DownHaven, a fresh start, a new life. It's uncertain how you got here, but the locals call it 'Damnation'. Whatever you did before, it doesn't matter now, what does is that you were lucky enough to survive the fall- and be caught. Here, your new life is up to you, without the worry of judgeful eyes...All under just a few little rules, that is.

Never didn't remember the fall itself. He remember what he have faced before it. He could still feel merciless fire licking his fire skin, the pain he felt, when his right wing was cutting off. He would be glad to forget it. Unfortunately, he couldn't. But he was in safe place now. However, he wasn't sure what he could do. Walking around Damnation seemed like the best option, because he knew nobody here. His wings (rather one wing and what was left of another) folded and held close to his body so other fallen couldn't notice that he was crippled. A shadow of the angel he once was.

Another cold day, though, it was naturally cold considering the fact they were sea-side, what with the wind and all, but today had that particular chill. The one you usually got that just screamed 'Winter is here'. While Six didn't mind the cold, since he was usually appropriately dressed, he wasn't particularly fond of Winter itself. Of course, it was this season where he had to force himself out of the house, for multiple reasons, but more so than usual. He slid through the small, back-ways of the streets, hardly noticed- but when he was it usually caused more of that whispering chitter chatter that spread the rumors. He had many surrounding him, some better than others, but he tended to ignore them. That said, he stepped onto a main street, making his way.

Never usually was sociable kind of person, but seeing the crowd on narrow streets, he didn't feel like joining. He slowly made his way downtown, carefully watching other fallen, with a little bit of suspicion, heading to the coast. After his "adventure" with fire, the cold weather was much appreciated - even if his burns looked like completely healed, he sometimes felt pain. Mostly in unexpected moments. He frowned a little, seeing small fuss on the main street. He stepped closer, wondering what or who could cause it. Never noticed the fallen that was... kind of outstanding. Well, there was just something weird about him. Wait... Are those 4 wings? Is that even possible? Never was more than happy having 2 in the past!

Six did his best to hide his smaller pair of wings under his first, but it was futile really. They were about the same size, only about, and you could see the first pair seem to raise against the second. Besides, anyone who had lived here for long enough, which was just about everyone, knew he had four wings. Why, well, not many asked, and those who did usually only got the view of those same wings as he walked away. He didn't talk, almost as if he was mute, but he wasn't. The few times he did say something was when he was scolding other fallen for breaking rules, and there were few. They weren't the normal, if two fallen wanted to fight he wouldn't stop them. If they wanted to be mischievous, he didn't much care. The fallen as a town made sure nothing serious happened, but there were still rules. You weren't to travel any further than the town. That included up into the mountains, or past the cliff. There were few cases where some did, but they were always caught, and there were consequences. Either way, Six was only here to find something warm, a certain drink that he always started the Winter off with. He gave a glance to his left, watching the others flock- straightening up to look past them when he swore he saw a newcomer, a fallen he hadn't seen before, but he quickly disappeared into the next street.

While being amongst other fallen, Never got past his reluctance and did a little research. He asked about the rules, about capabilities and such. DownHaven haven't seemed like very interesting place, to be honest. He was really eager to explore the mountains, but it was apparently forbidden. Someone also told him, that the strange fallen he had seen was some kind of boss of this place. He had many questions on his mind, so he went after him, It wasn't a hard task, even when he was kind of exhausted after the fall. It was strange, but clearly it was how the things worked out there. Soon he reached the brunette, trailing only a few steps after him. "Sorry, can I ask you something?" He said loud enough to be heard even if the other male was deep in thoughts. His voice was completely neutral, almost showing no emotions. He patiently waited for any reaction.

Six's wings fluttered, it was easy to tell he'd caught him off guard, but then again, one would probably be startled too if no one had talked to them in...What, a few months maybe? Every now and then someone would try but fail to get any words out of Six. Whether it be because he couldn't give them the answer, for reasons unknown, or because it was a stupid question and he had work to do but- in the case that this was neither, he pulled his pace to a stop before turning, halfway, awaiting the other's question. He watched Never carefully, sure that this was the one he hadn't seen before. He closed his wings tightly, attempting to keep warm from the breeze that he'd been walking with, but was now facing against. He had the collar of his jacket flipped up to block out most of it though it seemed to a lot that was a sign of cockiness, something he wasn't fond of, and didn't exactly carry.

