Warrior Cats [w/ Nihilist]

It had been three nights since Littlepaw had left the safety of ForestClan to search for her mother.

The distant barking of a Muntjac had startled the little apprentice as she quickly pounced into the covers of a bush, heart beating as a fox began to bark as well. She curled up into a ball and breathed heavily, curling her tail around herself for extra cover. Thankfully, the fox appeared to be far enough away so that it wouldn't detect her.

She waited a few moments before slowly emerging from her natural shelter, ducking as an owl swooped down overhead to catch a mouse nearby. It was enough to spook her, but she knew she had to keep going.

Littlepaw shook out her fur and started to walk once more, her thoughts bouncing around in her head for comfort. She wondered if her mentor, Echostorm, was looking for her currently...actually, she was probably almost in the vicinity, knowing her. She had treated Littlepaw as if she was her mother, and although it was nice, the apprentice did not reciprocate the family-type of bonding between the two. She did care, however.

Not enough to stay in ForestClan.

Canyonleap was her mother, and Littlepaw knew she would find her someday. As she continued along with these determined thoughts in her noggin, she unknowingly walked right along the border of MossClan, and was completely oblivious to it.

Walks at night were something of a regular thing to Sagepaw. As far as he knew, now that he was an apprentice, there wasn't any rule keeping him in camp when he wanted to go out unless he had been ordered to stay in. Which he hadn't. He knew it was dangerous to go out with the fox that Nettlefur has scented nearby the border, but he was confident he wouldn't be crossing paths with anything tonight.

He heard the fox bark far, far off and strained his ears to hear more. Nothing more reached him, but he continued on with his ears pricked, eyes on the ground ahead of him. Sagepaw wasn't scared of the fox, no way, but it couldn't hurt to be careful. He could totally take on a fox, he decided. With a little more confidence, he headed out further into MossClan territory.
