Warrior Cats (Join In Other Thread)

Runningstream padded out of camp, her light blue eyes glowing fiercely in the dark. She took slow steps, not wanting to let anyone or anything know that she was near. Looking around, her long black claws unsheathed, crouching low in an attacking position.

There was a stale scent of rogue as she waited silently. Suddenly, the leaves crackled, and a small black cat walking out, wreaking of rogue. She bared her teeth and crawled up behind the cat, ready to pounce at any moment.

She leaped, using the leap-and-hold move, digging her claws into the cat's back. The cat screeched in surprise, trying to shake her off, but she had a good grip. She did a swift killing bite, and the cat collapsed in it's own pool of blood. She let go and got off of the dead rogue, dragging it off into the bushes and flinging it away.

Rainstar walked out of the leader's den, his head high. He looked over the rest of the camp, seeing kits tussling, the elders snoring away through the sunhigh sky, as well as the warriors eating out of the fresh-kill pile, sharing tongues. There would be a naming ceremony for a six-moon-old kit tonight. The one problem was that he had no idea who he was going to assign to mentor Airkit. He yawned, flicking out his tongue and tasting the air. No scent of anything but proud and happy Thunderclans. He sighed in relief at the wonderful sight. He padded back into his den, ready to face any problems that may spring upon him.

Redsky was slinking through the dry leaves. Leaf-fall really hadn't been kind enough to provide that Thunderclan cats with leaves that could be treaded on silently. Hopefully his apprentice would not hear him. He new he would be fine on scent being that he was down wind from the apprentice. This was Nightpaw's first exam. Redsky watched silently as his apprentice dropped into a hunting crouch. He too smelled the appetizing scent of a plump wood mouse. Nightpaw pounced, landing on the poor mouse. Redsky was impressed at the finesse that Nightpaw pounced with. Redsky would certainly going to tell Rainstar that Nightpaw had passed. Redsky continued on. He froze, smelling a strange scent. Nightpaw hadn't scented it! Redsky bounded towards him but it was too late. A large bobcat jumped out of a bramble bush. Nightpaw dropped back hissing. Redsky landed next to his apprentice. "Go ahead. Kill me. But you will not take his young life. Run Nightpaw!" Nightpaw stayed by his mentor's side. "No," Nightpaw said, "I will stand by your side in this battle Redsky." Redsky sighed at his apprentices stubbornness. The Bobcat's fur flattened. "And you think I'm scared of you petty clan cats?" The Bobcat's claws un-sheathed once again. Starclan help us!

Runningstream began padding back to camp, blood covering her muzzle. A strange scent wafted into her nose, and she froze.

"A bobcat..?" She spat, immediately running in that direction. She also could smell Redsky and Nightpaw nearby. They must be in trouble.

She ran faster, suddenly bursting out of the bushes in slow-mo and tackling the Bobcat from the front. She dug her teeth into his scruff and used the Scruff-shake move. The Bobcat screeched and slashed at her with razor sharp claws, but she ducked and rolled out of the way before it could lay a claw on her. She ran at it at full strength, ramming her head straight into his flank and sending it flailing onto it's back. She pinned it aggressively and bit it's throat multiple times. It died in seconds, and she climbed off of it, lashing her tail and flicking the fresh blood off her claws.

"You guys alright?" She asked, turning towards them.

Moonember couldn't help but feel worried. She was taking a siesta in a quiet hollow deep in Thunderclan territory, when she heard the shrieks and yowls of her own clan mates. Was Shadowclan launching another attack? She flung herself through the brush and bramble and into camp. Where was the invasion? If the camp was fine then... what shrieks had she heard? Her questioned would soon be answered as, Maplepaw came barreling through the entrance to camp. "Bobcat!" She shrieked. "A bobcat is attacking Redsky and Nightpaw!"

Redsky replied with flashing eyes to Runningstream. "You broke the Warrior Code. What were you thinking? It states not to kill an enemy in battle unless necessary. Your risking the whole of Thunderclan's future!" Redsky scented more bobcats. "What? I scent other bobcats. This is unusual. Hunting in groups. We gotta go." Just as he spoke those word , three large bobcats popped out of the bushes. "You know, this really doesn't feel like my day."

Rainstar looked at Moonember. "Warriors and apprentices alike! We have been attacked by bobcats. Redsky and Nightpaw are currently fighting. I need four warriors to go out and back them up while one goes with them to report back to me. All others stay and defend the camp. All kits must stay in the nursery. No exceptions." He stared right at Airkit, knowing he would be eager to go out before he was made apprentice.

"I'll go, and I'll take Maplepaw with me" Moonember volunteered, holding her head high. Maplepaw puffed out her chest and stepped up next to her mentor and nodded. Moonember knew she was putting both herself and her apprentice at risk, but it was for the good of the clan. "Who else is coming?" she asked, looking around. "We're going to need swift, accurate, and stealthy fighters."

Runningstream growled slightly at Redsky, but when the three other Bobcats popped out of the bushes and began walking towards them, she set herself in front of Redsky and Nightpaw.