He felt the pang in his chest, when Six's wings fluttered. It was a sign of jealousy. He wasn't able to fly anymore. He was crippled. Not angel, fallen, not even human. He was nobody now. "Apparently everybody gets to have place to live, right? So I'm new here and I have no idea where should I go. Could you show me?" Well, his talkativeness was showing already. He wasn't sure if that was good or bad sign. Whatever. His first target was to obtain a place to live, then he could worry about others' opinion about him. "And I also wanted to ask, why exactly is it forbidden to go outside the city? I mean, is there something dangerous?"

Six cocked his head, so he needed to find the residential area? Ah, yes, everyone was taken care of. It seemed every time a new fallen came along and new house opened up. Six back up, leaned to see the cluster of houses, they got tighter once you got higher, unlike the buildings here which were more open so that you could walk around town. In the housing district, the streets were more narrow and mostly because not many ever actually used the houses. It took the phrase 'The city that never sleeps' to a new level. Either way, you could see the district from here, and Six pointed at them with precision. As for his other question...Six looked over at him, blinking, a question he couldn't answer. It was common for people to ask, but it was also common to never get an answer.

Never frowned and looked in the direction pointed by another fallen. It was kind of hard to understand what the other meant without words, but he thought that he could reside in any empty house without worry. Well, that part was fine by him. But being stuck in the city, where there was not as many things to do, was kind of upsetting. He sighed and rubbed his temple, feeling nasty headache coming. "Is there any reason?" He tried again, trying to sound as polite as he could at the moment. It was a little hard, consindering the fact that the male apparently wasn't in mood to talk with him.

Six blinked, he could hear that tiny corner of irritation in the other's voice, he wasn't trying to be a pain he was just...Him, really. He cocked his head, wondering if the other would take nothing as an answer, well, not as an answer but rather as Six's response. Questions he couldn't answer, like this one, really pricked at him because he knew how irritating it was not to be given a reason. To be punished for something when you had no idea why. It's how he felt when he was first falling. His wings used to be ivory, now they were ash like. Never the less, he couldn't expect every fallen to stick to the rules, and they didn't, but it came with their own punishment...And it was not one delivered by Six, but, on the occasion that he could get to them in time...He quickly pushed the thought out of his head. The other had asked a question, and he would answer it. Was there a reason? Yes, and thus, Six nodded, but that was all.

Damn it, his temper was going to be his end someday. Not getting the answer he expected, he huffed impatiently and frowned a bit, wondering why, just for once, couldn't he get a straight answer. Everything was a mystery now. His fall (cause he couldn't remember it), his arrival, now this. Apparently this city was going to be his cage. "I suppose you don't like to use words." He stated, not really hoping for an answer. Well, if the other male wasn't going to talk to him, he could talk to himself, that wasn't a problem. Maybe he just wasn't good with words or something.

"You suppose correctly."

Six muttered under his breath, his words barely audible. He guessed that he could give the other a few words or might as well so not to give him the wrong impression. If he wanted to, he could pretend to be mute, since he barely talked. But, anyone who'd been here for a while knew he spoke, this being one of the rare occasions. He didn't know why he didn't talk, probably because it usually involved common interests and Six doubted anything he did or liked considered 'common'. After all, things came a price.

"Can I have a paper or something? You know, because I got you to talk and all." He joked, hoping the fallen would sense, that he's not serious. Well, he was often joking, when he was up there and he was hoping he wouldn't have to change his personality because of this strange place. Never stared at the other with interest, but anyone could clearly see in his eyes, that he wasn't judging. Well, he was kind of used to fallen being strange and all, he was weird himself, so it was everything was forgiven, as long as he wasn't hurt.

Six seemed to make a half chuckle, rolling his eyes playfully, which you could only tell by that amused smirk that seemed to run across his face. Never seemed...What was the word? Tolerable. He wasn't as bad as the rest, who would often go to lengths to irk Six to try and get him to talk. Looking over at the other, if he narrowed his eyes he could've been sure he could see some kind of glint in Never's eyes. Amusement maybe? He wasn't sure what it was that could be found amusing, well at least not with him.

