I'm trying to find some good images to use as visual inspiration for warstriders. Here are some good ones I've found so far, but I thought you guys might know where to find more...

And finally, this isn't really a conventional warstrider-type pic, but I think it's cool:

I'd love to see some more Lunar-ish ones.

I don't have the original, so you'll have to settle for the motivator version; still, this is to my mind a pretty Lunarish warstrider.

I really like that first one except for the fact that it is waaaaay too ECKS BAWKS HUEG. The second one is pretty close to my idea of warstriders as well. I like the facial concept on the fourth, reminds me of pilot candidate.

I've always been fond of the elegance of the guymelef mecha styles of The Vision of Escaflowne when I need inspiration for warstriders. Sample styles below.

Isn't that one right out of the books? It's a WW artist, at the very least. Looks like Pale Longinus' stuff.

I think I got it from a DeviantArt page, and it's been about a year ago.


It is by Pale Longinus, and his coment is "Heavenly Guardian Defence ready"


As for being in a book, I'm with Cthulhu_Wakes in that I have never seen it, maybe in DotFA but I don't think it will be.

I've got a bunch of mecha images, but not many of them are really fantastic in flavor. This one is, though.


There are a bunch of animes with giant mechas in them, but not many of them really have the fantasy flavor. RahXephon somewhat does, though, especially the Dolems. Well, maybe not.

Escaflowne is pretty similar to Warstriders, I will also recommend looking up designs from:


Giant Robo (Egyptian-looking)


Gun X Sword (Awesome in general)


Kishin Corps (Steampunk)


Aura Battler Dunbine (Look like bugs)