"Redsky. Go back to camp and take Nightpaw with you." She murmured, unsheathing her claws and facing towards the three bobcats again. She snarled loudly at them and swiped out her claws, making them take a few steps back.

She whipped around, her fur bristling.

"GO! NOW" She screeched at the two cats as a Bobcat came in behind her and bit her hard in the back. She groaned in pain and kicked the animal, sending it sprawling out on it's back. The other two leaped at her, scratching and biting her furiously from both sides. Runningstream trickily slid underneath one of the Bobcat's on her back and raked it's belly, blood splattering everywhere. The Bobcat growled loudly and leaped away from the silver cat.

Runningstream stood up, blood trickling down her forehead, but she wouldn't give up. She rammed her head into a Bobcat as it lunged for her and scratched it hard in the eyes, making it yowl and stumble back into the bushes. The other two snarled fiercely at her, circling her slowly.

"I'm not leaving you Runningstream." A sparkle glittered in his eye. He would never leave Runningstream. "And I'm not leaving my mentor," Nightpaw mentioned. Redsky scowled at his apprentice's stubbornness. "Looks like no one's moving a paw." This would be an even match, the smaller bobcat taking on Nightpaw, Redsky taking on the most muscular of the group and Runningstream taking on the she-cat bobcat. Redsky looked over, deciding that that plan had failed as the she-bobcat scampering off into the woods. "Help Nightpaw," Redsky shouted over his back. He turned to face the large bobcat, looming over him. He spat in it's face, not stepping down. He slashed his claw across the bobcat's muzzle. He smiled as the blood began pouring from the wound, but the bobcat wasn't giving up any ground either.

Nightpaw hissed as he was thrown across the clearing. He landed awkwardly on his side. He struggled to get up but in a flash the bobcat was over him again. These bobcats fought using a tactic never heard of by Nightpaw. He struggled, his claw reaching up and quickly scratching the bobcat's leg. "You petty forest cat! Mountain Clan would never be taken down by such a weak combination of cats. I, Rocktooth, will kill any cat that steps in my way." The Mountain Clan cat was strong, but Nightpaw was determined.

As soon as the Bobcat was done spitting at Nightpaw, she leaped at it from behind and grabbed it's scruff, shaking it violently. She let go as it clawed her across the flank, but not by much. She snarled loudly at it and lashed her tail irritably.

"Your a stupid fool. Your not strong. Your a weak little kit, crying to get back to his mother. Why don't you go home, huh? You useless piece of mouse-dung!" She screeched with a grin, trying to make it mad on purpose. Every time it would swipe at her she would dodge it, making it twice as mad.

The Bobcat would attack Runningstream with all it's strength, but every time, the silver cat would dodge it swiftly. This technique began to tire out the animal. A wild smirk formed on Runningstream's face as she attacked it from the side, slicing it's neck hard as she flew past it's face. Blood dripped all over the ground as the Bobcat struggled to breathe, but it was still alive.

Runningstream, holding up the paw she had sliced it with, was covered in fresh blood. She hissed one last time at it before watching it scramble back into the bushes, running after the other she-cat weakly.

Sorry I haven't posted yet, I miss anything?)

( Wingal, saw your post in the join thread, I'm here now)

Leaffall was in the medicine den sorting herbs while the medicine cat was out. She enjoyed the scent of herbs, but wasn't sure she was cut out for medicine work. When thunderclan took her in she was only 7 moons. A moon had past since then and she was still only an amature warrior.

This would final bobcat would be running away with his tail between his legs in a second. With all three cats now focused on the final bobcat, there was no way it could hold off. It slowly backed away hissing and vowing that it would be back. Redsky took this time to look over the group. Nightpaw had been his apprentice for a while now. Maybe Redsky could convince Rainstar to allow Nightpaw to become a warrior. He couldn't worry about that now. Nightpaw looked bad. He was bleeding out of many cuts. He decided that Runningstream could get herself back to the camp on all four paws whereas Nightpaw couldn't at all. With the medicine cat out, Redsky would have to trust Leaffall to be able to heal all three cats up. He grabbed Nightpaw by the scruff and tried lifting but found himself half dragging him back to camp. Once they arrived a small group of cats moved out of the way to let the respectable cats through. Redsky dropped Nightpaw on one of the moss beddings and stumbled onto one himself. He mewed a short, half-awake greeting to Leaffall to let her know they were here.

Rainstar would wait until all warriors were ready to watch the apprentice-naming ceremony. He padded over to the medicine cat den and peered in. "Redsky, I'd like to speak to you." Redsky looked up and sighed. "I'm kind of stuck here but Nightpaw is blacked out if you'd like to talk about a warrior ceremony." Rainstar looked at him in awe. "Redsky, you always know what I'm going to say." Rainstar laughed as well as Redsky before Redsky gasped and stopped due to a gash he had across his side. He could feel real damage. Redsky spoke again. "I think he's ready. He fought bravely, taking one almost all by himself with a small amount of help from Runningstream." He shot her a grateful look for saving his apprentices hind paws. Rainstar looked at his friend Redsky. I agree. He shall become a warrior when he is well enough to pad up to high-rock. As for the apprentice ceremony, it will be held when you and Runningstream can come down to the clearing." Redsky nodded. All he needed were a couple dressings and he would be ready.