Wow, he actually managed to amuse the other. It was probably because of his awkward personality, but well, all that mattered at the moment was the laugh that escaped fallen's lips. It seemed like he needed it, after all, so Never was more than happy to help. That was how his personality worked. Sometimes he would just help others, instead of focusing on himself. "I'm Never, by the way. But you don't have to tell me your name, if you don't want. It's totally fine."

"It's Six." He murmured, referring to his name of course. After the fall, he couldn't really remember his given name so he'd gave himself one, which had in fact been his favorite number. It sounded stupid, really, the idea of it but the name had turned out to grow on him and apparently others. They never questioned that part of him, which was better than if they did he supposed. Never and Six, he guessed they both had unique names in that case.

"I'm glad I'm not the only one with weird-ass name. Actually it's full form is "Nevermore", but it sounds dumb, doesn't it?" Was he rambling again? Probably. But with nothing to do here, he guessed that rambling was going to be one of his most frequent activities. In fact, Six seemed like a good companion, since he haven't judged Never yet. Nor asked about his crippled wing. He was probably more tactful than most fallen, which made Never really grateful. "And thanks for telling me, by the way. I mean your name."

Six cocked, no, tilted his head ever so slightly to the side as he listened to the other, a way of hearing him better. He wouldn't go as far as calling the other's name 'dumb' but then again his was no better, so he guessed it was something to be pleased about. He nodded, dipping his head down as he did so, when Never thanked him for telling his name. He would've learned it anyway since it was always under whispers throughout town, but, it made Six feel better in the slightest to have told someone himself rather than they hear it over gossip.

"Don't you have some things to do?" Never asked after a few moments of silence. "I mean, I wanted to ask if I'm not bothering you. Because you seemed like you were heading in some direct place and all." He added a bit awkwardly, knowing that his previous word could be interpreted in a wrong way. Well, Six seemed like a busy guy, at least for him. He wasn't really believing the rumors he had heard earlier today, because he knew very well how stupid people/fallen could be sometimes. It always made him wonder if the ones spreading rumours hadn't had their own lifes.

Six wagered his choices, he didn't exactly have a plan, at least not yet- not until sunset at least "Not particularly." He said, his voice never raising from almost a whisper. Or, rather, more of a murmur. Six worked nights, actually, if you could even call it work. He called it otherwise, more of a constant strain, an annoyance, but...if he wanted to keep the others safe, or alive, it was something he'd have to do until the end of his days...And, well, seeing as he'd technically already died, twice, once to get into Heaven and once to get out, that was a long ways off.

"That's good." He replied with a bit of relief. Well, he didn't want to be a nuisance after all, right? Good thing his ears haven't been affected by the fall, so he still had a pretty sharp hearing, because he could have problem otherwise. Hustle of the city could be heard even here, when they had been alone. Or it seemed they were, maybe someone was lurking in the shadows or something. "How can you be sane here?" He asked, without hoping for an answer again. It was almost rhetorical, he was just thinking, what was he going to do here. Because all of that city seemed damn boring. And he didn't want to offend anyone by thinking so.

Six full on cocked his head, it wasn't just a tilt anymore, showing his full on confusion at the question. Sane? As in mentally sane? He didn't get it, this place was, well to him it was nice. It was home. To be honest, really, there was more to it than it looked, one just needed to look around- as it wasn't just a town, it was a town for fallen angels. If they wanted to live like humans they could've fallen fully, but they were taken here, he supposed it was for those who didn't want to walk the Earth forever in an agonizing pain. Had they fallen all the way, their wings would've burned completely. Another perk to being caught.

"Don't you feel caged here?" He tried, more hesitatingly now. It was a good thing that Six wasn't trying to judge him, but he really hoped he will meet someone who will understand him. He didn't prefer being stuck on Earth as something between angel, fallen and human, no, but something was off here for him. "Uh, nevermind. I won't dump my problems at you." He said, laughing gingerly, thinking he shouldn't have been started that topic. Damn him (not literally), he was constantly making mistakes.

Six seemed to straighten up, no longer cocking his head. Caged. No, it wasn't a caged feeling, it was a never ending cycle. No one knew his day consisted of the same thing every day over and over from start to finish. The only free choice he got was from early afternoon to late, and well, sometimes in the morning like now. Other than those times his days were the same over and over. Six blinked himself out of his thoughts when the other started laughing, dragged out actually, by the noise. He made a small, almost futile attempt to smile.
