to know what characters are available check out Steam Workshop. You may take any character from any game, movie, or book. Just make sure they are available on the workshop for me first. (Otherwise you will have no character representation in scenes.) USE THE LINK BELOW THIS LINE TO CHECK ON AVAILABILTY OF CHARACTER MODELS.

Garry's Mod

2. No duplicates of characters. With that, no alternate versions of said characters. For example, my character is Clementine. You may not use the older version of Clementine nor may you request an evil version of said character unless one already exists within the lore for said game character.

3. Your character may not stray from its lore. As per the normal example, Clementine cannot gain magic powers or anything outside of her physical and mental capabilities. Your character can learn but they may not deviate from their respective realities. If you need more information on this let me know, I know it may be a tad vague but I will have to take each scenario on a case to case basis. (If your character exists within a different reality, remember, this role-play is combining them so if you REALLY want to, FNAF for example, can roam outside of the pizza place.)

4. Character research is up to you. When you post your character please post a wiki link about them in your audition. Role-players can then click the link and learn about your character. If you can not find a wiki link or SOME type of informative link to your character let me know.

5. You may be against the good guys. Our story revolves mainly around the good guys but on occasion we will have swap overs with the villains so they may develop themselves. To clarify, Heroes receive more scenes than villains, not counting Character Arcs or Intros. Make sure you choose wisely when choosing a character.

6. Every character will have an Introduction scene to their own. Afterwards it is up to you to keep track of where your character is and how they can become intertwined within the story. Introductions can take up to 2 pictures max.(Your character introduction should be placed within your audition. This introduction can be a description of how your character enters the world. See my introduction for reference.)

7. Characters may have their own Arcs but I will not do multiple Arcs at once. An arc would be a character receiving a few scene pictures of their own and explaining their short solo adventure until they inevitably meet the main group. Arcs are a good way to develop your characters purpose when it comes time to meet the other characters.

8. Use Side coding to show Attributes of Character. Use a ballpark estimate for your character.

Fighting Mechanics

Fighting Mechanics are balanced to make fights fair and as realistic as possible.

Strength- 1-10

Intel- 1-10

Charisma- 1-10

Total points may not exceed 15

Strength is a measure of physical capabilities. Intel is a measure of general knowledge and skill. Charisma is how likable your character is to other characters, not players.

Your character does not have to excel at any of these but they can make a difference in confrontation.

Fights will be determined with Dice rolls and can influence the story. Your dice roll is determined by your highest skill of the three.

[/tf]
Strength Intel Charisma
1-3 = 1 Dice 1-4 = 2 Dice 1-3 = 1 Dice
4-7 = 2 Dice 5-7 = 3 Dice 4-6 = 1 Dice
8-10 = 3 Dice 8-10 = 4 Dice 7-9 = 2 Dice
Any character that falls below a threshold will lose without a dice roll. Both characters must have the same main stat for that to occur. If the difference between opponents main stats is greater than 3, the lower character will always lose. (This is to prevent stupid scenarios; like the one below) Example of stat rolls: Clementine: Strength 2 Intel 4 Charisma 6 (Main Stat) Versus Hulk: Strength 10 (Main Stat) Intel 1 Charisma 4 Clementines Main stat difference with Hulk's is 3 and greater. Clementine should lose this fight. And she does because it makes sense. Lets hope this fight never actually occurs. Characters typically are not killed off but wounded. There will be a few occasions where characters can die. If your character dies, you may rejoin as a new character but must audition first. Need at least 5 Good guys to start and 5 Villains Good Guys:
Good Guys Approved
Villains:
Villains Approved
On the Character sign up Tab, at the very bottom of that tab, you will find Character Roster Photos with the current roster of NPCs, Heroes, and Villains.