Runningstream walked into camp, blood continuing to trickle down her forehead and onto the ground. One of the Bobcat's had managed to strike her hard in the head, causing extreme pain and discomfort. But she managed to ignore and forget about it, hoping nobody would notice. She wiped the blood away from her forehead with her tail, than held her head high and padded into the middle of camp.

She noticed Redsky and Rainstar talking, guessing they were talking about Nightpaw becoming a Warrior. Her tail lashed back and forth irritably, her piercing blue eyes staring at everyone around her. Hopefully, no one would notice the severe scratches on her right and left sides. They were still bleeding slightly, causing droplets of blood to fall wherever she walked.

(Oh by the way, forest territory or lake territory?)

Leaffall heard foots steps and turned to see Redsky drag Nightpaw in and have a short conversation with Rainstar. "Let me try to help." She checked over Nightpaw and Redsky. She retreive some cobwebs from the medicinde stock and stopped the blleding from both their wounds. "I may not know all the clans ways yet but I can help in this way." She mewed lightly.

Forest. I have always preferred the forest! Sorry, I should have mentioned that.

Redsky looked up at Leaffall. He had always thought of her as a little sister, her not being a clanborn cat either. He swiped his tail over her back and touched his muzzle to her side. "You'll make a fine warrior or medicine cat. Whichever you choose, I know you'll excel in it." He swished his tail to show pleasure and lay his head back down, allowing her to continue to apply the cobwebs.

Rainstar flicked his tail at Blackheart, the deputy, motioning him towards Rainstar. He watched as Blackheart padded up. "I wan't to know your thoughts on Nightpaw..."

RobinKit was watching the warriors and apprentice come back from what looked like sitting on the border of the den and the outside. "So are you excited about being an apprentice today" a voice mewed behind him which made him jump as he turned around to see it was His mother. "Not really" he mewed back shyly huffing out some air before going up to his mom nuzzling down next to her. "Warriors always get hurt and stuff" he added as his mother leaned down licking his fur from the back of neck up. "That's why your gonna be an apprentice so you won't get hurt as soon as you become a warrior" she mewed as RobinKit just kept watching outside letting out another huff of air.

Blackheart took a glance over at Nightpaw over his bed before breathing out letting his stuck up posture drop a little more casually. "I believe the fact that he's benn advancing in a steady pace with his training and kills Plus the fact that he's alive today is a good enough reason for him to become a warrior" He replied taking a chance to look over Redsky and leaffall.

Leaffall finished dabbing up the blood and passed Redsky a few poppyseeds. ,don't take too any or you might get drowsy. Thank you for your kind words, although I've got my warrior name I still don't feel quite fit for it."

Rainstar looked at Blackheart. He assumed he was still un-trusting of the rouge and kittypet. "There's no reason to not trust the two Blackheart, have you forgotten that the Riverclan leader is a kittypet? Shows what you can do with Starclan. Anyways, they've proven they're both loyal to this clan." He decided not to waste anymore breath on a cat that was always going to be a bit careful. Rainstar padded back to his den and slumped down.

Redsky's eyes met with Blackheart's. The deputy would never completely trust either of the two cats. The two being himself and Leaffall. Redsky sighed and padded into Rainstar's den letting him know that he was fine and he could start the meeting. Rainstar nodded and asked for a few mouse breaths of rest. Redsky stalked away, head held high. He sat down next to Runningstream, his tail wrapped around the attractive she-cat's shoulder. He leaned over and licked her wound. He picked up the small amount of cobweb he had borrowed from Leaffall and applied it to Runningstream's forehead wound. The dressing had obviously not been applied by a medicine cat but it would hold off the bleeding. He once again licked Runningstream across the muzzle and looked forward, waiting for Rainstar. He assumed it wouldn't be long until everyone had seen himself and Runningstream sitting in the clearing and gathered around for the occasion.

Leafall thought a moment about her love of herbs and how she could ease the pain of suffering cats. She padded over to Rainstars den and mewed quietly "if I could bother you, I would like to be medicine cat, if not apprentice, I'm not much of a fighter and I feel I could really be of some use." Her tail swished nervously.

Runningstream sat down, surprised to find Redsky next to her, wrapping his tail around her and holding a cobweb against her wound. She watched him, startled as he licked her muzzle gently.

"What are you.." She whispered, her voice falling until she was silent. She had never had another cat do something like that to her. Not ever.

She gulped a little, not knowing how to react and just stood up straight, staring up at High-rock.

"Thank you.." She murmured quietly to Redsky, side glancing at him.

Er, just wondering. How would you like Foxkit to be your apprentice when you are becoming medicine cat? Their is already a medicine cat so you'd be taking on the job of her apprentice.
