In the grim darkness of the 41st millennia, there is only war...
Hexacole. A Hiveworld settled during the Age of Strife, it was a center of economic prosperity once the Empereror claimed it for the Imperium. That was until the Horus Heresy, where the planet was razed by the Traitor Legions as they made their way to Terra. The planet was only settled about 9,000 years ago, and it's gained much of it's former glory once again. With rich resources, a stable, actually efficient local government, and a livable environment, it was a prime target for settlement. But, the planet holds many, many dark secrets. In the very lowest parts of the Hive, lies an artifact from the planet's past, allowing anyone with enough psykic power to open warp rift, but not tiny rifts that can let a few daemons in at a time. As in Eye of Terra sized warp rifts. When the forces of Chaos found out about this, they besieged the planet, which started about ten years ago. The Eldar, curious as to why Chaos was so adamant about capturing the planet, sent soliders over as well. Then the Orks, seeing all this fighting, had their Brain Boyz fix up the ships so they could further destabilize the planet. The combat this resistance, the Astra Militarum sent their best. The 203rd Cadians, famous for their valor during the Margin Crusade, were one of these Regiments. Along with this, several Krieg Corpsman Regiments, Penal Legions, and other Regiments were sent, the value of this world being absolute. Finally, they sent an entire chapter of Space Marines: the Red Templars. Known for their powerful Librarians and focus on fighting Chaos spawn and psykers, the Red Templars were a perfect pick for the mission, besides the mysterious Grey Knights, of course. Who will win is a gamble, but someone must win. This is war, after all.
